  1. I wouldn't have been upset if they revealed that badass Sara has a fear of boats. I'd understand that after seeing that she almost drowned twice in boating explosions. It would've made her more human. See, that's character building Arrow writers. Something I haven't seen you do that often.
  2. He knows they are called the League of Assassins. So I would hope he knows what those words mean.
  3. So Sara was part of Laurel's journey to becoming the Black Canary for a couple hours. Wow, great planned in advance storyline Arrow writers.
  4. Even Nyssa a killer for most of her life was more respectful to everyone than Laurel. She introduced herself to Felicity right away, maybe Sara was told her some stuff about her. ;), she gave Quentin props when he saved her life and she helped save the city Oliver's way (well, mostly Oliver's way. Only Isabel didn't get the special treatment) Why exactly are we supposed to like Laurel?
  5. That looked like the leather jacket she wears over her corset. It would make no sense for to just to give Laurel her regular jacket. That was her Canary jacket. So Laurel will become BC next season. That's why I'm done. Sara and Nyssa will probably appear next season for an ep or 2, but as assassins. So Sara got her hero props but decided nope, she's a killer. When she hasn't killed anyone since the Dollmaker.
  6. I'm glad Sara's alive. But that's it, I'm done. I'm not sticking around to see Laurel become Black Canary. Sara just handing over her Canary costume so Laurel can just take over and telling her Oliver needs her. Also with Quentin maybe dying. Nope, not enough to make me come back next season. I might watch the episode where Sara comes back because we all know that will happen. But other than that, this show is off my DVR.
  7. Kreisberg about Sara's fate in the finale That answer will be my determining factor if I'm back for season 3.
  8. I don't want Laurel with the LOA because they'd just be copying Sara's story. Why would I want to see that again with a less capable actress? if they are already giving Laurel, Sara's hero name she shouldn't copy everything Sara did. She needs to have a different story, one that is plausible but still different.
  9. I don't think Sara and Nyssa just broke up. We just found out that she had been in a relationship with a woman. However Sara arrived in Starling after the Undertaking, so in the premiere she'd been there for at least 4 months. By the time Nyssa came to get her, it had been 6 months since she last saw her. So Sara was single until she hooked back up with Oliver. While 6 months isn't that long of a time, I've seen people get in relationships again a lot sooner than that. She also got in a relationship with someone she had previously been with and shared a traumatic time with.
  10. Because she has the right name, what other reason do you need? Her fans think that's all that is needed. A constantly kidnapped super hero would definitely be new to the world of heroes. She's the Caged Canary!
  11. Laurel doesn't make any sense, she has a different personality for whatever storyline they are writing her for the week. Even her drug problem appeared and disappeared depending on the episode. Everyone else has the same personality so it's easier to relate or at least understand where they are coming from.
  12. That makes complete sense, because tv shows retcon things all the time. As we saw with the Laurel/Oliver/Sara story. The first season made it seem like Oliver was so in love with Laurel, but still cheated with her fun love to party younger sister because he was afraid of commitment. Then this season we found out that Sara liked Oliver and Laurel made sure her younger sister didn't have a chance with him and that Oliver cheated on Laurel before Sara and even got a girl pregnant. The story was changed completely. Making whatever happened in the first season not matter much. So yeah, method acting is unnecessary in the tv world.
  13. Why would method acting even be necessary for Arrow? It is not a thought provoking psychological show. It's a comic book action show. Maybe that's another reason Laurel feels so out of place, everyone else is on a comic book show and Cassidy thinks she's on a different show. Which is always what it felt like whenever she's on screen and that includes in season 1. Also considering her character is not that deep or dark in the first place. So what exactly is she method acting? We barely saw her drug addict storyline and when we did I couldn't even tell she had a problem. She seemed to act exactly the same. Stephen and Catiy manage to pull of being traumatized, damaged people just fine with their regular acting. Then can have fun and joke around with the cast between takes.
  14. That scene with them didn't really warrant any thought out back story since that whole scene was waiting for Laurel to throw her temper tantrum.
  15. Caity also said her and Paul Blackthrone talked about how they think the relationship between Sara and Quentin was before her death. So the other actors do talk with each other for motivation. The difference is with Cassidy saying it is, I don't see it played like that in her acting.
