  1. On this note, I am curious, how many of you out there use chipsticks when you get Chinese takeout or go to a restaurant? It comes up several times in this season, and it seems to be prevalent on screen in general. But literally no one I know/have ever eaten with in real life uses them. I'd be hard pressed to recall even seeing any other diners using them in a restaurant, I'm sure I have but it is definitely a rarity.
  2. They really push the extreme of nerdish, early/mid 80's clothing and hair to the point the boys are almost caricatures. I was about the same age, i can't imagine many of us would have had our shirts tucked in, much less so tightly it looked like they were sewn into our pants with a waist that went up to our naval. And don't get me started on running around in full summer camp uniform...
  3. I don't think it's necessarily judgement, it just seems out of the blue. We saw her through junior and senior years of high school and freshmen year of college never knowingly using drugs or even drinking if I recall(she drank in flashbacks to her sophomore year). She had a maybe a drink or two at the reunion. I'm not judging whether it's good or bad, it's just surprising.
  4. His mom left him some money, but didn't have a ton solely in her name(I want to say it was like 150k?), but Logan's finances never really made much sense. He was running through money at a rate that would clean him out by 21, and... he was living in the penthouse of the best hotel in town? He could probably rent a high end apartment for 1/10th the cost(I get it, the Neptune Grand offered a lot more story possibilities as a location than "Logan's random off-campus apartment"). We might have to take into account Dick has a distorted view of what constitutes poor, and possibly Logan has tucked away whatever inheritance he has left for the future(that's why we hear Veronica concerned with things like rent).
  5. That wasn't Liam Fitzpatrick, it was just a random person doing some four-wheeling out in the desert.
  6. They weren't intending to make a fake video, they were just shockingly sloppy with this murder and didn't check closely enough to see that one of the brothers survived after being shot at least twice in the torso.
  7. Wrestling season runs basically December to early March, I'm gonna guess they are building a gazebo over summer break, when time and weather are more permitting. I think the kicker isn't just the hair, but the combination of the hair and that he was so heavily involved in building the gazebo, to the point of continuing to work on it by himself when everyone else had called it a day.
  8. Madison? Are you thinking of Parker, when Logan was getting the wedding license?
  9. Great casting getting President Roslynn, Mary McDonnell as Logan's therapist. Just rewatched seasons 1-3 and had forgotten how many Battlestar Gallactica references there were. Even the "cuss" gag isn't totally new, they adopted "frack" from BSG and used it quite a bit.
  10. Nah, definitely not weed. Nicole offers them all some "e", and Dick responds that he's already been rolling for 72 hours.
  11. Actually, w/ all the talk of a twist I've seen in reviews, that has been kind of my long shot guess, a different, unforseen resolution to the Lily murder(not weevil, though). That's basically what they did w/ Veronica's rape, which appeared resolved in season one, and was then upended in the finally of season two.I I hope that's not the case, i don't think I would really like it, but it's possible and not totally unprecedented on this show.
  12. Lol, I just did a rewatch and the tapes didn't even pop in my head! I can't recall if the exchange was in person or not, but yeah, Logan knows who Leo is.
  13. "I'm Leo, I'm a friend of Veronica's" "Yeah, you arrested me for murder" Logan has changed, he would have never have missed this chance at a quip(or completely forgotten Leo, he spent enough time at the sheriff's office), as he was clearly trying to make him uncomfortable.
  14. Love it so far, but the trip to the club took a turn that seemed pretty random and out of character for Veronica((and for Logan, too, considering what we have seen of his current life and what he does). Maybe it will come into play later, but just adding a scene of Veronica readily accepting drugs from a person she just met and partaking in an ecstasy fueled night of partying with spring breakers just left me thinking... huh?
  15. Veronica wanting a pony as a girl was always frequently referenced, I'd assume it's just a play on that.
  16. I had the subtitles on too, so I checked imdb and that is Corny. I can't imagine anyone catching that w/o the subtitles.
  17. Getting pretty excited to watch this, I've seen at least a dozen reviews and they are overwhelmingly positive. One negative one, one or two that were mixed(but leaning towards positive), but the rest were very pleased. https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2019/07/18/veronica-mars-hulu-season-4-best-modern-tv-revival-kristen-bell/1755295001/
  18. Just no on Liv trying to detox her father and moving him in after knowing him for about 48 hours. That just makes her look stupid, not compassionate.
  19. Yeah, as soon as the father mentioned mom was a former patent contestant, I thought it was pretty obvious it was gonna be a case of her sabotaging another contestant gone wrong.
  20. I don't have a problem w/ Trish's training, we saw in season one she had been training to fight for years, and pretty obsessively. Throwing some enhanced abilities on top of that should make her pretty formidable, with an even greater focus on training those over the past year. How much has Jessica ever trained? For that matter, how much time did she spend leaning how to be a P.I.? That's never really been explained how she developed those skills, I don't see her doing an apprenticeship under anyone, just diving in and learning along the way. It's not like Spider-Man ever spends years of training in the MCU, or any of his iterations. Now, Jessica and Spidey possess abilities that are a significantly greater than what Trish has, but i don't think the is much reason for her to train for longer, at some point she's gonna have to to dive in and learn on the job. That said, her suggestion that she's unstoppable is just stupid, considering her power set is pretty low level. I think the exhilaration she is experiencing with her newfound abilities is clouding her judgement and inhibiting her sense of caution.
  21. In having a lot of trouble with the full court press the police and Hogarth are putting on Trish. This is a city with vigilantes, they are not new. Daredevil had been operating for years now, and the police are not going after him with any gusto, and he's done 10x anything Trish has done. Luke Cage is out in the open and no ones going after him. That's not even factoring in the idea that this is still theoretically part of the MCU, Spider-Man is operating in New York, and powered people have saved the world multiple times. The idea she would get sent to the Raft is just senseless.
  22. Yeah, she's a horrible person. If she survives the season, i will be disappointed.
  23. Kristen Ritter directed this episode, I suspect freeing her up from from her on-camera duties was also a factor.
  24. Can we include Anne in that category? Seems she would fit in that category if Kate does, even more so since she was around since season 2 of Buffy.
  25. I don't believe that's entirely accurate. According to Gaiman, he fully planned to offer Sheen the part of Aziraphale but was worried that he would be more interested in the Crowley role(which is consistent with Sheen's comment that Gaiman assumed he would want to play the demon). They both went into the meeting believing they would have to talk the other out of Sheen playing Crowley.
