  1. So I'm going to need to see pictures of Sarah's ex-boyfriends because she said when it came to men, she preferred dark to light but while her husband has dark hair and a somewhat olive complexion, in no world would I describe him as "dark". So was she only referring to hair color or is her husband lighter than she usually went for?
  2. This was one of the few Bachelor seasons I watched and I called that Jason should pick Molly when they showed him on some radio show and the DJ asked who the best kisser was and he said "Molly". That's a big tell right there. Also thought the same thing during Rachel Lindsey's season when she let her now husband kiss the heck out of her on the first night. I thought, "She must really be feelin' that guy if she let him do all that after knowing him for five minutes. He'll probably win." Also, the entire concept of the Fantasy Suites icks me out. I cannot for the life of me imagine sleeping with someone knowing that he had either just come from or was on his way to sleeping with someone else.
  3. That's my point though. Why didn't she believe him? I get as a kid not believing him but as an adult? It had never occurred to her that people can cut their foot and get an infection? She'd never heard of gangrene? She'd never seen a picture of someone with a foot infection? It's common sense and common knowledge, so the fact that she had to ask a doctor about it (in her thirties, no less) is beyond me.
  4. Okay, I'm really not trying to pick on Sunny but she keeps on saying the most random things. Yes, you can get an infection in your foot...if you get a cut on it. Just like you can get an infection from a cut anywhere on your body. That's why, if you get a cut, you wash it and put a band aid on. Just walking around barefoot will not lead to a foot infection, but that is why people tend to not walk around barefoot on surfaces that could cut their feet (ie, rocks, wood chips, a barn with rusty nails lying around...). I mean, I'm assuming she walks around barefoot on the beach and if she cut her foot on a shell, she'd treat it. Don't know why she'd need to consult her doctor husband about it.
  5. I think when Sunny was new to the show, she was on her best behavior and as she's gotten more comfortable, more of her real personality has come out. And to your second point, I do think because Meghan was so volatile and loud, it caused everyone else on the panel to tone it down and be a lot more measured with their responses, just because she sucked a lot of the air out of the room. Now that Meghan's gone, there's a lot more room for everyone else's crazy.
  6. I used to like Sunny but she's become a whole mess of contradictions. A couple weeks ago, she was saying that she wanted more kids, but Manny said "no more" after they had two. Then earlier this week, when discussing the "perfect number" of kids, Sunny says that she only had two because she didn't want to be outnumbered. So which one is it? Then (also last week or the week before) she says that she preaches abstinence to her kids but when Yvonne Orji says she's a virgin in her 30s, Sunny doesn't seem to believe her and questions whether or not she's a "technical virgin". Then she says that she doesn't want her kids getting married until they're 30. So, she wants her kids to be abstinent until they're 30 but doesn't believe someone when they claim to be just that? Okay then....
  7. I think this depends on your social circle. I'm a millennial and the majority of people I know (within the same age range) have kids and own homes. Everyone I know who doesn't have kids just didn't want them. It had nothing to do with finances. Not having say, six kids could have come down to finances but again, most have 2-3 kids. Same with home ownership. I know a few people who rent but that's due to life choices (living in an expensive area, choosing to stay in a lower paying job, etc), not because it was unattainable. And they really should differentiate between Millennials and Gen Z. Millennials are 27-42, while Gen Z is 11-26. So yes, right now there are a large number of Gen Z living with their parents because the majority (even the adult ones) are still at a stage of life where they're either in school or just starting out. Also, the pandemic set people back, especially if you were just starting college or a career. One thing no one ever brings up in these discussions is how there's a good number of Baby Boomers who have a hard time passing the torch (looking at you, Congress) or letting their kids grow through failure. Everyone I know who's in a failure to launch situation (or whose parents still pay a lot of their bills), have parents who keep stepping in and "rescuing" their adult children, instead of letting them tough it out for a few years or learn from their mistakes. It's like there's a generational savior complex going on and I'm not sure why. Maybe because the WWII generation was hard on them so they swung hard the opposite way and over help?