  16. I don't think flashback Island is ever going away. We'll need another season of Oliver and another woman. The first season was Shado, second season was Sara and the third will be Amanda Waller.
  17. Red represents blood as well, spill her's, Slade. :D Then you and your amazingly sexy voice can stay on the show even if you still have a stupid motive.
  18. It's not like she can request to only kiss single childless actors. She's not 18 anymore and the older she gets the more her co-workers are likely to be married or have kids. Maybe she should think about getting out of the business then. She's got her fashion thing and with that you don't have to kiss married guys as part of the job.
  19. That's the point of acting though. Stephen is married with a kid, Oliver is not. She's supposed to be Laurel and he's Oliver. Acting on feelings outside of the show is what is wrong. When you are acting you are playing different people, if she can't do that she's in the wrong business. That also explains why her "acting" is so off. She is pretty much saying she can't do her job. All the other actresses that have worked with Stephen are able to work with a fictional character and create the chemistry needed to show their characters wanting to kiss Oliver. Caity Lotz talked about how her and Stephen have become good friends and it was weird having to kiss him. She was talking about the kiss in ep 13. Even though it came out of nowhere, I thought it was a pretty hot kiss. She's new to acting was able to get over the hurdle of kissing a married guy she's friends with, because it's called ACTING. They were not Caity and Stephen kissing, they were Sara and Oliver kissing.
  20. I don't think it's that Cassidy doesn't get along with the cast but that she doesn't get along with them that well. Everyone else seem to like each other and have fun hanging out even when they aren't shooting episodes. (at least it appears that way from the pics and vids they post with each other). The pics with Cassidy (that just started towards the end of the season) are only when they are on set. I'm not saying every cast needs to be besties but the one's that are also show on screen.
  21. That's how I looked at Sara/Oliver, they were drawn together because of their shared darkness, shared pain, they felt safe with each other because they didn't have to hide. Long term wise it wouldn't work, but I took it as they both thought they were too damaged to be with anyone good so they got with someone just like them. We also have to take into account Sara's last relationship, which was with the daughter of her assassin master that's like an extreme version of dating your boss's kid. To me it looks like her and Oliver are just trying to find somewhere to belong. It made sense that they thought it was with each other.
  22. I think it's because they are dead set on their original plans that will stick with it no matter how stupid and contrived it will be to arrive there. You'd think since the How I Met Your Mother debacle, they'd see that it doesn't always work out so well. You have to be willing to change if it's just not working out the way you'd hope. They keep forcing Laurel into the spotlight in the hopes that people will suddenly love her. It's been 46 episodes and Laurel is still as hated as ever with an occasional praise for not being the ball of suck she usually is. Which is not much of compliment.
  23. Most of the time I see it's just because of the characters names and how they were together in the comics. I don't see many people talking about the amazing chemistry between the actors. If they had amazing chemistry it would've helped immensely. They don't even have a friendship chemistry. When Laurel and Oliver are in a room together, that's all it is two people in a room. Sara and Oliver didn't have much of a romantic chemistry but I could see they care about one another. I actually think the names should've been switched. Caity should be playing Dinah Lance who went on the boat with Oliver, then came back as the Black Canary. Cassidy's Sara could've been the disapproving older sister that never liked Oliver and blamed him for the death of her sister. She could've then seen how much his experiences had changed him. She could've developed feelings for him then Dinah returned from the dead and Oliver went back to her. It still would've been sister swapping but in a completely different context. They both thought Dinah died, but Oliver never stopped loving her so when she came back he couldn't deny his feelings for her. They also could've realized that they were both too damaged to be in a relationship and decided to just be crime fighting partners. The best plus side would be no one would have to worry all season about Dinah dying so someone less deserving can take her place.
  24. Then we can find out that Nyssa resurrected Sara in the Lazarus pits, she comes back to put her sister behind bars and reclaim her name. There we go problem solved, it pleases everyone, Laurel gets to be BC to for the die hard Laurel has the right name fans, the fans of Laurel going evil get to see that and the Sara fans get to keep Sara as the true Black Canary.
  25. I'm surprised they didn't just say "Embrace Laurel"
