  1. Wasn't it revealed a while back that he's actually sick? I don't recall if it was terminal though.
  2. I'm impressed with Octavia's balls, walking out in front of all the warriors who were only mere minutes ago ready to dethrone her. She might need an extra pair of eyes to watch her back. I understand everyone's annoyance with the wishy-washy nature of WanKru, but what else is there to do? They don't have any resources for food (although they magically have enough for nearly 15000 meals, apparently) and we didn't even see if the bunker is still intact after the fire. Was the fire contained? Octavia did say something along the lines of stay there and die or go with her to war. The majority that's "following" her is most likely doing it simply to find Maddie and/or kill Octavia along the way and then surrendering or overtaking the valley. As for the question about 50 miles... I think it was some kind of difficult route because of the Primefaya? Although I agree that all the hiking between camps in previous seasons were almost all farther away. I suppose WanKru's weak health is a good excuse for making it seem so difficult now? Also, no horses this time around.
  3. So the tattooed folks were fodder, not outliers? Seems like a bit of a stretch, especially with them clearly having military training.
  4. Oh, I guess that makes sense. The sound wasn't terribly good, so I couldn't really recognize the language(s). Guess it's a good thing all military forces around the world use the exact same hand signals for the exact same things then... If it really is the enemy, then I doubt it's on Earth. Most likely a planet where they've captured one of the enemy and are holding them for these experiments. Otherwise they'd run the risk of it getting free (what with no one being able to see them and them apparently being immune to IR or too fast or whatever) and ruining all the hosts' plans for Earth. I don't even know or care why they're fighting. One "species" is an invisible alien and the other a machine? Makes no real sense, to be honest. Also, I'm gonna assume the hosts have more than just Earth under their control and are therefore experienced in taking over a planet. As to why they need biologically enhanced soldiers to fight their war, I have no idea. Makes no sense. Unless the hosts are incapable of physically fighting and/or even detecting the enemy, but that doesn't make sense considering the tech we've seen so far.
  5. I was wondering about Dyoza telling Mcreary (?) about the baby... I thought she told Abby she'd been pregnant for a hundred years and a few (don't recall) months, thereby implying she got pregnant before she was imprisoned/put aboard the mining ship? And all we've seen and heard so far implies that the prisoners didn't rise up (under Diyoza?) until after the ship had already left and therefore after she'd been in stasis? So, is it really his baby or was she simply saying that to stun him and get the upperhand?
  6. Oh yes, I'd forgotten about the three outliers that were killed in the opening scene. I'm a bit confused about the chain of events. In earlier seasons (don't recall specifics) we saw a couple of outliers (as we now know) being taken, stuffed into those capsules and later, at the labor camp, we saw the capsules being transported off the planet IIRC. Now, the outliers remain in the colony while in the pod, although I suppose it's possible the ones we saw earlier this season simply hadn't been transported off planet yet. Now, in this opening scene, we see they are apparently set loose somewhere (not sure if it's Earth or not) to see whether they can defend against an attack. Presumably released by the hosts to see if they can fight the host's enemy. It's possible the hosts keep changing the green gunk they're feeding the pod outliers in the hopes of improving them so they can defeat the enemy, which is tested on a test ground? Anyway, at least two of the outliers seemed to speak the same language. Now, my version didn't have subtitles (I don't know if anyone's did) but it didn't sound like anything recognizable to me. Was it a known foreign language and the two just happened to speak the same language? Have they had training or instructions in between kidnap/transport and this experiment? They must have been at least conscious at one point, because how else would they know about the tattoo on their back?! And that it was a symbol to show others saying "I'm just like you, we must work together" rather than try to kill/escape each other?
  7. I actually think that if Kynes told Snyder his plan, he'd be on board and would do whatever he could to keep the IGA from finding out/interfering. Unfortunately, it's too late for that now.
  8. I thought Rorish and the old Doctor whose name I've forgotten have been working at Angels for ages? Thought it was so weird for him to say something like "motherhood becomes you" near the end, as if she didn't have two kids that died?
