You can get a heartbeat via Doppler at 12 weeks, as I did with my daughter. Anything before that you need the ultrasound. The heartbeat looks like a flashing on the ultrasound. My first with my son was at 6 weeks and 4 days. I wasn't high risk either. It was my first pregnancy and the doctor wanted to see if there was a heartbeat and to help determine the due date.

My guess is Manny was ready to be done and he figured if he was going to play another game he might as well bet a huge amount. If you don't mind losing why not.
-
I don't mind have someone win with a dollar but I'd like them to at least have had a good game. Manny was awful.

I definitely don't think the pregnancy storyline is a desperation tactic the way it is with other shows. Face it, people get pregnant all the time. This definitely doesn't seem like the kind of show that's going to use it for the zany delivery scene and then a suddenly 5 year old moppet spewing precocious one-liners.

Kate lives at Toby's. Maybe she has a collection of home videos of her dad just the way she keeps his urn. Not a huge stretch. I really liked how Kate's pregnancy clues were nothing like what usually is done on tv shows. No scarfing down weird foods, or getting sick st random times. She's over exercising and not eating and with her weight issues, it makes perfect sense. One of my friends was an obese woman when pregnant with her kids and the doctors were pretty stern with her. It was a pretty realistic way for Kate to react in her situation.

Lol, what a funny game. Manny might be the most undeserving winner ever.

FG was easy easy easy.

I climb and my partner, who kicks my ass in every way, is 67.

I think that's a good thought, coupled with the likelihood that it's fatigue defeating the repeat champion as much as anything else. Meaning the player who beats them, no matter how impressive they seem, is really benefitting more from a tired champ than the fact that they are a phenomenal Jeopardy player.
-
Wow, what a super impressive champion Scarlett was. And what a super dull panel of contestants and new champion whose name I've already forgotten. Boooorrrrring.
-
I thought he and Jimmy were hilarious together. Loved his "Alex Trebeck might be a hologram".
-
Actually, Austin made it really clear on Jimmy Fallon that Scarlett beat him to a pulp and was totally on fire. He still seemed really happy for her but I'm sure that won't change anyone's opinion because like I said, once dislike sets in, everything grates...

Sean was invisible the entire game.

"What is a dick" "I am not aware of a dick tree". GOLD. It was good while it lasted. Back to boring, stuffy, lame episodes we go.

Oh hey look, Scarlett is the new Jeopardy champion...zzzzzzzzzzzz.
-
I don't notice it on Milo though.

Stallone had work done? Yikes, I wouldn't want his surgeon's number. I thought he had a stroke.

Love Austin. My 8 year daughter makes sure we're home to watch him every night. She's such a game show fan and he's helping her to like Jeopardy! better than Wheel of Fortune.

I think the fact that people can binge watch series now is adding to the frustration of how slowly this show peels back layers. People just want to know and they want to know now. Not in a few months. Fortunately for me, I don't binge watch anything and I rarely watch TV shows at all so I'm just happy to be watching something I enjoy.

I am enjoying this season as much as last year. I see no drop off at all.

We could go round and round on this because it's a matter of interpretation but I love that he can just let it go. To me he seems to be a stream of consciousness player and I don't mind it at all. I'm that way on my couch all the time except I curse a lot more. At least he doesn't remark about how confusing some of the clues are. I also tend to think once dislike sets in everything starts to grate, no matter what.

I like Austin and I liked Matt too. Totally different personalities but I tend to enjoy watching winning streaks because they are out of the norm.
-
Now this is hilariously funny and I think Austin would think so too.

I actually love that he can be "oh whatever" when he screws up a question. I admire that he can brush it off when so many others fold up like a cheap tent. It's a game show, not life and death. He doesn't need to look stricken when he loses a lot of money on a question (and he has lost big amounts on daily doubles). It's an attitude I wish more people would have. And I see nothing disrespectful about it.
-
I truly don't understand what histrionics people are referring to. So he has a stream of consciousness when he plays. How is that disrespectful? I haven't seen him doing anything at all that I would consider rude to the other competitors. He strongly reminds me of my BIL who has that same quirky sense of humor.
