  1. The Warsaw Shore guys were obviously doing the fusion dance from Dragonball Z. Come on, show! Do your research!
  2. Yes! I've been wondering what's up with her wardrobe lately! She's usually pretty demure with her cleavage on the show (well, as demure as one can be with implants that big) but the past few weeks? Almost everything has been low cut. I'm starting to wonder if she and Big Kev are on the rocks and she's advertising the goods in preparation for the single life.
  3. My guess for the unexpected pregnancy is Harris. Seems way more believable than Darlene or Becky. There's also DJ's wife but an unexpected storyline with them would be very underwhelming.
  4. The short answer? He's an ass. Cruz is claiming that O'Rourke is only going by the name Beto as a way to manipulate Hispanic voters. From everything I've read though (I'm in Texas, so there's been a lot of articles/interview/new stories about the two recently), O'Rourke has gone by the nickname since childhood and at no point has he tried to misrepresent his race. It's basically a case of throwing mud and seeing what sticks.
  5. Neither Ted cruz nor Beto O'Rourke changed their names. Ted Cruz's full name is Rafael Edward. His dad's first name is also Rafael so to avoid confusion, he goes by Ted which is a nickname for Edward. Beto O'Rourke's first name is Robert but he goes by Beto, which is a Spanish nickname for Roberto. Since he's from El Paso, which is majority Hispanic, I'm assuming his parents ran into other Betos and thought it'd be a cute nickname for their son. It's no different than Bill Clinton using his nickname instead of going by William. Why they couldn't have said any of this during the show, I don't know.
  6. Just read that this has been cancelled. I am so annoyed with FOX right now and its live-action comedy purge. I was holding out hope that since this didn't get cancelled when The Mick, Last Man on Earth and Brooklyn Nine-Nine did that it was going to be renewed. Oh well. Adios, FOX. You straight up cancelled every show that I watched on your network.
  7. Did FOX just decide to cancel all of its live action comedies? B99, The Mick, Last Man on Earth. New Girl is ending this season anyway. The only two that haven't been cancelled yet are LA to Vegas and Ghosted ( and Ghosted hasn't been on air in months so...). Ugh, this just makes me so depressed.
  8. This just occurred to me. If Dre and Bow do break-up, will he make a powerpoint slideshow of their relationship?
  9. This is how I felt. In a vacuum, the episode itself was really good well done. The writing, the acting, the way it was all shot. If I had never seen this show before and came across this episode, I would be thinking, "Wow, I need to start watching this!" But as an episode of Black-ish? It just doesn't fit. As other posters have pointed out, it felt like an episode of This is Us and while I love This is Us, it's a completely different type of show than Black-ish. If the creator is looking to exercise his drama chops, then he needs to either create another show or make a movie because what he's doing now is really just disrupting the flow of the series.
  10. As bad as I felt for Jared, I laughed so hard at Fiona getting brutally dismantled in front of him and Richard. And I had been really concerned for Fiona at the beginning of the episode too, when they said that her creeper creator ran off with her but that scene was just too funny! Between that and the China stuff, this was definitely my favorite episode of the season so far.
  11. Holly Robinson Peete talked about the same thing during the first season of The Talk. I didn't have children yet, so that totally made me gag. Now that I have kids...it still makes me gag, but I can understand why one would do it. And that interview with Jason Biggs and his wife was a mess! I mean, they're a mess anyway (what with their weird stories of hiring hookers and such) but that interview was just all over the place.
  12. So this has been bugging me since the plot line was introduced. Why don't they just tell Mary Pat that they're involved with some bad people who wouldn't think twice about killing her and her family so she should walk away while she can and forget about the money? I just don't understand why they don't level with her because I feel like that would solve the problem. When she first brought up that they'd gotten her involved in something shady, why didn't they agree and go, "Yeah, we've fallen in with some shady people and if they find out who you are, they're going to murder you so just walk away and keep your mouth shut." Seems to me that would have been easier (and more effective) then what they're doing now.
