  1. I'm done. Said I wouldn't be back after last season but here I am . But the Khana truck lost me. Plus I really liked the kindness, generosity and passion of the Paisano truck guys. I won't be back for another season.
  2. Nuri...broke my heart. He's young and hopefully Gordon will see his potential and help him along. Hoping its NOT Tucker who wins.
  3. So over Tom. Week after week...he's too ME oriented... from blowing a budget on an expensive bottle of alcohol to leaving behind a basket of needed ingredients... and never owning up to anything. I hoped it would be him packing his knives tonight
  4. At this point I do not want to see Tucker win. She lost me when she wrestled the steak away a couple of episodes ago. She said its not personal and I get that...but that was it for me. I'd like to see Nuri move forward next week
  5. Wow...where to begin on last night's show. Talk about over-the-top in terms of real estate and "adult" behavior. I can't imagine the indulgence of having a 32,000 square foot "second home." If I had the money I wouldn't consider it. I'm on the West Coast and the overbuilding they are doing everywhere here is just sickening. We're generally in a state of drought so one wonders where all the water is going to come from? They had to shut the grid down in hot weather for the existing dwellings we already have - where are THOSE resources going to come from for all these huge expensive places? Okay - kicking soap box aside. Flagg has been annoying me since the beginning of the season - he's always been a bit over the top for me but this season he's unbearable. The way he skates through life and expects others to pick up his slack - so he can sleep an extra hour for example would be beyond limits if I were working with him. I suppose it's because he grew up with wealth but really, he's supposed to be a business person making his own $$. His behavior on last night's show was unbelievable. I'd like to think it was all scripted but the anger (justifiably) from Tracy seemed quite real. And the fact that the 23 year old at the table was the most adult out of all them spoke volumes. When I saw that they were going to focus this season on the Altmans, Flagg and Tracy I had reservations about even watching this season. I think Flagg will be on his best behavior for possibly one episode and then slide back into his condescending and sarcastic self. I'm definitely over him. Let's hope next season is better. This season pretty much felt like a soap opera, with a few nice houses thrown in for filler.
  6. Halfway through the finale I was wishing they could dig up Smurf and kill her all over again. What an awful human being she was. As much as I loved Pope - I think the only way this could have ended was him dying - and hopefully in death he finally got the peace he never had in life, thanks to his mother (and I use that term loosely). It was heartbreaking to see Craig die in Deran's arms but those two were so close that it was only right that Deran was with him till the end. Deran has now lost the two people in the world who meant the most to him - it would be great if they did a reunion show down the line so we could see how Deran has fared - and hopefully for Deran to give J what he so richly deserves. As for J - I hope he's miserable and alone for the rest of his days because that's what he deserves. The ending shot of him all alone in a beautiful location was perfect. I hope he has Groundhog Days that find him alone like that every single day. At some point, even a coldhearted person like J has to ask himself was it worth the $$. I'm going to miss Animal Kingdom and the Cody boys. Great series, great cast. Thanks for six years of entertainment!
  7. I was thrilled to see Bailey, Comfort, Koine and Lex back on the stage, all of them particular favorites of mine. Pairing Beau, who I find entertaining, with Lex really did show the contrast between a dancer with beautiful lines and one who....doesn't. It illustrated to me what many have been saying on this board about Beau's technique of dancing compared to the five other dancers. Broadway will love him I hope. And I have to agree with Twitch's comment about Comfort being one of the best dancers the show has had....love her!!
  8. I don't care at this point who wins and won't be watching next week. This show now has the feel of American Idol....not about who can cook well (or sing) but more about drama, popularity and social media presence rather than actual substance and talent. I'm done.
  9. I've been a fan of Derrick and since the judges decided Claudia was a better cook than him (NOT) I had hoped he could somehow come back and win the title that was supposed to be his (IMHO). But I have to say Amanda is growing on me - I just hope it doesn't come down to the two of them in the end. I'm also hoping Fred finds his right footing again next week and produces a Fred quality dish - I've always had a soft spot for him. I would be a nervous wreck presenting anything I made to Joe. He certainly doesn't pull any punches!
  10. Wow - these comments have been quite eye-opening. I wondered why anyone would stand out in the heat of the desert for 45 minutes waiting for overpriced mac and cheese - now I know why. Because it's not costing them anything out of their own pockets. I have been rooting for ESO, who actually produce some good looking food that they are proud of and get the job done without drama. If everything I'm reading above is true, they won't win precisely because they are NOT all about drama. I guess that's what I get for believing "reality" TV. But I still hope they win.