  9. Was the guy talking to the hardware store outlier in the opening scene the same guy talking to Kynes about the outliers wanting weapons and the guy 'escorting' Snyder? It was hard to tell for me. Oh and was it just me or was the background noise very loud for everyone else as well? I could hardly hear the dialogue on occasion, but the rain sounded like it was falling on my own windows.
  10. Well, that was a meh episode. The scene with Deacon and Jessie in the supermarket was so lame. I don't like her and I just knew she would get all emotional again. Standing there, crying in the supermarket after bumping their carts into each other because neither was paying attention... oh please. I hope they don't get back together. She's so whiny. Honestly, I don't know what she gave Deacon, other than maybe feeling like she needed/depended on him, the way Rayna never did. But I already spoke about that in previous threads, so I'll leave it at that. And Jessie's "solution" for Brad is so typical: let's hope karma exists. Oh yes, because why not actually do something yourself if you so fear for your son's life/happiness. She and Deacon would probably be depressive as hell as a longterm couple, her with her neediness, weakness and inability to do something (and she wanted to study psychology? Oh, how typical!) and him as the recovering alcoholic with anger management issues. How dramatic is Purple Hair? That first scene with her and Avery made no sense at all. First she's like she doesn't want to be responsible for tearing his family apart, then it's all so complicated, but Avery thinks she's oversimplifying it? Color me confused. Also, I must have missed something (and I even managed to refrain from FF through any scenes!) because next thing I know they're having lunch and are discussing Brad's behavior? Everything seemed fine between them? Ugh. I do think she should stay away, but only because there is no chemistry between her and Avery and after her antics in this episode, I'm willing to bet she's more dramatic than Juliette! At least Juliette often has a relatively logical reason for her behavior (at least in her eyes/from her experience), Purple Hair just seems erratic and thriving on the drama. Also, do no care about her and Brad. I saw someone ask why so much time is given to Brad? I'm guessing TPTB figure he's related to major characters through his working relationship with Purple Hair (Avery), his working relationship with Daphne (and thereby also connected to Deacon) and his relationship with Jessie (Deacon). I just wish he'd go away. Jeff was a much better adversary and he would have never stooped as low as a reality contest like Nashville's Next Country Star or whatever it's called. The man had standards and mocked Layla's experience with America's Hitmaker or whatever it was. Oh, those were the days... Scarlet and vet boy are annoying as hell, but I was pleased their scenes were relatively short. The PTSD/vet snippet at the VA was such a PSA... oh and hey, maybe now I know why Deacon likes Jessie: Scarlet also very nearly burst out in tears when talking to that doctor and we all know how overemotional and dramatic Beverly was... he likes needy and whiny women, apparently. Certainly has (had) quite a few of them in his life. Oh and Scarlet is back to writing? Daphne is apparently very inspiring... despite no one being able to hear what she was actually singing for the most part. Guess Scarlet will go back to the boys to sing and they'll welcome her with open arms now that Purple Hair is gone and Gunner can go back to being his ridiculous self when it comes to her. I don't know what did or did not happen in Deacon's youth, in part because of all the recent retconning. But it's entirely possible he and his father are both speaking the truth (according to them, anyway). Like I said before, Deacon resembles his father way more than he likes to think/acknowledge, and while I am pleased he finally admitted that he himself has been given a lot of chances by those in his life despite screwing up all the time because of his addiction, I still think he's being pretty hypocritical without even realizing. Remember all the drama with Rayna about him blacking out all the time due to his drinking? And not passing out from the booze but doing and saying things (like proposing to her) and not being able to remember a single thing the next day? His father was an abusive drunk who didn't seem to have a lot going for him, so I wouldn't be surprised if meaningless jobs and drinking to cope with and possibly raising his hand a time or two to his wife and children are the only things