  1. Jay has managed to be even worse than before. I can't stand people who expect everyone else to play their game--as in "I, Jay, get to take care of me and the rest of you have to play in a way that benefits Jay as well." = Please win Horacio or Kyland next week.
  2. I loved the episode. I normally would miss William, but not in this case. Fun change of pace.
  3. I liked Jay when he was in the underdog/lay up role but running things makes him annoying. If Horacio wants to sign up for reality tv, he needs to be more of a player. He plays like this is season 1 of a show where he mistakenly thinks its just a physical competition. You don't have to be mean or super caty but try to play the game. I also dislike how it seems like most of the challenges against the champions are not physical or do not involve going up against the champ directly. I like a mixture (but not where I fear for the life of the loser).
  4. any time I see a character on any show bending down to wash their hands with no one else in the bathroom, I think of Mark and get nervous for them. I can't rewatch the beating scene either.
  5. I remember the other character and expected him to stay around but he just disappeared. And you are right, it felt like Morris should have been the temporary one who realizes medicine is not for him.
  6. Morris starts out completely incompetent and then a miracle happens across a few seasons and he becomes a solid doctor. I wish the show had (a) not made him so awful to start with--was not credible to me he could be that bad and (b) showed an arc of how he got better. Instead it just goes from malpractice to the guy running things reasonably well with no explanation of how that happened.
  7. I take it there has to be some other twist to avoid either having way too many people at the final (if they all win their vet match ups from here on out) or them to just keep losing cash. Would be funny though if it just kept going down.
  8. that seemed like the easiest elimination challenge ever
  9. my favorite part of the episode is when some guests (maybe Susan or Peter) are in the back of the church and Romano walks in with his date. They look at him and he says "What, you didn't think I'd get an invitation?" in his Romano way that makes everything funny. I hate that they ruined the character. He was the most fun jerk.
  10. Sean was a real surprise. The show really doesn't work if people start treating it as a roughing it retreat where you have the option to leave whenever you get what you think you need from it. Re Bruce: I can understand being annoyed but K just seems obsessed and not thinking about who is a risk to her. I don't see Bruce as a real risk--if everyone thinks he's so nice plus physically strong, he becomes a target pretty quickly.
  11. I'm really enjoying the hopper. The fact the only way to be 100% safe is to win a daily is great. Much less boring. editing to add i'm not a Fessy fan but he's been a lot less annoying this season. Josh never stops being Josh.
  12. the challenge looked dangerous and seemed odd they didn't make the trampoline bigger or surrounded by really soft padding or something
  13. Wes voting for Cassidy just cracked me up
  14. just chiming in to say (what I've posted before) but Pratt's death made me cry real tears. It was not a good season for ER but they still moved me with the way that happened. The point when he realizes what is going on just gutted me. Well done writers and actors.
  15. I'm liking the hopper. I normally root for vets simply because they are known characters and I normally have no reason to cheer for newbies I don't know. But it had gotten really predictable along with alliances made off show, etc. Too much not rocking the boat. This makes it less predictable and you can't scare newbies into voting with you.
  16. I realize this is a tv how but kind of funny to imagine if this was a real person's birth story.. . "so then your dad got stuck to an MRI machine with scissors in his neck. . ."
  17. kind of unusual for this show to bring back a patient for follow up. It's been a good season for Dr. Charles.
  18. this. My fav Laurence line was "I came for blood. And more."
  19. random thought but seemed like Dr Archer's son had a really nice truck for a guy who has been down on his luck and just out of jail But I was glad he could help out.
  20. I couldn't believe we had to have another "doctor yells at owner" scene. Seriously writers. Besides being unrealistic, you've done it 100 times.
  21. I didn't hate Yam Yam but I found the finale so dull--and the reunion part so dull as well. We've been watching since season 1 but walked away thinking it may be time for the show to end. I don't want jerk players but a little more strategy drama would be nice. I got very tired of the editing that tried to make you think maybe THIS time Tika would turn on each other. It was clear they were trying to create drama where there was none. I liked Lauren but I'd like to see no more tribals where everyone decides who is going home and we just spend a bunch of time watching that person give a tearful speech.
  22. glad to see it wasn't just me. For a second I thought it was the baby's head and then just cracked up
  23. I don't hate Danny but I thought it very odd that he tried to convince all not to go for the rice. If it were me, I'd quietly decide "I'm not stepping down for rice" but be more than happy for other people to do it--(a) I get rice and (b) I compete against fewer people. There is no advantage to me to convince everybody to compete and it just gives people who want rice to be annoyed with me.
  24. If we gave prizes for best comment, this would be my vote. Attempts to make Glasses into a character I like will not work show. Please kill him off. I don't like Lync and Jo together so I can't enjoy their scenes together. And I dislike how they can just take days off no problem but all other times we're told how busy/short staffed everything is.
  25. I'm neutral on Carolyn. I think she's in a pretty safe spot for a while since most players will be more focused on physical threats. I didn't have an issue with the merge feast people not jumping on Carolyn's info as the driver of their plan. They (1) don't know her; maybe she just made this up and Josh his her close ally; (2) should know that idols and advantages are all over the place. Even if the idol Carolyn is talking about is fake, whose to say Josh hasn't found one while they were eating? or any other time? Given they had plenty of numbers it still made sense to split votes just in case. To me Carolyn seemed overly sensitive.
