  1. That is why I am surprised they cast a 17 year old like Finn Wolfhard to play Miles. I am not ageist at all, but I was possibly surprised at that casting decision.
  2. River Phoenix...what a loss. He was a trendsetter to other kid actors young or old who to this day should be thankful to expand other career choices. River did his choice playing a narcoleptic john in My Own Private Idaho and that was due to something that no one expected him to play before. I mean, I am sure Finn Wolfhard, Jacob Tremblay, and others are following what River Phoenix did that shows his range as an actor with talent. River would have been the go to guy when it comes to acting. There was no one else like him. Not even the Coreys did that back then.
  3. That is why I am a little iffy on The Turning which is probably just a modern remake of The Innocents. I mean, it is awesome to film it entirely in Ireland, but this movie with Finn Wolfhard and Mackenzie Davis, I don't know. We will have to see. I mean, it is tough to top the other actor that played Miles from Village of The Damned.
  4. And how many episodes would they be of after this? I don't think I can take another one of those Jessica based episodes anymore.
  5. Seems Kit Harrington is the main character. Release date is: December 13.
  6. Seeing The Innocents now, I was amazed how much this movie used to freak me out when I was a kid. Now I am wondering how Mackenzie Davis would capture the essence of Deborah Kerr's performance. Finn Wolfhard's Miles, too.
  7. I was afraid of that. Another Jessica is bad and needs a lesson storyline. I wish Evan would have gone ballistic and shut Jessica down in a way to what she did to him in class. That was really embarrassing.
  8. I think there has been a resurgence of both decades more recently: the late 80s and the 90s together. It seems like kids today who are born in the 2000s are becoming very interested in shows like Saved By The Bell, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and the original 90201 for fashion trends. Not to mention late 80s movies like License To Drive, The Wizard, The Lost Boys, and so many others from that time period are becoming the in thing. Even 90s movies are becoming popular again. I seen Good Boys and there is already a sense of becoming interested in those two decades today. Kids could wear something that was worn two or three decades ago. It is not that it is everywhere. Kids are following dress style from films from two or three decades ago. It's not the 80s making a comeback, but really of combination of late 80s-early 90s trend that is taking over this year.
  9. Charlie looked like a young 90s Devon Sawa.
  10. And it was kind like that Tom Cruise as Lestat in Interview With The Vampire with Anne Rice because of his height and all that. I think after all was said and done, she praised him. Never saw the Broadway version of Lestat(heard that was terrible). I seen both films, though. Including the strange Rosie O'Donell film, which is another Anne Rice book, too. Though I know she has set on the VC trilogy for the series for Hulu, I wish she went to The Witching Hour instead. I have so many cast thoughts on that book.
  11. What were they thinking with that design!?! That was some type of weird hybrid Michael Jackson Thriller shit going on!
  12. I think the major reason for Edward Furlong's short cameo is because of his drastic weight gain and all the drug abuse he endured over the years. However, I think the damage was done when Edward hooked up with that 20 something tutor of his during the Terminator 2 days. And you know that would not have worked due to their age difference, despite their first eight years together.
  13. I thought it was a reboot of the old show from the 70s.
  14. I totally agree that scene was disturbing. First, it is daring for someone who has charisma and good looks to sell pain like he did. It is interesting that was taken in one shot with him only and edited around the actors due to the extreme nature of the scene. I would be interested as to how they did that scene altogether in the making. One thing about Jacob is that he is an extremely gutsy kid. First cursing in Good Boys and being violently murdered in Dr. Sleep? Total guts.
  15. For the small cameo appearance Jacob Tremblay did, he really did sold that fear really well for a 13 year old. He has a bright career ahead of him and I hope to see more of him in the near future.
  16. You actually could spot the actor that played Danny in the original Shining as the spectator in this film, too.
  17. There are sometimes those Japanese that are more Americanized than us and their own race. And you could spot as to how perfect their English is. When they had that pretty model guide lady and she spoke with no accent, I knew she had to be Americanized. When I was in Ireland, I met a Tokyo man who had a bit of a small accent, but spoke terrific English as well. His grammar was great and he always ventures outside the city, which he always did whenever he has time off. Tokyo is great, but it is best to venture out in the countryside to experience Japan and the neighboring towns there, at least according to him.
  18. You have give Japan credit. First to become westernized ever since the US visit back in the mid-1800s. Lead provider of arcade games and video games: Street Fighter, Samurai Showdown, Final Fantasy, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Resident Evil, Mario Bros., and the list goes on. One thing the Japanese always gets right is how much effort they put in video games. They could be simple or downright difficult, but the Japanese know to work everything just like that. It is so amazing how something so complicated to Americans works well for Japan. Trust me, as a true gamer, I always amazed as to how the Japanese could make their games so good.
  19. Bloomberg........yeah, good luck with that. She lost me on that one. There were some heated tension between Judy and Bill.
  20. Why Jacob Tremblay's cameo is the hardest to film for the crew and cast
  21. That is what suffers from this show. You could do so much for the Jessica character, but in the end it's pointless. The Goldbergs are also suffering from this as well.
  22. All of a sudden cute innocent kids being murdered or eaten like Jacob Tremblay in Dr. Sleep and the Georgie kid from the It movies is now becoming the in thing all of a sudden in horror movies? That takes guts.