he recalls from that time. He does seem to be making an effort. But like someone else mentioned, he's also a bit manipulative (but possibly not on purpose) with the girls. But Deacon, like always, just starts yelling and screaming when he disagrees rather than trying to have an actual conversation. Maybe if he tried, then he would come to the conclusion that hey, his father is trying and he has the same response to getting drunk as Deacon and so he really does not recall all of the abuse. And also, if his father really was a mean a drunk as Deacon claims, then it's very possible that what little the man remembers has all blurred together to raising his hand a time or two or something like that. And the bit from the preview, about him giving Deacon his music, does actually seem to jibe with one of the recent flashbacks where Deacon was playing the guitar. But for Deacon, who's been traumatized from an early age, all of the abuse stands out, none of it is blurred together but all the good things have most likely been forgotten/repressed because they violence and fear outweighed them by far. Ugh, I don't know why I'm even trying. I doubt the writers have given it half as much thought as I just did... Oh and yay for Juliette being back. I also would have preferred her showing up at Deacon's but maybe she thinks he's got enough on his plate after Rayna's passing. I thought Hallie (?) lived pretty far away, though? Ah well, doesn't matter. It was nice to see a song actually being recorded (was it at HW65 though?) because I thought maybe TPTB had forgotten about that part of the show, what with no one ever performing, writing or practicing or even talking about any of those things anymore (except for Gunner constantly complaining about practice). Good to see Juliette behaving like an actual adult, but I agree with others who said that she and Avery could have easily stayed in the apartment/house together? I mean, sure, we only ever see the kitchen/living room and the occasional glimpse of Cadence's bedroom but I'm pretty sure the place is supposed to be a lot bigger than that. Certainly big enough for two adults and a toddler. Letting Juliette take care of Cadence was weird as well, even aside from her questionable judgment, considering she and others mentioned several times how tired she was/bad she felt or looked. And she was fired up about Scientology the Movement (I would also say I'm so looking forward to her taking them down but then it's only a few more eps so it won't be satisfying at all) but ready to crash and has just been gone for what, several months (?), so it makes no sense to leave her to care for a child she showed hardly any interest in the last time Avery spoke to her. At the very least they could have had Emily stay with her and Cadence. It's not like TPTB aren't letting other unimportant characters chew up the screen, at least the majority of watchers of the show seem to like Emily. And last but not least, I would like to see Ilse sing a bit more because she's got a great voice and stage presence and if we're gonna waste time on Nashville's Next whatever then let's give her a moment to shine rather than Brad or the other unnamed judge/coach/contestants. PS. Despite the lengthiness of this post, I forgot to say that Gideon must have been living under a rock (or possibly in a bottle) if he does not know that only the oldest of Rayna James' daughters was fathered by Deacon. But it does seem ridiculous how he spoke of "their grandma" in the pics etc and how proud he seemed to be of Daphe performing (guess he could just really love music...).
  11. Anyone remember when this show was about the actual medicine and, you know, the code black in the ER? Apparently there is no such thing as a code black anymore and surgeons just send admitted patients from surgery down to the ER because they're running out of room... The only scene I liked was Rorish with the father of the dead boy. Totally could see the show wanting to ship them. Did the actor who plays Willis demand a spinoff and was instead given his own story within the show, separate from the other characters? I used to like him, before he became the doctor aboard the ambulance. Now I can barely stand his scenes. His partner annoys me. On a totally superficial note, I'm curious as to her hair products seeing as she'd just finished a nightshift, drove all the way from LA to Chino, sat through a funeral and memorial service, drove all around Chino to find a motel, saved a self-inflicted gunshot victim and drove all the way to the nearest hospital and then later back to LA and her hair was still perfect!
