Regarding the dialogue tease from Felicity - that she can't think of a world, a universe or a plane of existence where Oliver would agree to any of that - I guess he comes back and proves her wrong (agreeing to working with Malcolm or anything else she argued against) thus forcing her to go Mad As Hell and call it quits.

It does have a Robocop feel to it - plus the atom symbol reminds me of Doctor Manhattan from Watchmen. As for his powers - shrinking, with all due respect, is a lame power. Difficult to show attractively without a large budget, which they don't have. Shooting stuff with light beams is also kind of... i don't know. But since the EP' love their toys, I guess we're bound to have an Arrow vs ATOM episode. With a tie.

Very Under the Dome. The series is terrible, the book was awesome. If Plec does her usual thing, this series will probably follow the CBS's terrible summer show.

And we know from s1 that Laurel cannot cook to save her life. So there's that.

Actually, I want Felicity to say that she loves both Oliver and the Arrow, that to her they are not seperate entities, but a unity. (but that's for the sweeps, I guess) I fully agree with Kismet on the Nikita relationship - up till this day it's one of my favourite tv relationships: there was no love triangle (some may argue, but I believe both characters never had another love in mind, just obligation and friendship), there was mutual respect and there was a lot of chemistry. Plus funny banter. And great stunts. I need the Arrow writers to sit down, watch the whole Nikita and take notes. (hey, there's even a baby storyline. Not badly done, in the long run).

Perhaps Ra's can also drop at the wedding reception - in his vintage orient-inspired cloak, he'd make a killing impression! Hey, he can be Laurel's +1. (I hope Laurel is not Oliver's +1) We do not expect the wedding to go smoothly, do we? I wish my best to the Diggles, but I kind of hope there's some mishap at the reception, like maybe a little terrorist attack, or something. Just before the cake, but after the bouquet tossing. I will be very dissapointed if the wedding goes by uneventfull.

Bonus points if she's chewing on a red pen while doing this.

Once again, we're probably giving the writers too much credit and Felicity's hairstyle is just coincidence - just like the colors she's wearing.

Actually, I'm holding out hope for someone on Flash, preferably Barry, to address Felicity's relationship with Ray (if it becomes romantic) and compare it to the one she had with Oliver. I want this to become a turning point for her, the moment she realizes that Ray is the logical choice, but that her heart is not in it. Too bad it could happen on Flash, not Arrow, but I'll take whatever I can at this point. And knowing that Felicity's conversation with Mama Smoak may address her feelings... I'm hoping for some revelations. On a different note - Sin's too smart for this show.

If Guggentroll says a Laurivel scene is good, I kind of expect a 3 (on a 1-10 scale). He didn't say 'epic'. Epic would be 5. Anyhow, I'm kind of tired of Guggenheim's tumblr activities - they bring turmoil but little substance. It also shows he's tired of the fans and their zeal. He should have known better - the fans online are pushy and demanding, they don't want to be ignored. Some of Giggenheim's answers show he's had enough of certain behaviour - I kind of understand him, but he's an experienced writer and a person who should not get fed up with fan reactions. Side note: Raylicity and Laurivel combined make me switch off the tv, especially if the original Team Arrow scenes are '-ish'.

I've been watching Hart of Dixie and it occured to me - if they ever want to do an episode with teenage Felicity, they should jus take the actress who plays Rose there: McKaley Miller is the name and her antics remind me so much of Felicity. Plus, she has dark blonde haie (dark ash) so - present day Felicity would really dye her hair.

Yes, the shot back to Merlyn in the sneak peak looked cool. Like a 'wham' line in a shocking short story. (and not a good one, but aimed at the *shock* value. Yes, Felicity should know better and check the system for malware) But - how long has this been going on? Has Merlyn been seeing the Team Arrow shenanigans for the past season? I can actually imagine him in his best velvet robe, sipping red wine and eating... whatever spoiled rich assasins munch these days... and watching the Team Arrow Show late at night: "Awww, she bought you a fern, Oliver!" "No, Oliver, kiss the girl already!" "Damn it, you let the Boomerang guy in the Foundry?" "Oh for crying out loud, why is the Lance girl taking her... Ooooh. Ok, turn for the camera, turn for the camera..." Let's face it, Merlyn has been watching the same show we had, albeit in a Camera Café format. And I bet he's been thrilled at some points and disappointed at the others.

I woke up this morning thinking - yup, we're here, analyzing characters' behaviour, trying to justify the illogical decisions they make the best we can... ...meanwhile the writers just think "Hey, it looks cool, let's do this!" This the main reason we may get the Oliver/Felicity 'breakup' scene is that it's a cool scene. No internal logic - or very little of it - required.

So it could be a flashback to Mama Smoak with baby Felicity in the hospital ;] Nah.
-
Like - she'll be brainwashed. AGAIN.

You know, once in a while I get this crazy idea in my head that since the writers are so impressed with Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy, they will eventually rewrite that story into their own and have: Batman = Oliver Rachel = Felicity Catwoman = Laurel Two-Face = Ray And we know how Rachel ended up. But then I think positive thoughts and say to myself: "no. these writers are not THAT dumb". Let this not be one of these sturpid theories that end up being true. Praise Jesus indeed. Just in time for the weekend. Now, let's hope something happens during the reception that forces Oliver to take off the jacket.

I'm all for equality, but I don't believe that 'mansplaining' took place. It was just a more experienced - albeit younger - team member trying to pour some wisdom into a less experienced one. Regardless of their gender. What the less experienced person did endangered themselves (and later, endangered a third person and got that person actually killed). The more experienced person is in the right to correct the newbie and even place the newbie on the backburner if the said newbie's actions bring little merit but a lot of trouble to the team. If your co-worker screws up and causes loss to the company, do you let her be, because you're a man and she's a woman and your complains will be directed at her gender? No. Your complains will be directed at her competence, or lack of it. Yes, Laurel's a woman. She's also an inexperienced fighter in a war where you can't survive on sheer luck and good faith. Roy was right that time and I'm disappointed he didn't stick to his guns.

It looks like Jaime is in... Dorne? Strange. (he had been reported to film in sandy locations... well well well...)
-
But the sad thing is - he really thought we are going to love it. Proving yet again that he has no concept of human psychology whatsoever.
-
So maybe it's: "If you're so determined to get yourself killed again, I don't want to be a woman you love!" [mic drop, Felicity exit left]
-
Frankly? I'd be blaming the writers for ruining a great character. Perhaps Felicity gets trashed on the internet, perhaps not - but I believe the writers are right now doing terrible job with her character. It's not like she's the only character being ruined, but as I used to relate to Felicity I feel the difference in her more than in others. In the end it'll all comes down to "I would never have done that in her place" notion. But yes, I'm waiting for 3.12 to see.
-
Isn't 3.12 the episode in which we see how Malcolm became the cold-hearted, back-stabbing person he is today? So maybe whatever Felicity learns about Malcolm and his love for the late Rebecca will influence her reaction to Oliver? If Malcolm became the villain after the woman he loved was killed, maybe - and it's awfully convoluted - Felicity feels she wants to protect Oliver from the same fate? Still, it's a reasoning from a badly written fanfiction. The thing is, I cannot imagine a situation in which a woman in love shuts down a man who literally came back from the dead (having said he love her before dying). Even if he comes back and acts chaotically or stupid, the woman in love would slap him over the thick skull and become his grounding rod and guiding light. If the writers make Felicity be mad at Oliver for dressing as Arrow and saving the city before telling her he's alive, it means they are turning her into Laurel and there's no help but to switch off the tv.
