  1. So many issues with this episode...😖 Why the hell was Nyla answering her phone? I thought maybe Oscar somehow had something to do with the alert because of all the stalling he was doing. How did no one see/hear the handcuffs being taken off? Also, as soon as they showed a close-up of the keys, I knew the prisoners would get a hold of them and get free. Why didn't Wesley shout out a warning when he saw Oscar getting the scissors? The people on the roof were annoying. I agree with the above poster who said that they would have rather seen the other storylines play out instead(counterfeit guy, db, etc.). Me, too. I think I missed a couple, but those are the ones that really stuck out. I am kind of glad that Wesley didn't die(yet, anyway).
  2. First of all, politics aside, people need to quit voting for Sean because he is the worst dancer left on the show, and I don't want another Bobby Bones season. Karamo was irritating with the Beyonce thing. Hannah, Ally, and Lauren just leave me feeling "meh". I want to like Kate, but her mannerisms/facial expressions are becoming annoying. Also, there being absolutely no connection between Little Red Riding Hood and Wicked Game kind of took me out of the dance, plus the dance itself seemed a little...careful. That being said, Pasha is a great addition as a pro. James for the win! I noticed that they didn't have each couple do a solo moment during the team routines as they have in the past, and I kind of missed that. I did like the nod to Beetlejuice during the first team's routine.
  3. Well, I'm later than usual with catching up because, you know, World Series and all(go Astros!), and I'm tired, so... James is still my favorite! I'm surprised that Sean wasn't in the bottom two. Based purely on dancing ability, he is the worst one left and should have been gone tonight. I also like Kate, Kel, and Karamo, but Kate's facial expressions and hands need work. Don't really care one way or another for the rest. <shrug> Whoever sang Somebody to Love absolutely butchered it! 😡 Christie was conspicuosly missing tonight...
  4. IIRC, Bruno has fallen out/off of his chair at least once.
  5. Props to those who guessed Paul Schaffer-I thought it was Martin Short until he sang tonight, then I knew I was wrong. I still think the Black Widow is Raven, and that Thingamajig is someone who plays(or played for) Orlando Magic. Others have said Victor something(sorry, can't recall his last name right now), so... I don't think Leopard is Seal, but who knows? I'm going to go with Mel B. being Butterfly and Adrienne Bailon being Flamingo because it makes sense to me, but again could be totally wrong. Well then dang, maybe it IS Seal...
  6. I liked the opening dance number. I don't like Erin's dress. Sailor/Val-Nice dance, I just don't really care about her. Karamo/Jenna-I appreciate his enthusiasm and this was a fun dance, but it looked out of sync in a couple of places. As far as his backstory goes, though, I've got to ask-what happened to/with his son's mom that he immediately got sole custody upon learning that he had a child, plus her other son(and what about the other son's bio-dad)? Kate/Pasha-That was...different. There were parts that I liked, but overall I feel like she's going the wrong direction dance-wise, and that kind of makes me sad. I knew the rolling chairs were a bad idea. Aw, doggies! Sean/Lindsay-Is this the new version of the song? Don't like it. This was his best dance so far. He seems to be loosening up and enjoying himself more. Ally/Sasha-I don't think this song was a good choice to do a contemporary dance to, and she was jerky in her movements. I don't understand the tongue bath she got from the judges on this one, and it definitely didn't deserve 9s. Holy crap, the song from Frozen 2 is horrible! Lauren/Gleb-I really wish they would use the original recordings of the songs. I didn't care much for the dance itself, either(no Samba rolls?). I thought this one was over-scored as well. Btw, Lauren, frippery IS a word. Kel/Witney-Yay, finally a dance that I enjoyed tonight! That was entertaining, I hope he sticks around for a while. I like his personality, too. Hannah/Alan-Damn, yet another crap version of the song. Was she supposed to look like Jasmine? If so, major costuming fail! The dance itself was ok, if a little rough in spots. James/Emma-As soon as I saw him in costume earlier, I thought"ugh, not another POC Paso!" That being said, wow! That was really good! Plus, if Ally got all 9s for her dance, James should have at least got the same, imo. I usaually really like Tom, but his constantly interrupting Len tonight was getting on my nerves. The way the judges are fawning over Ally, I sincerely hope that she and James don't ever end up in the bottom two together. My favorites tonight were James and Kel. I still like Kate as a dark horse, but we'll see what happens next week...
