  1. Yes. It's gotten so bad that when she said "Oh, Mario" [when he said he loved her and wanted to live together] I was like, 'who's Mario? Oh right!'. It just sounded so fake. And I wasn't feeling their touchy-feely stuff at all.
  2. I completely forgot what happened the last time and when I saw the 'previously on', I was thinking 'oh, right.' and weighing whether I actually wanted to watch it or catch up on some news. In the end, I watched it, but I didn't really enjoy it. Maddie is so annoying. And is looking like an oompa loompa, especially in the last scene next to Daphne.
  3. As much as I dislike Octavia, I think the above bolded is very fitting for her due to her upbringing. She was never given the chance to really develop as person, as she was only allowed out from under the floor a few hours a day and only interact with her brother and mother who, presumably, both doted on her. How could she have possibly developed any real morals, a conscience or an actual personality?
  4. I would have preferred for useless Bram to get killed over Charlie. Charlie was a much better brother to Gracie and had actual survival skills. Plus, he didn't do all the stupid stuff Bram did in the previous season. And he never annoyed me as much as Bram.
  5. Is it wrong that I was hoping the kid would be burnt to a crisp when they found the cabin and that Willis' idiotic action of forcing the door open and causing that huge fire blast would have killed Rox(?), just so that Willis would finally face some consequences for his dumb actions? Also, please get rid of the teen. This show needs better writing, not a teenager, and especially not a teenage romance. If I were the social worker I'd be more worried about the teen not ever attending school and spending all her time candy striping rather than performing CPR (badly) on a patient. Speaking of which, how does the teen think she will become a doctor if she never goes to school? (also, the teen was completely unnecessary in the previous episode, made worse by the fact that she was in this episode again meddling and asking stupid things; how about doing some actual candy striping?) How come CameraIntern suddenly knows how to do stuff? All we've seen him do so far is film, fumble around, be in the way, film, get shot, film, doing other dumb shit and film some more. And now suddenly he can do intubate someone on first try and catch the leg thing? I don't like what they're doing with Dixon. Don't like what they're doing with Rorish(sp?) either, she was so much better in the first season and pre-teen.
  6. Speaking of Nightbloods, I wonder if the former Grounders from the BunkerKru will want Maddie as their new commander as she's the only (known) natural Nightblood alive?
  7. I merely based that on her making Kane fight again the next day, against another "criminal"/enemy of Wonkru. She apparently already had a couple of people lined up. Why was the guy from the next day not included in his initial fight? How many more were on "death row", waiting to play gladiator?
  8. It looked like the Rebellion leader was ready to take off with his fellow rebels (and put the family in "jail") and the alien host to attack Seattle. Then, later, Broussard and the doctor arrived there. I don't think Snyder had the chance to activate his tracker in the woods before he was manhandled back to the camp; most likely the family (and Snyder) escaped "jail" and a fight ensued between them and the rebels, with the rebels either continuing on their way to Seattle or scatter and the family going into the woods again. Or possibly to regroup/rest and then later follow the rebels to Seattle.
  9. What I find puzzling is that people are apparently still committing crimes 6 years in, knowing full well what the punishment is. I'm not sold on the cannibalism yet (might be too dark for this show) but if it is true, then wouldn't that be even more of a deterrent? I can understand them not being afraid to fight/kill, since the majority of people in the bunker are/were Grounders and that's pretty much their life. But it seems odd that there is still so much crime that Octavia can pit 4+ people against each other on a seemingly daily basis after 6 years. "Kane" stealing the pills is understandable as it's an addiction and would therefore outweigh the fight/kill consequences in the mind of an addict. But the rest of them? What's there left to steal, anyway, after 6 years? More blankets?
  10. Maybe Senator Asshole or Veep will become Elizabeth's Veep? The reason it was impossible to hack is that it's airgapped, which is not the case for Air Force One.
  11. I thought it was him hunting for seal, indicating how integrated he'd become in their society as he previously said how incredibly difficult hunting seal was.