  12. I don't read or write in this fandom, but I was so disappointed with how they handled the aftermath of Rayna's death (and the subsequent/continuing mess) that I was tempted to write fix-it fic. I'm simply not invested (or interested) enough in this show to "fangirl". However, my fix would be that Rayna's death shocked Maddie into learning to accept and take responsibility and try to actually start behaving like the adult she (age-wise) is; Rayna and Deacon got married with a prenup because of the girls and Highway 65, so Maddie and Daphne inherited Rayna's stake as well as the estate etc., basically Deacon got nothing except what he brought into the marriage and he's fine with that; Tandy returns to help the girls cope with losing their mother, as she's been in their shoes and she, along with Bucky, become mentors for Maddie as she learns about owning (part of) a business; Maddie enrolls into business school or whatever it's called; Teddy is released from prison and he and Deacon fight about custody over Daphne, so Maddie intervenes (possibly with help of Tandy) and gets legal custody of Daphne. I don't know enough about the law over there to know whether that's possible, but considering Maddie managed to get emancipated mostly based on Deacon's actions and Teddy just got released from prison, I'd say she has a pretty strong case; Deacon may or may not remain living with the girls in Rayna's house; unlike Maddie, who's too busy with HW65/school, Daphne slowly takes steps to start a musical career and juggles it with school, while Juliette becomes her mentor and Glenn her manager, while Deacon is there for emotional support/guitar lessons; Juliette takes a step back from performing because of Cadence and Daphne (and she may or not get pregnant again) but not recording and Avery picks up more gigs as a producer and does very well; Gunnar and Scarlet remain a musical duo and do a lot of writing and singing; Will records the song Gunnar wrote for him way back when Will struggled with his sexuality/public persona and it's released as a single and does so well that he finally gets to perform and sing again, while finally being "allowed" to promote himself as a gay cowboy country singer and also gets more involved in LGBTQ+ issues... did I forget anyone?
  13. But we know all activity and location is tracked via the phones, so taking their/any phones with them on a super secret mission to steal something super important would be kinda dumb. That's what I was thinking, too! So ridiculous. Didn't they learn anything from the glove (or whatever it was) they stole from the hosts? That one had tracking tech inside as well. He specifically asked about Charlie and Will threatened him with violence (I think) if he ever said that name again, so yeah, I think he's noticed. ~ I understand Will's need for vengeance against Snyder, but how does he even know Snyder was responsible for luring the occupation to the resistance camp? Also, considering Snyder's previous efforts (in helping him find Charlie) and how well they know each other (both in the colony and later on the run/cabin), does he really think Snyder intended for Charlie to get killed? It's rather unreasonable, especially since Will and Lori (?) were about to be executed by the resistance and only survived because the occupation attacked the camp. Oh and I also thought it shady that the doctor only said that Will kicked her out of the car, rather than say he told her to abort the mission and kicked her out. She made it seem like Will was very unreliable and acted for no reason.
  14. I watched this episode and the previous one right after each other and it was like one whole episode together. Was so glad when Scarlett and purple hair weren't featured much in the previous episode and we got to see a lot of Juliette (regardless of the dumb storyline), I should have known this episode would be the opposite. Guess I should be grateful we didn't get more teen relationship "angst" in this one. Wasn't it said/implied Deacon's father was dead? And why, if Teen!Deacon threatened him and he left, did he and Beverly always claim they left because of how horrible it was at home? Sounds like they're doing a retcon and I don't like it. The actor playing his father (Gideon?) is a good one, but I don't care much for this new storyline. I will say Deacon's got some nerve to react the way he did when visiting his father and later at the dinner table with the girls, considering what we've seen and heard about his own drunkenness. He may not have ever hit a child as he always so proudly claims, but he's been pretty abusive to Rayna (especially in flashbacks) and he's got some serious anger issues even while sober. And sure, most of that will come from the way he was raised, but in all of his adult life he's never seemed to take any steps into fixing it aside from AA. He should have gotten some major anger management and possibly therapy to get to the root of his issues etc. And by not telling the girls why he doesn't want his father in his life and instead telling Maddy to "please eat your food", he's only making things worse. No wonder she went looking for her grandfather and trying to fix his relationship with Deacon. On a side note, I rolled my eyes at her inappropriate comparison