I can totally see all of this. And, unfortunately, I think that there has been a HUGE change in Bethenny in the last five years, as evidenced by her current personality on the show.

Bethenny can't grasp that because she thinks that she is the only one who is allowed to express her opinion about everything and everyone, and in any manner she chooses. No one else is allowed to express an opinion that is different than hers, or that may be critical of her. That was evident when she mentioned several times last night how "angry" Dorinda seemed. And yes, Dorinda was angry - deseveredly so. I loved when Andy commented that both Bethenny and Dorinda seemed angry - I don't think Bethenny appreciated that.

Because there were no "highlights"?? If Carole were to leave, I wouldn't even notice...she bores me!

Bethenny is like a talking robot, who's memory bank stores semi-funny, most often already-been-said retorts and comebacks, and spits them out at the appropriate time. I've heard that phrase about opinions about a million times - it was only funny the first ten times. BUT - Dorinda's response "Well, that's an asshole opinion" was pure gold, and I will remember that one! :-)

Bethenny slipped up on that comment, but the rest of her story was told with much care of the words chosen. It was the slowest that I think I've ever heard Bethenny speak. She was choosing her words very wisely, so as not to reveal her "source" friend.

I would agree with you there, but Meghan just went to see Vicki for her birthday at the Merv Griffin house, and even brought her birthday gifts (regrettably, not a casserole). Meghan can't have it both ways ~~ she can't show up with gifts for Vicki, just so she could show off her non-existent baby bump and then declare that she is no friend of Vicki's.

Good point. Sometimes it's almost as if everyone forgets about Michael. Why couldn't he go and pick her up? Granted, it's a little farther to drive to Palm Springs from San Diego, but it's not like he would be driving for days.

I would want Heather around during a crisis at any time - she really has a level head and handled everything in the best possible way. Tamra is an idiot. Hoping they will both be okay, though.

Yup~~the more successful Bethenny has become, the less and less I like her. My dislike for her began in second season of her own show.

Gee...and everyone is jumping all over Luann for her and Tom's quick jump from dating to proposal. Seems like all those bald-headed guys think alike! ;-) Your wife is a lucky woman!! Sounds like a yummy dinner! :-)

I love this post so much, ZM!!! I agree, that Bethenny's hatred for Luann runs deep and long - all the way back to Season 1. I think it started when Luann told Bethenny that she shouldn't introduce people to her driver by using first names. Right there, Bethenny was "scolded" on TV by another - she didn't like that. Then, I wonder if Bethenny thought she would be the break-out star of the franchise, and maybe asked to write a cookbook, or something - instead, Luann got the book deal. And, if those twelve rules above are what are in Luann's book, Bethenny isn't very "elegant" (well, neither are any of the housewives). She breaks several of those rules all the time!

The ugly bridesmaid dress from Odd Mom Out, as hideous as it was, is beautiful in comparison to the jacked-up Mummy Halloween costume that Carole was wearing. Someone upthread mentioned it looked like the wedding dress rags that Dickens' Miss Havisham would wear, and they were 100% right!

I agree - I think Jules looks the best of all of them. The dress is perfect for her and for the Reunion - not too overly done, just a perfect LBD cocktail dress with a just enough bling to make it interesting. Plus, I think Jules is doing well since she and her little shit of a husband separated. Her face appears fuller, and she looks healthier, overall. Makeup and hair were en pointe, as well. Wish I could afford that dress - I would wear it to death!! :-)

When, after Bethenny called her boyfriend's "daughter" (still not buying that one, though), and Carole piped up with "A daughter never goes against her mother", all I could think was that Carole doesn't know shit about this. First, as Luann mentioned last season (in not such a nice way), Carole does not have children, so she cannot begin to understand the complexities of a parent/child relationship, and how it can go wrong at times. Second, and probably more important - dosen't her "bff", Bethenny, go against her own mother at any opportunity and has no problem with trashing and bashing her?

I think that Luann, deep down inside, is actually pretty vulnerable, so she is not exactly the best in the heat of a name-calling, nasty tirade toward her. She gets flustered and tries to out-think the other person, when she isn't the antagonist. Not only that, but I also think that while she makes no excuses for her love life, and is honest about it, but she doesn't appreciate being forced to admit anything when she doesn't want to. I also think that she feels she needs to "protect" the men in her life, or at the very least, maintain their privacy.

And, wasn't Bethenny offended because Kelly called her a "ho-bag" because SHE had participated in one night stand sex? My, how the tune changes when song isn't about the singer.... Well, if tonight is any indication, apparently, she is willing to sell out her boyfriend's daughter!

Not only that, but I love how, in Kristen's words - "a little making out" all of sudden, according to Bethenny and Carole, becomes Luann sleeping with the "name unknown" Scot, and from there, has proceeded to bed-hop all over Manhattan. Luann admitted to sitting, talking and making out with the guy. I still don't know why they continue to bring it up this season....let it the fuck go, already.

It's amazing that Andy even allowed that. Didn't he rip into other housewives, and Mike from Shahs of Sunset for using their phones during reunion taping? But, I forgot - Andy also has a room in the Bethenny Ass Hotel. She doesn't need Skinny Girl anymore - she should just charge rent to those occupying a space up her butt.

I said the same thing upthread. I think Brianna is enjoying her move away from Ryan and Oklahoma.

I was wondering if this whole Palm Springs weekend is another attempt of Vicki's for a redemption arc. For some reason, spending a weekend in Palm Springs with her family, including her grandsons, does not strike me as the way Vicki would REALLY want to celebrate her birthday. Not much in the way of "whooping it up" there....not with the grandkids running around. The Merv Griffin Estate looked amazing, though, and I would love to spend a weekend there, with my friends. Michael really looked like that was the LAST place on earth he wanted to be. Also, when Ryan walked in, was that a look of disbelief on Brianna's face, or a look that said "Oh shit, what is HE doing here?" - I got a feeling it was more of the latter. To me, she didn't seem overly thrilled to see him walking in, until she realized that the camera was on her.

I noticed that too, except, I thought Jacqueline's inability to move anything but her jaw reminded me of a ventriliquist's dummy, and they totally creep me out!!

Me too....there is something about him that just makes me smile! :-)

Ramona's cheeks look fuller (filler, maybe ?), so much so that, to me, it makes her eyes look much smaller.