  12. I'm not a big fan of getting hitched within months of meeting/falling for each other, but I can understand is a plot device for tv shows. However, in this instance, I hate it. I've said it before (previous eps) in that this "foundation" of April and Matthew is all wrong for their relationship. To make matters worse, there are now two children involved, not just the two of them.
  13. It's also possible that the humans "in charge" on Earth are using the Raps as an excuse and abuse the "power" they've been given. Maybe the Raps told the humans in charge about their situation and enemy and proposed an alliance: advanced technology and defense (because their enemy was also on its way to Earth) in return for human labor to create more tech and defense. And the humans in charge decided to create the colonies et cetera and placed the blame on the Raps. We've never seen the Raps give an order about how to lead the colonies/blocks or to rendition a block, it's always a human telling a lower level human in charge the decisions "their hosts" have made. I also noticed Broussard wasn't affected by the magnetic field or whatever the way the doctor was. And why was everyone stumbling out of the cabin with the Rap/Click after their interrogation? Were they implying that they were being affected adversely during the interrogation or because of that guy's actions when he reached for the Rap/Click and ended the interrogation? Because they seemed fine during the interrogation (and after the wailing stopped). I don't know if some were just exaggerating or if Will was less affected by it than the others (that's always tricky when the actors aren't that good at their job), but if he was then it's possible that's one of the reasons Will and Broussard are on the list.
  14. I might have enjoyed the whole road rage incident if it hadn't already been done by Grey's Anatomy a few years ago. Except back then, I believe there were 3 children and the father was their actual father. It's so strange. In season 1 I couldn't wait for new episodes and was really enjoying this new show. Season 2 was pretty good as well. Now? It's just boring and same old, same old. Also, the last thing this show needs is a teenage romance.
  15. I figured a small percentage of her patients never had cancer, otherwise all of her miracle cures would have attracted too much attention. But throw in a few here and there, and it seems like she's the brave doctor who is willing to try an extreme method/treatment (one she devised on her own) to save lives and she actually succeeds in a few cases! That would attract more attention and customers/patients. Plus, the Medicare money would be a nice bonus, if Priya's claim in the article was correct. Remember how Lane said something about how she (and Bell, IIRC) deserved to make a lot of money and be successful early on, because of all the hard work they put in? And again in today's episode when she was admiring Bell's apartment, she implied she wouldn't be able to afford a place like that (which I thought was odd, though). As for taking the records, I assumed she would blame any missing or deleted files on Nic's B&E earlier. And I don't think she kept the original diagnoses in a digital file. Remember all the trouble Nic went through to get part of Lily's file earlier in the season? She ended up with a hard copy, not a digital file. Also, keeping the original stuff in paper files, would ensure anyone with access to her digital file (i.e. all her employees) wouldn't be able to find out the truth. I'm curious if we'll see/hear more about Nic's "friend" who set her up plus the woman's coworkers in the next season.
  16. I wasn't sure if it was the leader of this resistance faction or the Rap/Clicker (?) they were referring to. Either way, it's not a good sign.
  17. This reminded me of something else in the episode that made me roll my eyes: Bailey said something along the lines of [hospital] having been through this once before and so they knew what to do now, which was clearly referring to Meredith's drowning but also seemed to imply this was only the second time in over a decade?! Not sure about the timeline but with all the first seasons together only covering a year of internship and all the crazy time jumps, about a decade or more should have passed since season 3. Yes and from their religious point of view they probably consider it "fate" that all of this happened and they found their way back to each other... however, if April hadn't left Matthew at the altar, then she never would have gone through the heartbreak of losing Samuel (because it was a genetic defect, right?) and Matthew never would have lost his wife. Instead, they could have been together for years, with 2 or 3 kids (Samuel, Harriet and Ruby).
  18. Yeah, despite the same rules applying to everyone, or whatever the guy claimed when Katie asked him not to be so rough while searching Gracie. He only searched Gracie, IIRC.