  11. What have they done to this show? It feels so rushed now. Two dancers a week now go home, there's no group dances and no time to really get to "know" the dancers. And no more voting from the TV audience? So...is it just the judges deciding? And don't even get me started on the judges. I guess I get why they had to change to some younger judges but I miss Mary's enthusiasm. The show doesn't have the same "warm fuzzies" it used to have - though I do still thoroughly enjoy watching the dances. It was great to see Robert Roldan and his choreographed dance brought tears to my eyes - so beautiful and powerful. Considering the way they are rushing through the season - I have to wonder if they will be doing a tour after the season ends? Or is that gone too? I miss the old, non-rushed format. That said - I think Keaton may have a shot at winning. And while Beau isn't technical, I do actually enjoy his enthusiasm and foresee a future in Broadway shows for him. I'm not even going to talk about the judges....though I will always have a soft spot for Twitch.
  12. I will be amazed if Jazz actually goes to Harvard - she is so not ready. And will be even more amazed if she does go and lasts more than a term. The only way I see her succeeding at Harvard, at least in the beginning, is if she has Jeanette there bolstering her up every day the way she has been for most of Jazz' life. She'd have been so much better off at Pomona where the expectations are high - but not nearly as high as what she will be facing at Harvard. Certainly even Jeanette has to realize in her heart Jazz is not ready to live away from home, support network, etc?
  13. I am really hoping that the family is not so Jazz-centric once the cameras are off. So unfair to the other three kids if so.
  14. My new feel-good show. I happened on to this show as Ben's truck caught my attention - then when I saw the house they were working on (LOVE old houses) I decided to stay with it. Now I'm catching up with the prior seasons and loving each episode. Husband was a big fan of Chip and Joanna - I could never warm up to them or their show - but Ben and Erin....I absolutely adore them. Love their passion, love their creativity, love that they reuse materials as often as possible, LOVE THEM! Oh - and Ben's sense of humor - you never know what to expect out of that man's mouth! Love this show!
  15. The show feels rushed and forced now. I'm with those of you who say it isn't what it used to be. I used to call it "my happy show" as it made me feel so good watching it. But now it seems they're just trying to fill the hour (or two) and get rid of dancers as fast as they can. I won't even mention their obvious biases that they don't try to hide.
  16. Nancy left him with the couch he wasn't ready to get rid of and a bare mattress - didn't even leave his pillow! She's been just a *bit* angry with you Bill - do you get that now?! It's a real shame that they stopped investigating the child murders after they took Williams into custody. I haven't had a chance to look it up - but did the murders stop after he was arrested? I'm pretty sure they did?
  17. I think Bailey is a supremely gifted dancer...but given his size can be make it as a dancer? I ask this as a 5'1" person without a dancer bone in her pathetic body.
  18. Wait...WHAT??? Benjamin is gone?? Going into a corner to pout if so. NOOO!!!
  19. This show felt rushed to me. They are cramming a lot into one hour. My favorite Benjamin did not disappoint! As for the judges continuing to gush over Madison's every move...😵
  20. I think she wanted them to know it was her. Her home is Wentworth...not out in the world She wanted them to know it was her. Her home is Wentworth..not the outside free world Sorry for double post
  21. Oops..posted too soon! J is on the job
  22. I am thinking J needs to take Angela on a boat ride...
  23. So relieved to see arrogant a** Evan go. Right to the last word he spoke as he was leaving....arrogant. Unbelievable. Such disrespect for all three chefs. Buh-bye!!!!
  24. I worked at the VA in the late 70s/early 80s and it was like that back then as well. It was an all day ordeal for those poor veterans. I was both saddened and angered to see it still goes on all these years later. The doctor that didn't order the MRI because he wasn't authorized to spend that kind of $$? You should SEE the waste that goes on the VA because there's an endless supply of money coming in. We used to toss out thousand dollar hyperalimentation (IV total nutrition) if we weren't sure if we added enough potassium. When I crossed over from government work to private hospital work with my toss if if you're not sure it's right government employee mentality, they set me straight REALLY fast that that's not how it's done in the private world! This was a tough episode for me - my blood was boiling that the vets are still so disregarded in a system that is supposed to be there for them.
  25. I actually miss Simon and his brutal honesty. Harsh but he knew real talent. I don't want to single out singers i doubt he would have allowed in (okay...one...whose name starts with B) but really??? I feel they soft pedal the criticism now
