  1. Surprised that the contractor husband couldn't put a door in the back of the house on the lower level for his mother-in-law.
  2. Could have never surrender control of decorating my home and leave home for two weeks. Just not that kind of person. Guess I'm just a control freak at heart.
  3. I didn't like that tile around the fireplace. Thought the pattern was too big and distracting. Also agree about the color of the stairs runner. Could have gone with a matching gray.
  4. They changed the title, but it's the same old episodes. That's why they are recording. Had to manually erase mine because my Tivo thought it was a new episode.
  5. Cincinnati wife was a childish 28 year old who had to live close to mommy and daddy. Wonder how she ever made it through nursing school. Of course, her husband wasn't a prize either.
  6. I'm not squirming but really sad to see what the rioters destroyed and looted downtown in our historic area, along with threatening restaurants patrons who just happened to go out for the night with their families. Downtown still looks like a war zone.
  7. Don'r think so. Used to melt swiss cheese all the time on sandwiches at that age or younger.
  8. Couldn't understand Ava's hangup about melting swiss cheese. It happens all the time.
  9. I'm with you regarding Alex and her daughter's segments.
  10. Just read on line that he wanted to open the first marijuana pharmacy in New Orleans area and lost out on his bid.
  11. I'm from Baltimore and always remember the white marble steps leading up to the front door that women use to scrub, especially around the Eastern Ave. and Little Italy areas.
  12. Very typical of a lot of the historic houses in the Old Town section of Alexandria, Virginia. Live in one.
  13. Just looked it up and she actually rode into the battle at Flodden.
  14. I've seen some that even have a Go Fund Me account. Still find this in really poor taste. If they want the money so bad; just have a small wedding instead of an expensive extravaganza.
  15. Unfortunately, that type of registry seems to be the new normal. Funding for the honeymoon, landscaping the backyard, etc. I've seen it on several different bridal registries. In my day, if you couldn't pay for it you shouldn't have it. Not how it seems to work now.
  16. I actually liked Brittany in the show featuring the brit, wife and 2 year old daughter. She deftly grabbed that cream pitcher away from the kid before it was going to be all over the table. Kudos to you Brittany for doing that. Don't like men who wear jeggings and he is trying to emulate Brittany's wearing of the hat on the back of your head fad.
  17. Can't understand people's fixation with having to have a sight line on their kids all the time and turning the dining room into a downstairs play area. Last thing that I would want to see is all those toys right when I walk into a home and let's forget being close to one's parents. No way.
  18. Not sure how well that the snow melting feature will take care of a big canadian snowfall in that stairwell. Still not a fan of Bernadette. Have to wonder if the finished product is just staged for TV like Fixer Upper or it stays. They stored a lot of furnishings from the basement in their dining and living room on the first floor.
  19. The judge threw out the the Freeze the Assets lawsuit by the plaintiffs according to a very recent article in the Chicago Tribune.
  20. I thought that his art work looked liked a paint by numbers project.
  21. Noticed that the house is now in the rental pool, so much for moving in. Also after studying all the pictures; I think that it's a duplex. Too big for just 2,400 feet. $600,000 would never buy direct beach front in the Beaufort area.
  22. I think that's what the plaintiffs are concerned about and hence the lawsuit. Just saw where Augusta is still on the market for $1,449,000.
  23. Well done Alison; Stop Work Order with five code violations on the Augusta Blvd. property and Donovan isn't even working on this project. And this is just in the beginning stages of the project.