  13. I'm thinking that this would pretty much have to be the case. When Jane was talking to Rafael on the phone and brought up how Mateo was kidnapped by Rose, Rafael got this look on his face, so I'm assuming that that means that Rose had Michael drugged, then kidnapped him. It'll probably turn out that at some point during the kidnapping he got amnesia (hit his head while trying to escape or the drugs used did something to his brain) so that'll be an entire thing next season. As for who JR shot, I'm guessing...Carl? Maybe Raphael's brother? It had to be someone that Petra would recognize and I can't remember if she ever saw Carl or not. I'm actually excited about Michael coming back. I stopped watching the show about a month ago because I cannot stand Raphael and Jane as a couple and really didn't care for the majority of the plot lines post Michael's death. With Michael back, I'm intrigued enough to give next season a try (or at the very least binge it on Netflix after the fact)
  14. Yes! Jack's comment of "I never said I didn't know biology, just that I'm never going to teach it to you" had my husband and I laughing so hard that we had to pause the show.
  15. Squatty potties are amazing! We have one and besides its intended use, it also works as a step stool for the kids!
  16. Maybe it only works if you're newly dead? Since Tobias killed LaLa, he could have immediately taken him to a lab or whatever, whereas Tori's body was left behind after she got killed, so by the time Tobias could have gotten to her it might have been too late to ressurct her.
  17. Yes! When he first showed up with the dreads, I said, "Is he going to be Static?" Then it turned out that he just had super strength and my husband and I were way disappointed.
  18. This! If Nick doesn't propose in the next episode, I am going to be seriously annoyed.
  19. So apparently the third season is going to be the last. I'm totally bummed because I really enjoy this show. Ray Liotta's awesome and this is the only thing I've ever enjoyed J-Lo in. Season 3 premieres June 17, btw.
  20. In an earlier episode, Jeff stated that Tobias murdered his father and in last night's episode it was revealed that that murder occurred thirty years ago. When Tobias confronted Gambi in his shop, Gambi said that Tobias had been given a serum that stopped him from aging. So if Tobias was given the serum around the same time he murdered Jeff's father (who was investigating some kind of illegal drug experimentation), then Tobias is probably around 60. He could be older though, depending on when he was given the serum.
  21. So did Tobias's father take some of the anti-aging serum too? Because if Tobias is at least 60 years old, then his father should be somewhere around 90 but the actor playing him looked to be in his sixties.
  22. I also thought she was bringing the dude back to life. Lady Eve gives off a "Voodoo Queen from New Orleans" kind of vibe, so I'm guessing it's some sort of zombie thing. Would be a pretty good incentive to get people to join your gang. You get killed following orders, they'll just bring you back from the dead.
  23. This. I feel like the biggest problems with 47 year old Rebecca are her hair and her clothes. I'm two years younger than the Big 3 and by the time I was in high school, I don't remember anyone's mom having hair that went past their shoulders. Most had either a bob or a pixie cut or something else on the shorter end. If they did have slightly longer hair, it certainly wasn't all 70s styled. The clothing Rebecca wears also looks like it's from the 70s or really early 80s for the most part. Absolutely nothing about middle aged Rebecca (or really middle aged Jack, for that matter) says 90s to me. Rebecca needs some mom jeans, stat!
  24. You know, when they first introduced the idea of Bow becoming a stay-at-home mom, I thought it would be an interesting plotline because it's something you don't see that often on TV. We see a lot of experienced stay-at-home moms (ie, women that have been doing it for several years) and lots of women transitioning from being a stay-at-home mom to re-entering the workforce but you don't often see a show covering a woman being a new stay-at-home mom and all the challenges and adjustments that entails. You see that plot with dads a lot these days but not with moms (because I guess TV producers just assume that all women just smoothly and naturally adapt to being a stay-at-home parent). So yeah, I was on board when they first decided that Bow would be a stay-at-home mom but I'm no longer a fan as it's become very obvious that they have no idea what to do with her in this role. There are so many things they could have done with this. In the earlier seasons, Bow was very organic/granola about food so why not have a plot where now that she has more time at home, she's gotten way into cooking...only it's all awful tasting and the rest of the family is figuring out ways to work around it. Her going to yoga makes sense so why not have her get really competitive about it, trying to show up her yoga classmates? Since Bow was so dismissive of stay-at-home moms in the past, why not have her be treated similarly by a working mom so that she realizes how unpleasant she was being before? Have her volunteer at the kids' schools and something goes wrong. Have an episode where she has to adjust from saying "Doctor" to "Stay-at-home mom" when someone asks what she does for a living. Any of those things would be better plots and subplots than what they have done with Bow in the last few episodes. I just don't get what the point was of having Bow stay-at-home to spend time with the baby if they're not going to actually do anything with her.
  25. This. I would have preferred it if Alba and Chip had stayed involved in the church as a background thing, with Father Zack showing up every now and then just so that Mickey could be super annoyed by it.