  19. I felt this was kind of a let down. I hadn't read/seen any spoilers but as soon as they started worrying about April, I figured out where this was going (although I'll admit I wasn't sure about whether she'd live or die). The reaction of everyone just didn't resonate with me. They'd been ignoring April, her strange behavior and crisis of faith for months and now they were all so affected by it? I don't know if it was the writing, acting or whatever, but they just felt like a bunch of hypocrites to me (and I've never been a big April fan). Also, the fact that no one asked about Matthew's baby was weird. He's a single dad (okay, so now we know he's been dating, but no one knew at the time) who was presumably going into work and was in a car accident. They were all worrying about April because he repeated her name, but no one thought to at least inquire after the baby or maybe one of his coworkers could have mentioned that they knew the baby was with the grandparents or Owen may have mentioned something about there being no sign of a carseat in the car. And Jackson mentioned that he'd had Harriet all weekend because April was out volunteering; I guess Matthew (and April) felt it was more important to spend a weekend volunteering rather than taking care of his newborn baby whose mother recently died. Seriously, who spends a weekend away volunteering in a situation like that when they also work (fulltime?) and were so incredibly torn up about their spouse's death? I wish they'd paired April off with the neuro guy (the one she, Amelia and Herman all slept with), because they had good chemistry and it made more sense. Arizona's info dump was awful and I can't help but think Matthew might have forgiven April for her actions (would probably say he wouldn't have Ruby otherwise, blah blah), but will he ever completely trust her again after she literally left him at the altar? Despite their shared understanding of their grief, theirs is not a good foundation for a relationship. And if they're not going to kill of April, then how will they write her out of the show? She's still Harriet's mom. Hope it won't be an Arizona/Callie situation, but I suppose it'd be a great reason to have to write even less of Avery spending time with his child... On another note, does anyone else think Maggie's lack of interaction/relationship with Harriet is weird considering she and Jackson allegedly have this great romance and all she ever does is say "hi" to Harriet when he comes up to Maggie with a stroller? We've just learned "months" have passed since we last Matthew on the show, so that means Maggie and Jackson have been together for the better part of a year, right? (and apparently they haven't gone out anywhere as a couple yet in all that time, which is kinda odd) I absolutely loved Herman. She's terrific. Goes to show the writers can still write great characters, but apparently choose not to. Wish we'd been left with Herman (not blind) and that Arizona had left years ago, because Arizona is leaving now anyways and hasn't done much of anything lately. I'm happy for Arizona that Herman wants to set up a maternity center (if I heard correctly) but the praise for her stupid first aid cart in case of emergency with a delivery is just ridiculous. They're acting like she redefined maternal surgery or something, when all she did was collect a few items they should already have nearby on a maternity ward and put them together in one cart. I don't know, maybe the maternal healthcare in the US really is that dire, but to a European with decent healthcare in their country it's just laughable. I'll also join with the others in this thread who mentioned wanting a spinoff with Herman and the neuro guy. That'd be great! Herman has a great sense of humor, as does he. Heck, the spinoff could even feature the maternal fetal medicine center with Herman and Arizona and neuro guy could become Herman's partner and we could even see Arizona and Callie reunite (not that I need to, but if that's the price I need to pay for Herman and neuro guy...). The crying by Arizona and Meredith in this episode was awful, by the way.
  20. They didn't say, but considering the place looked ransacked and the door was conveniently left open for her (and shut right after she entered), probably trespassing or breaking and entering. Maybe even worse if medical files are claimed to be missing.
  21. As far as I understood it: 1. I think we're supposed to assume the car hadn't completely filled up with water yet, because the windows (and doors) had been closed when it hit the water. Only when the congressman escaped the car through the window did it presumably start filling up. The aide probably had a concussion (airbag maybe? did we see?) and lost consciousness which is why she couldn't get out on her own despite not having drowned yet. 2. The aide was driving. They mentioned the seat belt bruise (right to left) indicating the congressman being the passenger. In the hospital, before the aide regained consciousness, the congressman told the doctors she swerved to avoid hitting a deer, IIRC, and that's why they hit the water. I think this may have also been the scene where the wife told them the aide used to be her student (or maybe the congressman told them in the wife's presence) when they explained why she was "like family" to them. 3. The aide wrote down that the congressman left her to die when she regained consciousness and still had a tube down her throat. She showed this to the two leads. Then, after the tube had been removed (not sure if that was the same scene or not), she told them that the last thing she saw before blacking out was the congressman removing her bracelet, because he intended to leave her to die and didn't want anyone being able to link them romantically (as he'd given her the bracelet).