  8. Watching the 20/20 episode right now and after the cultists showed up with the baby (supposedly one of them was the birth mom), the adoptive parents contacted a lawyer who handled the adoption. So it was basically a private adoption and a notice was put in the paper announcing that there was going to be an adoption hearing for an abandoned baby. Also, it was the 80s, not the 70s (though 1981, so almost the 70s. Just bigger hair. LOL)
  9. I found that story rather confusing. When the cult ladies showed up with the baby, weren't the authorities called? I mean, if someone randomly just showed up at my door and handed me a baby, I'd be calling the police. Maybe it was treated as an abandoned baby case and the adopted dad was given temporary custody until the adoption went through? And was Holly given away before her parents were killed or after? And is this cult still going on? They didn't really go into any details. Guess I'll have to watch the 20/20 episode if I want to know more (Could also read the book...but I don't feel like it).
  10. That conversation about the nipple bra was giving Emperor's New Clothes vibes. I felt like I was watching an SNL sketch, with them fawning over this ridiculous idea. It's a dumb idea and I can't believe that no one said just how dumb it was!
  11. That was the weirdest discussion about abortion that I've ever seen. No one was making any sense and everyone seemed to be talking about something different. As for what they were supposed to be discussing, yeah, I think most people would say that if you're in a committed relationship and accidentally get pregnant, that the couple should discuss what to do but ultimately, it's the woman's choice since she's the one that has to carry the baby and, if we're being real, there are dudes out there who will say they want the baby, but then disappear once the baby is born. And while accidents do happen, if you're not married, you need to be using both a condom and some kind of female birth control because while both of those have a possibility of failing, the odds of both of them failing during the same encounter aren't high. And I don't know why people are coming for Justin because while I think he's probably a jerk overall, he was right that neither he nor Britney needed to be parents at 19. There. Was able to cover both abortion and Britney without brining up masturbation or how many kids married folks agree to have (which were both so off topic, it was laughable).
  12. Yes, I guess my public education served me better than Sunny's private one because we learned about the troubles in the Middle East when I was in high school (and I'm fifteen years younger than Sunny, so it was certainly within her lifetime). Honestly, I feel that Sunny's one of those people that doesn't see nuance. Everything's very black and white to her and she needs to have a "side" to be on, so in a case such as Israel/Palestine, she's not sure what to do.
  13. This is what I was wondering. I'm hoping that her daughter is middle aged and that this wedding is her second and taking place at a courthouse. If her daughter is only in her mid-thirties and this is her first marriage and it's the fancy ceremony with the big reception, then that's pretty f-ed up of Sondra (Sandra?) to miss it.
  14. I don't know, something about Lydia makes me think that she's going to want a baby pretty soon, so if she gets pregnant, I could see them doing a special around that. Otherwise, yeah, I don't even know what they'd show.
  15. I think "Ava Maria" was played at some point during my wedding prior to me walking down the aisle. When some of the wedding party were walking out or something. We had a harpist and she gave us a list of songs to choose from and while I don't remember exactly what we picked, I do remember that "Ava Maria" was on the list. So I guess it's a somewhat common choice?
  16. I hated everyone's dress expect for Taylor's. Johnie's was okay, very beauty pageant but at least she wasn't in danger of flashing the audience, unlike the rest of the women. Lydia's dress from the side was insane and Stacy's dress kept seeming to hike higher and higher as the reunion went on. If I were going on something like this, I would wear a happening jumpsuit or dress pants. No way I'm going to sit through an hour plus worrying about my bits being exposed. And except for Milton, Taylor, Aaliyah and possibly Lydia, everyone just kinda sucked. All the men (save for Milton) were a-holes this season and the women were just sad. I can't even with the fact that both Stacy and Johnie made out with Izzy after the way he treated them. Have some freakin' self respect. Also, why was Tracy putting up with Izzy grabbing her leg multiple times during the reunion? Was this filmed before the last episode aired? Did she not see him say there was a reason she was still single at 33? Then there's Johnie crying over Chris. Please. I have no time for that. I did enjoy several of the faces that people were making while others were talking though, as well as Chris and Johnnie just straight up having their own private conversation while Tracy was speaking. Ugh, this season was just the worst. None of the couples were good and everyone was just overall awful.
