One can imagine they already have something in their contracts forbidding this, or they have naked pictures of Nancy. IMHO but we'll know when The End is near. TLC will finally allow the editors to go wild. Imagine the Duggar outtakes reel, and I"m not talking about the crap we've already seen (Josie the Miracle Baby licking the filthy countertops, etcetera). You have to believe there's some world-class footage of Jessa Blessa losing her shit, for starters.

Probably calling 911.

Bin's the "muscle". They all need a bodyguard, you know. One can only imagine the new filming rules that will happen as a result of this; we all know that J-Chelle is never going to let anyone close enough again to confront her in a public place.

Nate And Jeremiah By Design - General Discussion
Missy Vixen replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Nate And Jeremiah By Design
I liked the reference in last night's episode to "sharing our own stuff". I'm sure Nate and his husband are nice people, but let's put it how it probably really was: They wanted to redecorate their own place and used the things they don't want anymore in someone else's reno. Sew Sumi is right. How are they going to keep up the $100K over budget designs when there's no product placement? I also had questions about putting two small kids in a house full of Carerra marble and "bling". -
Say Yes To The Dress - General Discussion
Missy Vixen replied to Rhondinella's topic in Say Yes To The Dress
We spent $2500. We'll be married 24 years in September. One has to wonder what the most expensive "Kleinfeld Bride" wedding that ended in divorce was. -
I was disappointed with Snatch Game. Dietrich and Liza with a Z were great; the rest weren't even on the same stage. The production group seems to be having trouble recapturing what made this show great pre-VH1.

Say Yes To The Dress - General Discussion
Missy Vixen replied to Rhondinella's topic in Say Yes To The Dress
She got her wedding gown from Oscar de la Renta but she went to KLEINFELD'S to get her freaking reception gown? Uh, no. With an unlimited budget? Hell to the no! SYTTD is going to have to try harder to sell this type of BS; that woman could have anything money can buy and she chose a tacky out of season design that a hundred thousand brides before her have probably worn -- again, BULLSHIT! Anyone with that type of money would be buying custom-designed couture from a designer those who don't watch reality TV would be aware of. My husband hates it when I watch this show. In the meantime, I'm only sorry I wasn't a fly on the wall when Shay figured out he was only getting a commission on $13K or so when Ms. UNLIMITED BUDGET was done shopping. LOL The consultants were practically drooling. -
Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Missy Vixen replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
They did it again recently. I'm hoping for even more overt blame and a transcript. It takes a while (and maximum professional embarrassment) for Nancy to decide to do the right thing. -
Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Missy Vixen replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wouldn't know the truth if it bit them in the face. If they knew what truth was, they would recognize their son needed help, they failed him, and especially failed the four daughters he victimized by blaming them for what happened. They also do not acknowledge the truth of why they will do anything to stay on TLC: They are famewhores of the highest order and refuse to admit their "ministry" is a money-making scheme so they will not have to work to support the family they couldn't afford under any other circumstances. It is my every hope that the man who had his photo misused by Joshley Madison has a meat eater of an attorney. I hope he or she has asked for as broad of a discovery process as the court would allow, up to and including who administers the money received from TLC and other sources, who the checks are made out to, and any other facts that will bring down the Duggar house of cards when aired in open court. -
Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Missy Vixen replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
If they blame Anna publicly and there is a transcript available, I will print it off and send it via overnight mail to Nance. With a letter she won't forget for awhile. If Nancy and her network wants to participate in victim shaming by continuing to give the Duggars a platform, let's see if she has the balls to publicly tie herself and TLC's advertisers to it. Anna did nothing wrong (besides marry that SOB). I noted the glaring omission of Counting On in TLC's "upcoming season" announcement, BTW. -
Say Yes To The Dress - General Discussion

Randy Fenoli's bridal line made its big debut yesterday. Wonder if we will see some of those dresses on SYTTD. -
I saw the photos of Randy Fenoli's new bridal line today. Most are unobjectionable. A couple are stunning. (He's made an Audrey Hepburn-type gown in silk that is to die for.) He also ripped off a certain designer whose name rhymes with Renina... Yes, ladies and gents, it's the Stripper Fairy sheer corset midriff gown! The dress that made me shake my head in disbelief: A beautiful gown that appears to have snowballs where the bride's breasts should be. The rest of the bodice is sheer. I realize I am Old AF, but Randy? Really?