about her own issues with her parents. Spoiled bratty behavior does not equal victim of domestic abuse by drunk father. But I guess she wouldn't know, seeing as Deacon apparently never told her (although I thought it'd come up in the past, but maybe that was only with Rayna and/or more retcon). I don't care for Scarlet (and from the sounds of it neither did grandpa, ha, "that... Scarlet") and FF through the bathroom scene because her relationship with and trying to fix veteran boy is so awful. She's completely out of her depth and will more likely do more harm than good. Her actions could have easily resulted in veteran boy killing himself in front of his wife (and possibly son) at the least and a murder-suicide at the worst. Don't care about Purple Hair. She's also incredibly dumb. Of course Brad would retaliate after their little talk. Her conversation with Jessie from the previous episode was so stilted and awkward, but she claimed she could handle Brad. Ha! Should have just played dumb when he made his overt advances and waited until the contract for the tour was signed and everything, before confronting him. Or just keep on ignoring him. I know that's not the PC thing to do, especially not in this MeToo time, but as a beginning and newly signed artist you cannot start your relationship with your record boss that way. Either confront him and be prepared to burn that bridge and leave, or play dumb and keep your distance until everything is in black and white and/or he loses interest. Miss Will having an actual storyline. And why are they joking about his serious health issues? Some friends... Also, why weren't he and Gunnar writing together? Avery might not be there, but that doesn't mean the two of them couldn't collaborate. Instead, Gunnar's writing in his bedroom and Will is watching YT vids? Please. I did a rewatch of the show a while back and it was just such a contrast to what we're seeing now. Back then I often set my laptop on the music setting for the best sound because of all the songs/song writing/singing, but nowadays we're lucky if we get 1 minute of actual music (and then it's split between Deacon singing an old one and purple hair being mediocre only to get praised to the heavens by Avery about her awesomeness on stage/singing). This show was so much better before Deacon's liver/Beverly storyline and everything that came after.
  15. I was half expecting Octavia to stomp her feet when she was having her little "speech". Looked and sounded like a child having a temper tantrum. She's also dumb to trust Cooper who went behind her back to breed the worms (if I heard correctly when she spoke to Indra about it), when Cooper has nothing to test whether the worms will or won't destroy/eat the valley. But then that's typical of Octavia, latching onto the first idea she hears (never her own, not even OneKru was hers - it was Jaha's) and then defending it to everyone else without thinking it through. For a moment I was wondering whether we'd get to see corpses chopped up, hanging in the freezer when Monty and Clarke went into the lab, but alas. I'm still not convinced the show will go down the cannibalism route, especially when the farm is practically dying and Cooper used the dead bodies and a live one for her experiments with the worms with no backlash from Octavia or Indra (because I doubt anyone's gonna want to try to eat those worm incubators after seeing how sick Octavia got from her infection). Abby annoys me. Show, give me an explanation about her addiction other than her resorting to pain meds after that botched experiment on her and Raven. Raven's doing fine and while Abby didn't get the same treatment as quickly (I don't recall what specifically happened back then), I just don't buy her addiction to meds right now. Unless she was forced into preparing the dead for food, but like I said, the actions in this episode seem to contradict the speculated cannibalism. Oh and Kane annoys me as well. Any chemistry he and Abby had is gone now and so is my good will/tolerance for them. He should start making himself useful again and that means more than a 10-second scene with the Colonel while talking to Echo. How come Maddi is such a good fighter? Did we ever see Clarke as a terrific fighter with a sword/in hand-to-hand? I don't recall. But considering the life they've been leading in the valley, I doubt they did a lot of training with swords/sticks and hand-to-hand, unlike the ones on the space station (and who had Echo, a rather good fighter, to learn from). I'm not sure about Octavia's motivations in regards to Maddi. She's so petty that I can definitely see her gearing up Maddi for the war just to spite Clarke, but it's also possible that she's hoping Maddi will be killed and she can say she was trying to mentor the young nightblood if there's backlash from OneKru when they realize she was a trueborn nightblood. It's always difficult to read the actions/emotions on a show when the writing isn't that consistent or strong and the acting is mediocre at best. Oh and I would be happy if Maddi is gone. Clarke has become so irrelevant now that it's all about Maddi for her. I would be fine with Maddi if she sticks with the other kids and we only see her every now and then with a training session or something.