  17. Yes! Stacy said that she wanted more time but did want to continue seeing Izzy, which, given that he'd just revealed the night before that he has serious financial problems, is perfectly reasonable. And what does Izzy do? Acts like a complete mitch and starts throwing around insults. Of course he didn't want to give her more time to figure out their relationship. He knew that if she had more time, she'd figure out how awful he is! Does he even have a job? Because his explanation for what he does for a living didn't sound very convincing. Stacy wasn't my favorite but Izzy was a complete tool. Milton and Lydia, guess we'll see. Curious to see how they're doing at the reunion. When they were at the altar and Milton hadn't answered yet, my husband's comment was, "Don't do it, my man. He's too young to recognize all the crazy in those eyes." LOL. Who knows? Maybe Mitton's chillness will even out Lydia's drama? I mean, probably not but we can hope. On to the reunion!
  18. Joy's went off either last year or the season before that. Really, there's no reason for them to have their phones with them at the table. If they're so worried about an emergency happening while they're filming, then have a PA on set with an emergency phone that their families can call. I mute my phone before going into the library, a movie theater, a beauty appointment, etc, so I feel that they can leave their phones in their dressing rooms for one hour a day.
  19. So a few things I'm going to need covered in the reunion: 1) What exactly is Izzy's financial situation? I need details and a timeline (would also like the same for Uche and Lydia's relationship). 2) Do Stacy and Lydia not own any full length tops? I get that crop tops are in right now but does that mean all their tops must be midriff baring? (And while we're on the subject of clothing, I need an explanation for JP's patriotic wardrobe. Is that how he always dresses or did he do that to stand out on the show?)
  20. I've got to admit, I found it hilarious that all the women disliked Uche so much that when he was going on about Lydia, they were all just giving him deadeye stares and when Stacy interrupts his tirade to snap at Johnnie, he just looked flummoxed. Then, when he tried to steer the conversation back to himself, all the women let it be known that they did not like him and were not here for his bs. LOL. Amazing. I thought Izzy's mom really wasn't having it with Stacy until we got to Milton's family, who really weren't having it. Those were some uncomfortable interactions. Not that I can blame them. Every time I watch one of these dating show, I try to imagine how I'd handle it if one of my kids put me in this situation and yeah, I don't imagine I'd be happy. As for Stacy/Izzy and their unified attack on Johnnie... I feel that Izzy's behavior came down to him being drunk. That's the only reason I can come up with for his weird, unnecessary conversations with Lydia and Johnnie. Stacy, on the other hand, seemed to have all her wits about her, so I'm not sure why she was so mad at Johnnie. I get being annoyed that Johnnie started talking crap about her in the pods after Izzy dumped her but Stacy got Izzy in the end, so why is she so upset? Even if Johnnie and her had become friends in the pods, I'm not going to be that upset over a two week friendship ending. The only guess I have is that things weren't going well with Izzy, so she took it out on Johnnie.
  21. Yikes indeed! Honestly, to try and avoid situations like this, they shouldn't be waiting for contestants to come to them, they should actively be checking in once a day to make sure everyone's okay. Especially in Mexico when they expect two people who have just met to share a room (And I'm sure the fact that people have developed feelings for each other makes it more confusing). Guess that explains why they didn't show the other couple who made it to Mexico. This season really is such a mess.
  22. The only guest who looks marginally interesting to me is Arnold Schwarzenegger (who I feel must be doing this interview as some kind of favor to Whoppi).
  23. I'm hoping that the convertible was actually being pulled by another car the entire time because if they put someone in their 70s in a car without headlights and told them to drive on the freeway at night, then the production on this show has lost its mind. I also felt that the wedding dress photo shoot was cruel. The other outfits were all more costumey and fun but a wedding dress has significance. Which I'm sure is what they were counting on but it just seems very ugly and insensitive.
  24. Chevy makes sense to me, with the Steve Martin/Martin Short connection. Even if he turns out not that great, he can't be as bad as Cara Delevingne or Amy Schumer.
  25. I find it so freakin' patronizing when people go on about women doing things like not wearing make up as if they're brave and courageous. I'm 41 years old and most women I've known don't wear makeup all the time. I'm sure there are women who wear it because they have low self-esteem or are self-conscious but I think that most of us just wear it because we like to. I love makeup and depending on how I feel, sometimes I do an entire glam look, sometimes I do a minimal look and sometimes I don't wear any. Pamela Anderson probably didn't wear any makeup because she just didn't feel like it that day, not because she's trying to start an anti-makeup revolution. I swear, people in the entertainment industry think the entire world is LA. And don't even get me started on whatever the heck Sunny is doing to her pubic hair...