  22. I can't believe what they did to Hozier's song. It was just... terrible.
  23. I don't think placing a possibly/likely traumatized child with a traumatized vet who suffers from PTSD and anger management issues among other things is a very good idea.
  24. Maybe they're going full-on soap opera and it'll turn out that Jackson is actually Katherine's and Harper's son and Jackson's father (do we know his name?) is not actually his biological father and when he found out he left and didn't want to remain in touch. Katherine may have willingly slept with Harper (or an actual affair) but if they want a #metoo storyline she could have just been a victim and that's why her relationships with both Avery men was always a bit off. And this other doctor who signed the NDA somehow found out. Don't forget Carina! He also slept with her. I hope there's going to be a serious investigation to determine whether Owen is a suitable foster parent and he'll get turned down because aside from his working hours, that man is such a (psychological) mess with his PTSD, messy relationships and anger issues. Don't tell me that's in the past, wasn't it only the previous episode that he attacked that oncologist? Sure, he didn't physically assault him other than putting (strapping?) him into the chair but he wanted to and the way he reacted was just weird; no normal person would do that, they'd just call the police and let them handle it.
  25. Gosh, what a snore fest. I think the only interesting scene was April with the neurologist with the difficult-to-spell name. And I've never been an April fan up until her crisis of faith, even though that was a bit much at certain points. Who wants to see Bailey have sexy times with her husband? Like Booty Call Bailey wasn't bad enough to suffer through. Deluca and his girlfriend whose name I can't be bothered to remember are so boring. Why spend time on them at all? They're not a cute couple. He's regressed since she entered the scene, not that I was ever a fan of his. But it all went downhill from his first appearance. I'm not invested in the annoying giggling/seizure boy or the miracle laser tumor melting operation the dream team came up with. Nor am I a fan of Kimmy. Remind me why I should like her? Because she can sing? She's just an annoying whiny kid who happens to have cancer. This is a medical drama, not a kids show so please limit the annoying child patients or at least make them interesting like we've seen is possible in the past. I was also under the impression Webber's sponsor died a long time ago. Guess she didn't leave much of an impact and there was certainly never a hint of them having weekly conversations, never mind thrice weekly or on a daily basis for twenty years. Also, he annoyed the crap out of me by refusing to abide by her wishes and "forcing" two doctors on her. Also, huge waste of time to "make" the head of general surgery (right?) and cardio focus solely on this patient who doesn't even want medical help just because he's being an unprofessional douche. Also, didn't care in the slightest for Meredith and Maggie working together or Maggie's scene with Webber. Maggie just annoys me. Never warmed to her and things only got worse when she behaved awfully when her mother was sick and then the whole Webber and now Jackson thing. Ugh. Meredith's research is mildly interesting. I just don't get the huge focus on the polymere and then suddenly they don't need one anymore. Also, I can't take it seriously when the show thinks any MD can do scientific research *and* that all these residents and attendings have time to spend all day with their pet projects. I was actually kinda hoping Meredith's research wouldn't come to fruition but just to stick to her "aunt" whose name I've forgotten, she would have published her theory anyway and thereby made it possible for everyone in the scientific community to do their own research with a different polymere or to create a polymere to make the procedure work. ETA: Also, ugh on the Jackson with April talk and April going around apologizing for everything she did while supposedly blind drunk (great memory recall). Oh and I wasn't touched by the fake cancer story plot at all. I was wondering why Arizona suddenly got emotional because it was pretty obvious to me this doctor (if he's even one) was faking diagnoses so of course the man would have a fake ultrasound. His machine probably didn't even work and just showed one good recording and one cancer recording. So obvious. Also, I much prefer the fake cancer storyline in The Resident, so maybe that's why I didn't care. Also, so over useless Arizona. Why doesn't she go back to doing the fetal surgeries her mentor taught her while dying? That was supposed to be a big thing. And Owen. Man, so over that guy. Have been for ages but I really don't need another angry cave man. Alex' awful violent behavior is bad enough.
