  1. Matt was turning himself in because Jasper was coming forward to expose Fisk, which would conceivably damage Fisk's claims about Matt. With Jasper dead, Matt turning himself in would possibly just lead to him being taken into custody for an extended period of time and Fisk still operating freely.
  2. That doesn't really explain it, that means there was a sitting grand jury that Fisk had no idea he was going to be considering an indictment of him, but he already had someone seated in that jury with information on all the other jurors, prepared to threaten them. The implication is that he must perpetually keep every grand jury that's seated compromised in such a fashion, whether he has reason to believe he will be indicted or not.
  3. Same reason Luke Cage got experimental procedures done in prison. Guinea pigs who won't have much recourse if the procedure goes wrong.
  4. To be fair, as rough as Miller was on Karen(I'm also glad the show didn't go that far), he didn't kill her. Kevin Smith did. And I doubt he was coming from a position of judgement about sex and drugs, that's definitely not his style. I'm pretty sure he's said he just didn't know what to do with her.
  5. The police/FBI didn't suspect Matt of being Daredevil or attacking anyone, there was no reason to clear his name of that. He was turning himself in for questioning because Fisk had id'd Matt Murdock as a corrupt lawyer.
  6. Yeah, pretty sure it was the "cleaners" that we saw several times and who killed Julie. That was their punishment for failing to kill Nadeem, Felix told Fisk they had been "delt with" for their failure.
  7. I just read somewhere that they 3, 5, and 11 minutes, respectively. Like them all, but I would say the first is still my favorite, and this one probably my least. Partially because it was tough watching a still rebuilding and drugged Matt struggle through the battle, but also there are a few instances where prison guards were getting shivs stuck in their necks right in front of him, and it was weird watching Matt ignore that in his effort to escape. I know he was off his game and lucky to escape alive, but that just felt off to me.
  8. Karen's brother actually gets mentioned multiple times in season two, including a quick shot of a newspaper article about him dying in a car accident when Karen looks at the file Ben had compiled on her.
  9. Yeah, that was a little bothersome. "I've met Daredevil. I've seen him up close and personal. He saved my life twice. He's spoken to me. THIS WAS CLEARLY NOT THE SAME GUY."
  10. It wasn't clear, but he had some superficial injuries so I assumed his vehicle was flipped in the explosion and he was momentarily trapped or unconscious.
  11. You could assume there is some overlap since it hasn't been that long since the Midland Circle collapse, I think they use the term "months" but never specify how many, but in general they seem to be going consecutively. This would have to be post Punisher, obviously, and Iron Fist definitely followed Luke Cage In the grander MCU, all of the shows still take place before "the snap", according to the showrunner.
  12. Another bit retconning, w/ Foggy's family. His mother may have wanted him to become a butcher, but that wasn't the family business. His father owned a hardware store. Liked his family, but that business about his mother still wanting him to give up the law and come help at the butcher shop was really stupid. They seem to like Marcy, so I had too lol at the idea she would stay w/ Foggy of he became a butcher. Sister Maggie is awesome.
  13. Yeah, I was right there w/ you. Especially w/ all the talk about Karen not believing she could redeem herself, I was worried that she would die sacrificing herself for someone. I literally held my breath when Dex threw that club at her, I hadn't even considered the idea of Fr. Lantom sacrificing himself(and "redeeming" himself for his deception of Matt).
  14. It makes them targets for bribery and payoffs. (And the higher up they go, the bigger a target they become) Government officials can be denied security clearances for having those types of financial difficulties.
  15. Wow. That was awesome. And that final shot...
  16. Love that they brought Skylar in for a callback as young Matt. Watching him on Ozark always made me hope for one. That said, having just re-watched previous seasons, the history with Fr. Lantom feels retconned. In season one, there was really no hint of a prior relationship of the type that was shown.
  17. Fisk hires a homicidal Daredevil impersonator in "Born Again", and Bullseye has also impersonated him in the comics. It's an amalgamation of those stories more than a nod to Danny Rand filling in for him.
  18. I haven't read through all the pages of responses to this episode, so I don't know if this had been shared yet, but these two were the inspiration for Paige and Henry. There's definitely some different circumstances(different era, their parents did nothing comparable to the crimes of Philip and Elizabeth, the Jennings escaped as opposed to being arrested and traded, Canadian citizenship laws are not the same as U.S., etc.), but I think it's clear that neither Henry nor certainly Paige can just move ahead with any type of normal life in the U.S. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/may/07/discovered-our-parents-were-russian-spies-tim-alex-foley
  19. Yeah, that house is not going to belong to Paige or Henry. The house, cars, any money in the bank, everything will be seized by the FBI.
  20. Danny is like the most desperate only child ever. He believes claims Davos as a brother, he thinks of Joy and Ward as siblings. None of them appear to return the sentiment. It's kinda sad.
  21. "Is this not a date because you want to ease into the girl thing or is this not a date because you're still hung up on Patty? " Um, how about it's not a date because I'm in high school and you're like 30 yrs old?
  22. Huh? What are you basing that on? If anything, she seems to be going for an over-the-top caricature, like everyone else on this show. Also, a bit of decent joke casting, considering Patty's Amy Fischer/Drew Barrymore fantasizing, by putting the other Amy Fischer actress in the Mary Jo Buttafuoco role.
  23. That really would have made more sense, or at least that he would die from over dosing on the blood thinners. It's been established the blood thinners kill the worms, so how they survived in his body makes no sense.
  24. Yes, despite the fact that I generally follow the thinking that if you do not see someone die on tv, they did not die, I immediately chalked that up to the excessive gore factor. This isn't The Walking Dead, his head would have basically exploded. By the some token, we didn't actually "see" Levon's or Chase's heads being crushed.
  25. That's one hell of an assumption to make. Considering that no heartbeat is a pretty reliable indicator that someone is dead, and that obviously isn't the case w/ Butch, assuming that any of his body works within normal parameters is silly. Did Tabitha even know he didn't have a heartbeat at that point, anyway? Besides, Tabby seems to be fine with living without that, and Butch could get the job done with other options.