  7. I have to admit that I'm not familiar with Paul. I should probably look up some of his stuff.
  8. Interesting, but would he have the time to be on the show? The Fox is Wayne Brady, the Flower is Patti Labelle, and I'm pretty sure the Skeleton is Martin Short.
  9. Well, I didn't much care for this episode. I hate what they're doing with Greg Germann's character, Qaadri was over-the-top irritating, and how could the sisters not tell that that wasn't their sister? On the plus side, I liked the old couple's storyline. I'm thinking that Caterina Scorsone(sp?) is pregnant IRL. I am happy that Meredith wasn't allowed to perform the surgery. If you do the crime, do the time. Jackson and Vic have way more chemistry than he and Maggie ever had, which was none, but that's beside the point... I feel like they are setting Richard up to either A: start drinking again, or B: have an affair. I hope I'm wrong. Jo telling Qaadri to "shut up or get out" was awesome. Plus, did Qaadri really think that she could be that insubordinate to Bailey without repercussions? I can't emphasize enough how much I hate what they' re doing with him right now!😡
  10. Well, my guesses about the Eagle were completely wrong, but I knew that as soon as he started singing, so... When the Flower started singing, I kind of got a Tina Turner vibe, but with her health issues I'm pretty sure it's not her. Also, I'm not sure I was listening to the same thing the judges were-I thought her singing was ok, but not as great as they were making it out to be. As soon as the Fox started singing I thought "that's Wayne Brady", but the Doogie Howser reference is confusing me. The Penguin was fun, and is likely a comedienne I'm right there with you!
  11. And Lamar goes home, which is no surprise, and how it should be.
  12. Just catching up, so please bear with me...(paused before results) Inro fluff was silly and just...fluff. Kind of missed having an intro dance. Sean/Lindsay-Well, at least he's trying, and I respect that. His facial (non)expressions were throwing me off on this one(did he even breathe at all during the dance?), but I still think that this was probably his best dance so far. That isn't saying much, but at least he is showing improvement. Ally/Sasha-I like that they included the Tina Turner moves, and it wasn't bad, but it seemed like she lost some steam in the middle. Apparently, though, she's a judges' favorite... Kel/Witney-I liked this one-he danced it well, he had great energy, he was having fun, and it made me smile. I'm still surprised that he was in the bottom two last week. Damn it, Leah, not the time to open your mouth, Len was about to tell him something positive! I'm with you on that one, Tom, I didn't realize that Kel was old enough to have a 20 year old, either. He certainly doesn't look it. Kate/Pasha-Not as good as her dance last week, but I really like her personality and attitude. I hope she stays for a while. Len nailed it. I hate when he gets booed for telling the truth. Leah is being obnoxious(no surprise), and Len is quite rightly annoyed with her. James/Emma-Even though they seemed to be a little out of synch in the beginning, I thought this was a really good dance and he is still my front-runner to win. Hannah/Alan-She still couldn't hide the smile, and that was a weird song for a Paso. I guess she danced it well, but I'm just not feeling it. Lamar in the background has been looking so disinterested/disassociated with any and everything going on around him all night. Lamar/Peta-Same as Sean-probably his best dance so far. Again, that's not saying much, and in this case it still wasn't good. Once more, Leah, shut up. Len and Bruno's scores were appropriate for the dance. Sailor/Val-I liked it. It was fun, entertaining, and she did a good job dancing it. Lauren/Gleb-Wow, that was surprisingly nicely done! Karamo/Jenna-Ok, I love his enthusiasm at the end. I guess it seemed competent enough, but I was just "meh" about the dance itself. Maybe I'm just tired and need to re-watch it later<shrug>. I am happy he got a better score from Len, he did deserve that much. Thank you, Bruno! I have to feel bad for Len when he is trying to give good critique and gets booed or talked over.