I grew up with it too, and it's all over the place. Gothard is so early 2000's; all the hip kids are Calvinists now. Example: The rise of "Calvinism", and the subsequent fall of many prominent pastors around the country due to their own hubris and belief in their infallibility. If anyone here is in need of some light reading, you might be interested in the series Seattle's The Stranger (newspaper) did on the rise and fall of Mars Hill Church and the biggest Calvinist of them all, Mark Driscoll. Their brand of crazy outstrips the Duggars. To say that I was very worried he would end up with a show on TLC after he left Seattle is an understatement. I'll bet Bin has a poster of ol' Mark hanging in their bedroom. Unfortunately for all of us, the Duggars latched onto TLC's bully pulpit. I'm not sure what will bring them down this time unless the ratings take a permanent nosedive.
-
There's also the side benefit of perpetual fame on TLC. You know they can't wait for one or all of the Duggar daughters to give birth to 10 or more kids; it's money in their pockets!
-
Thank you to @Doodlebug for setting me straight on this one. ;-) It sounds like Triple D believes the same fallacy, so we may see them back in the States sooner than we thought. LOL
-
If she's due in July she'd better get her ass on a commercial flight as of next weekend; I seem to remember something about airlines frowning on pregnant women flying after 7 months. I'm sure they'll lie about it, however. They lie about everything else! Triple D's comments about the Big White Baby "manipulating" them? I am sick that sweet little boy wasn't born into a family that would love him just the way he is instead of their efforts to force him to toe the Gothard line. I'll bet Triple D's mom is oh, so proud when she reads her son's commenting in print that he's subjecting his own son to the emotional abuse his wife grew up with. One is tempted to put money on the fact that Jilly Muffin and Triple D will not be anywhere near Danger America again until 2018.

I'd never watch the show again.

Snark Talk: Home, Home on the (De) Ranged
Missy Vixen replied to film noire's topic in The Pioneer Woman
What "damaging allegations" are those? The fact that 16 oz of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce is too hot for our family to eat? I think you've mixed my comments up with someone else's. You might want to check on that. -
Snark Talk: Home, Home on the (De) Ranged
Missy Vixen replied to film noire's topic in The Pioneer Woman
We've made the Spicy Pop Pulled Pork several times. (I know there's probably a better recipe, but the husband loves the stuff.) We get the smallest can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and use a couple of teaspoons of the sauce and dice up a pepper or two. The recipe calls for a 16 oz can of the stuff. I realize we're food wimps, but we couldn't eat it if we added anywhere near that amount. -
I am betting there have been no "threats" whatsoever and the security is to keep those away who might actually confront one or more of the Duggars with the damage their religious and personal views cause for others. Remember that every time they make an appearance in public, any access to them is heavily controlled, up to and including demands that any questions submitted at Q&A's be on cards, in advance and at one of Jessa Blessa's appearances, they would only answer questions from children. It's unfortunate that they can't handle any kind of disagreement or pushback on their BS.

I turned to my husband as the hot air balloon was soaring away and said, "I think that's it." I appreciate the writers and actors being open to showing some of the downsides of aging -- it's not all fun, games, and a really cool vibrator.

Every other place J-Chelle has met her adoring public had pictures up on FB and Instagram at the speed of light. It's hard to imagine that everyone in Arkansas LOOOOOOOOVES Dairy Queen and can hardly wait for thirty seconds of her time. It's also hard to imagine that she didn't run into anyone during her "three hours" or whatever at Wal-Mart who wanted to give her a piece of their mind. This is the same woman who can't appear at a book signing without heavy security. I have been to many, many book signings; the only authors who have that type of security and babysitting by bookstore employees are former Presidents and Bruce Springsteen. What's she so afraid of?
-
Going to the KJB and J-Chelle thread.
-
I'd rather poke my eye out than watch the Omarosa extravaganza. Those who read the article yesterday -- how many brides will be demanding the same $25,000 in merchandise to appear in the future?
-
This is exactly why they have not pursued a "mission" in the USA. People in America speak English. Triple D and Jilly Muffin are not about to pursue their "ministry" in a country in which everyone has a cell phone, everyone can find at least one Internet connection, and everyone can upload their encounters with the Duggars. It's not about salvation at all. It's all about the appearance of evangelizing while goofing off and vacationing. (Slightly OT) This also puts the lie to that BS about J-Chelle showing up at the local Wal-Mart to "pray" with people. There has never been a photo or video surfacing from those visits. In other words, they did not happen. She cannot risk the un-screened having any attempt to speak to her in public.
