Oh you know, "screwball", "epic", "starcrossed" - words, words, words. Their meaning can be so elusive.

It's a lovely FB patchwork on SA's page ;) I like how Emily is integrated in the pic, between Flash and Arrow. *sarcasm on* So I guess SA didn't get the memo Emily is not the girl the show is promoting now? *sarcasm off*

And I for Quentin. He has an expiration date written all over him. What is more, his death adds to Laurel's womanpain and crucible, furthers Oliver's mainpain and - let's not forget about it - opens a door to intriduce a younger, sexier police detective! (the last bit is sarcasm, but I'm emulating CW's executives right now). Don't get me wrong, if I want any Lance to die, it's certainly not Quentin. But if i were to chose the deadman walking of the season, I'd pick him. Also - Ra's, killed in the last episode with a sword to the chest and kicked off the cliff. By Oliver. Plus - Malcolm, shot dead by Thea.

Don't worry, the EP's did.

GOD, NO! It's one of my primal fears. The thing is, I hope TPTB are not that stupid, but then again... Well. If it so happens that we'll be treated to Laurivel 2.0, i'm pretty sure the producing cost of Arrow will rise substantially, because of all the extra takes they would have to make to get a "romantic" scene between Laurel and Oliver right. SA and KC have so little chemistry together it hurts me physically.

If they want to be less teen drama network, with all due respect, they should ease down on the love triangles and dummy love interests (cough *Ray Palmer* cough) and focus on building believable characters - both male and female.
-
No, but I believe they have to do something like that in the future. On a different note, I think David Ramsey is a gem and his remarks were golden, from what I can gather on twitter. I thought I cannot love this man more, and nope - still going stronger.
-
I believe they are bound to have a "Women of Arrow / Flash " panel to even things up in the future. (At some other event) Still I wish they wouldn't have to make up for such an easily avoidable blunder.

I handwaved Oliver's ability to stunt-ride a bike, especially that as a billionaire playboy he probably rode bikes for fun and to impress girls. But I don't think Laurel ever had a chance to ride anything but a car and the only instance we saw her do that was under an influence...

"Hot Scott" got me when he agreed to wait for Violet until she's ready and never pushed her to do anything. And this was the younger character, the one who was supposed to ooze with sex. I was looking at my tv screen shouting "Get him, girl!" and I didn't even LIKED Violet. Another film I saw recently with Stephen was Hallmark's "When Calls the Heart" - unfortunatelly, it didn't follow the book closely, but rather told its story in a chopped manner, interweaving with another story thus diluting the screen presence of the couple I was interested in (the main couple in the book). Stephen was clean shaved in that one (too bad...), but the thought of him in a Stedson (and a Mountie!) makes me want a movie / series where Stephen actually plays a Mountie in the Canadian West in 1815. Stephen in suspenders? You know you want it!

S01.E01: Now Is Not the End / S01.E02: Bridge And Tunnel
Ariah replied to David T. Cole's topic in Agent Carter [V]
Not just you. I don't mind that myself, but right now everything is and it's slowly getting to the point when it's too much. Now, that's why I kind of adore Carter's lighter tone - I mean ok, her love "died" and her roommate was killed and her friend can be branded a traitor... But still, it's lghter in tone than AoS. For me, at least. -
For me it's far from a double standard: I'd be equally furious if Oliver jumped Laurel after professing his love to Felicity (if their living-dead situation was reversed, that is if it was Felicity who is presumed dead or just plain dead-dead, like Rachel Dewes in Dark Knight dead). It's decency and consequence, and it's against a moral code I live by. The same moral code has no problems if a woman choses to broaden her horizons and date around, so there you go.

Oh, Shailene... if only you'd matured that well in real life...

I don't want the ratings to fall ;) But I want a big reaction to this Black Canary the fans are waiting for (apparently). If they're so hyped about it, I wonder if the arc will live up to their expectations. As I couldn't care less for the Canary, I don't feel the hype, but I wonder how those who a) like Laurel and b) want this Canary to happen react to the episodes.

Willa can still have a good storyline - if she becomes a double agent, playing Malcolm for Team Arrow. I'm an overall pessimist, but too much negativity is bad for health :) I'm holding out hope. Besides, David Ramsey said she has important storyline and I believe him.

S01.E01: Now Is Not the End / S01.E02: Bridge And Tunnel

Not exactly. . -
I kind of think most of the doctor shows have crappy relationships. Stephen was in a few episodes of Private Practice, playing a rebound love interest (I know! Amell a rebound? Uncanny!) for Violet. I only watched three episodes and he was a sweetheart, but probably something bad happened later (didn't want to see it). I just can't watch doctor shows.

Don't shot the messenger but... she's the female lead after all. And by 'lead' I don't necessarily mean the chemical element... Although...
-
wouldn't it be fun if it was actually true, but Trollenheim just said otherwise ;) Then again, he would have said "maybe" if that was the case. I'm still baffled how they're promoting the rest of the season as Oliver-less and expect good things. It's beyond my powers of comprehension.

OK, crazy thought: we see in the promo Ray experimenting with his suit and a lot of sparks fly -> what if there is an accident and ray ends up in the ER, which makes Felicity freak out, because - you know - another man in her life (barf) almost died... Hence the two get closer? I wouldn't be shocked with these writers. As felicity's mind finds the worst possible ways to say things, the Arrow writers find the worst possible ways to present plot points and tv tropes :)

The whole situation reminds me of the end of S2, when Oliver wanted to give himself up to Slade and Team Arrow sort of failed to stop him... Until Laurel came and asked them to try again (with a tranqualiser dart and a talk from Laurel in the Foundry). I know, I know - at that time I thought Laurel was just an afterthought, that she happened to stumble into the Foundry AFTER Team Arrow decided to put an end to Oliver's martyrdom escapade. But I guess it was the other way round - the Team decided to tranq Oliver once Laurel talked them into it... (again: that's not the way I viewed the scenes the first time around, it's my interpretation after some of the talk here) So it wouldn't be surprising and it wouldn't be against what has been done in the series before, to have the Team give up but have Laurel still fighting. I'd very much preferred to have the Team go ballistic on Malcolm's fine ass. But that's not going to happen soon.

Well, it's really difficult to say if anyone's projecting sadness from 0,2 sec clip, even if it's been giffed and prolonged, it's still a cut from a larger scene. Having said that, I don't get either epicness or misery from the trailer - apart from this one scene, when the lights go out. But if it's true that Team Arrow goes dark and gets back to work because Laurel dons the buckles and shames them into fighting for their city, I will seriously consider watching American Idol instead. Or any other reality show. Because nothing infuriates me more than making an established character dumb in order to prop a character with zero personality (hey, I've been recently trying to write a fanfiction piece and came to Laurel. I seriously don't know how to write her.)

Sousa is being so nice and well presented, I'm almost certain he'll drop the crutch and be revealed to be a Hydra agent an episode before the finale. Also, I love Jarvis. It must be the accent. Still, would have been a blast if Jarvis was played by Paul Bethany, woulnd't it? Peggy Carter rekindled my desire to wear red lipstick and curl my hair.

Blackthorne was my Harry Dresden. And he was magical (pun intended and I'm not ashamed of myself)

Worst thing Arrow did to Kingston was straightening her hair, actually.