  13. Oh, my<fans self>. This may be shallow, but can we get this version of Gleb? He doesn't seem as smarmy, and when he talks in another language...
  14. Well, I inadvertently got spoiled as to which character got the boot, but not who it was, so at least I was kind of surprised at the reveal, even though I knew it would be a fighter from the "clues". My main takeaways from this show are that both Leopard and Ken are annoying.
  15. I keep seeing mentions of Star Wars stuff, but I watch it on Hulu and didn't see any SW stuff. Somebody fill me in on what I missed, please? Totally agree with this!
  16. Sorry, but I have to say that he's not worse than Master P., Lamar, or Bobby Bones(just to name a few)
  17. Ok, posting my thoughts before I see the results... First of all, theme night already? Alrighty, then. Am I the only one who had trouble figuring out who all the dancers were in the opening number? Who was the girl they lifted up? I'm so used to hearing Tom say "choreographed by Mandy Moore" that it threw me off when he said someone else's name. Does Mandy no longer choreograph for the show? On to the dances... Lauren-She said "It's scary to go first", and her nerves showed. I wasn't very impressed, plus I'm not sure that Pretty Woman is a good song to tango to. The show should do a better job of matching songs to dance styles, which is not a new complaint. Hannah-Oh, Alan, why?! The Bachelorette party thing was embarrasing! The dance definitely needed more hip action. Karamo-He was having fun, and it was a fun dance, but he missed some steps and also was "steppy" in places. I lol'ed at Len's hickey comment. Ally-I guess I have my cranky pants on tonight, because I wasn't feeling this one <shrug>. I don't agree with the 8s, all 7s would have been acceptable. I felt bad for Mary, seeing her sitting there behind Ray. Too bad they couldn't have brought her back after Ray pulled out, but she probably wouldn't have lasted long anyway, so... On a shallow note, I love Rashad, but his hair is horrible(as were his pants)! James-Well, damn, this song annoys the hell out of me-I can't change the station fast enough when it comes on the radio. That being said...Holy hell, that was one sexy dance!<fans myself>. I really hope he goes far in/wins this season. If Len gave Ally an 8, James deserved the same, IMO. Kate-I like her. I've never watched The Office, so I know nothing about her, but I really like her attitude and commitment. She might be the dark horse this year. As far as the dance goes, I enjoyed it, but at times there was too much space between them in hold. I am impressed with Pasha as a pro so far. Lamar-Oh, my. If there's still an elimination tonight, I hope he's it. If people are actually playing a drinking game to the confetti cannon tonight, they're already drunk, with 3 dances left to go. OT, if they ever did a "Dancing with Everyday People" I would love to try out for it 🙂 Also, I'm calling it now that Jonathan Scott will be a contestant next season. Sailor-I'm on board with everyone else now-enough of Christie. While what happened to her sucks, she is no longer the one on the show. The dance itself was good, and props to her for stepping in, but I'm ready to see the last of her to get rid of the drama. Sorry, but another OT-Is Erin wearing Carrie-Ann's earrings from last week? Kel-I hate when you can't see the feet because of the fog. I guess he was trying to look serious, but to me he just looked angry, which kind of took me out of it a little bit. Plus, his stance was weird in places. OMG, so many asides tonight! One, the lady with the green lipstick is creeping me out. Two, why is Rashad upstairs but not Cheryl? Three, why is Lamar having so much trouble unwrapping a cough drop? Oops, sorry, got off track... Sean-Not that good, but it had its moments, and was surprisingly entertaining. Were they originally going to do a double elimination tonight? Otherwise, I'm surprised they didn't just call everyone safe after Ray pulled out. Or are they going to change what would have been a future double elimination to a single elimination? I guess I'll go watch the rest of the show now And, they called everyone safe at the last minute. I was kind of surprised that Kel was in the bottom two.
  18. Well, then, nevermind, but would he do two reality shows back-to-back like that?