  16. Perhaps he likes the feeling of being needed and capable of offering her protection? That's one of the few things Rayna wasn't and it's always been clear that he was far more dependent on Rayna than she was on him. It's weird though that Deacon sort of fell for Jessie after hearing her sing and appearing to at least be emotionally stable and now she's such a mess. Their whirlwind romance just doesn't have the foundation/continuance to make sense or make me root for them. And him financing her custody battle under the pretext of feeling guilty for getting her into more trouble is ridiculous considering the amount he's quoted and the fact that up until very recently, Highway 65 wasn't doing that great financially so it's not like he's got millions in the bank. Didn't Juliette and Avery get a divorce during the Jeff days? When she was boozing it up? He got sole custody in return for letting her break the news how and when she wanted. And then they sort of reconciled just prior to her plane crash, but they didn't get remarried.
  17. I think TPTB are trying to portray Purple Hair as the female version of guys in a band, who'll sleep with anything that is interested in them. Her little speech about how it's different for women in such a situation seems to be part of that. But unfortunately Gunner is written as such an idiot that I can't imagine her wanting him around more than necessary (i.e. practice and performance) especially when he's being all needy and constantly hinting at wanting more than she obviously wants. Observing Avery and seeing how he's dealing with Juliette and Cadence is something that really seems to appeal to her. I'm not sure if she's ever had a good relationship, as in someone who treated her as an equal and cared about her the way she cared about them, and we're supposed to think that she can tell Avery is a good guy and she wants that for herself.
  18. I think the show might have made this more believable if they hadn't done the time jump/added a scene to the previous episode and showed the Bowmans going onto a bus and ending up at their new place. In that case, none of the people in the bloc would have reason to be suspicious of all the newcomers being bused around. There were white helmets though and in the beginning of the episode, Bram tells Gracie not to forget her phone which to me sounded rather ominous. I figured they had to carry their cell phones with them in order to be tracked and always reachable (although I have no idea why a kid would need to be reachable) and that was confirmed by the scene with the cop.
  19. Yay, we got the only two giggling teenage girls together in this show! And not just one scene, oh no, at least 3 (I FF'ed through them) and they're BFFs now! And for fun and kicks we also got Cancer Boy's Father hogging screentime. Willis and Rox's "relationship" is awful. PTB, if you need to zoom in on one of your characters' ears to show the chemistry between your romantic pairing you're doing it wrong. Also, aside from Willis' position, they're wasting a paramedic and ambulance with Rox hovering around the ER when they're not in the field. And where the hell did he get off yelling that the patient's son had to be there while his father was being treated in the ER?! No one needs to see their parent/loved like that, which is exactly why everyone but staff and patient is cleared from a room whenever a patient crashes etc. And in other time wasting; we'll have Mario play tour guide to a patient's sister and sitting in the chapel with her, and later Noah and Mario spending time in the chapel in their working hours. No wonder Angels' ER is always in Code Black...
  20. I was fully expecting Hannah to die from that electric shock, to ensure she and Marshall (?) wouldn't hook up as he's her ancestor... and that, like Reece > Sophie, Hannah had to go back in time to make sure Marshall would help everyone escape.
  21. The other way around. Her real name is Eve, her new timeline name was Greta. And that matches with what Numbers!Guy mentioned, how they'd all taken other identities and committed fraud. Possibly stolen the identities of actual living (up until that point, anyway) people, which would also explain how they managed to get where they are right now in just ten years' time. It looked like Rachel was working on cryptology, possibly trying to translate the Apex language? I don't recall if it was mentioned how long ago Rachel was taken from her parents but it probably wasn't years between the abduction and Caleb and Rebecca traveling to the past. That wouldn't have given her enough training to learn to read the language, unlike Naomi. It's possible the First Wave Refugees took information from the Apex with them but haven't been able to crack it, most likely something to do with the Apex' genetic code. Two episodes ago, I was also wondering if Eve's new plan to kill the 7% carrying the Apex marker is actually the catalyst for the rise of the Apex. That would indeed make it a closed timeloop/self-fulfilling prophecy. And/or they actually created that virus/disease that almost killed Leah, intended to kill Apex marker carriers and it backfired.
  22. Technically, it's Lindauer's (?) fault, because he didn't kill his target because the man was a father. If he had, then Eve presumably wouldn't have come up with this more radical idea of killing everyone with the gene. I'm also just going to assume her "new" husband and child(ren), she herself and none of the first wave refugees are carriers, otherwise she might not be such an advocate of this plan. I wonder how they're going to go about this plan. How could they possibly determine everyone who has the gene? And why trust Lindauer and others to actually kill all these innocents, especially when he couldn't kill his initial target and Numbers!Guy was ready to call it quits. Maybe Eve and the woman holding a gun on Numbers!Guy should just execute the carriers of the Apex gene, at least they both look intent on doing whatever they think is needed. They can off the rest, to ensure no one betrays/stops them.
  23. In the pilot, Emma told Caleb (I think) that the date of birth he gave, was nearly 150 years into the future. And we also saw the year (21-something something) in Reece's flashbacks/forwards. So, obviously the husband knew his wife had traveled to the past, otherwise why ask anyone to run a facial recognition on her if her own great grandparents haven't even been born yet? He was hoping to get reunited with her and presumably didn't expect her (and the other earlier refugees, like Lindebauer or whatever his name was) to have turned out the way she did. He knew she would have a lot of money though. They probably had the plan for a bunch of them to go back in time and try to change the past and he (and others) would follow in the next batch. Now, for some reason at least a decade passed before the next group (husband's group) traveled back into the past, possibly due to some malfunctioning equipment, maybe the power or parts needed for the device or they/he needed to stay in their current timeline for some reason. Eve, however, did not seem to have expected Emma. Now, it's possible she'd been expecting her husband to show up on his own and to be clever enough to wait to be released from the refugee camp and allowed to go his merry way after being "cleared" by Homeland Security instead of blabbing to HS about his wife/earlier refugees, or she believed he'd never follow her (either by choice or because he took so long).
  24. Exactly. The only thing it doesn't explain though is how the informant recognized him. Lindauer didn't know if he would be able to recognize faces and then the informant clearly recognizes him, but if Lindauer has been there for decades then how could he still look similar enough for the informant to recognize him. Anyone know what Reece said at the end of the show, when the store clerk addressed her? Sometimes they mumble things and I can't hear it correctly, but this time even rewinding didn't help.
  25. Scarlett probably has royalties coming in from her songs. Didn't she write like 10 in a week at one point for her publisher, somewhere between her meltdown and hooking up with Gunnar again? And who knows, maybe the girl is smarter than she lets on and had life insurance for her mother. I was confused by Jessie as well, but too disinterested in the storyline/romance to mention it earlier today. A comparison can be made with the accident with Rayna, but at least Rayna spoke up (when she was able) and cleared the air/Deacon. Not that I think Deacon was in the right here. Honestly, I don't know if the writers really are that oblivious or think he is in the right, but that man has some serious anger management issues even while sober. And he's too dumb to realize it and keeps making the same mistakes over and over again. Never did understand what Rayna saw in him. Guess it was the way he made her feel like she was the center of the universe or something. Granted, they had good chemistry on stage and while writing songs together, but that's about it. Never really got that romance. Oh and I do think Maddie should get a place of her own. Preferably far, far away from Nashville.
