The entire time he was sitting at the table and not participating but commenting, my wife just kept saying, "He is such a freaking DICK!". She said it at least 5 times. I just kept laughing every time his face was shown.

Of course they still do. I'm in my 37th year of working in a hospital. Many of the older, Viagra assisted doctors are now on their second and third wives. Several of which who have children from previous marriages who are older than current spouses. One example: I know the Radiologist (who was much younger when we met, and looked like Gerry Beckley of the band America). We worked at the same hospital and actually studied Taekwondo at the same place. His wife and kids studied there as well. They truly appeared happy and loving. They'd also asked many of the Rad Techs if they'd be interested in babysitting so they could have adult evenings out on the town. And many accepted. Well, one particular Rad Tech, female, blond and young, accepted quite often. Several months later, the rumors began to surface about the doctor and the tech. I didn't want to believe it. But it was indeed true. He ended up divorced from supportive, minivan, mother of two wife. And married to the "babysitter". I saw them a couple of years ago at a restaurant. He's the lead Radiologist in a group of several. Very successful and now looking "distinguished". She's now looking very much older. Much more snobbish and entitled. But very unhappy. Which probably has to do with the "new" rumors of him hanging out with some of the younger Rad Techs and Rad students. Funny how things are cyclical.

On a lighter note: Did anyone (other than my wife, my daughter and her boyfriend, and I) laugh and rewind during the scene at the party? When Olivia's friend turned and (annoyingly) greeted the cat? That cat's reaction was classic. Basically it was something like: "Bitch, please. You know I never liked you. And when the hell are y'all leaving? As a matter of fact, we moved to a different place in another part of town, and you STILL found us?" All as the cat turned away, and it's ears just laid back. Goodness, cats are so damn funny. We re-watched that scene at least four times. Best part of the episode, in my opinion.

While I DO NOT disagree with everyone's take on Paul Giamatti. I'd like to point out the hipocracy of it. If it were men commenting on Maggie Siff's nice figure. Or (insert unattractive female here) not so nice figure or face, we'd be called misogynists or pigs or dogs or all three. I'm not excusing the behavior of men. Just pointing out something I've noticed.

My wife (who only watches the show if she's in the room and decides to look up from her phone or magazine) and I pretty much said the same thing. "Why didn't she keep the Lexus, and give HIM the Honda Pilot?". That would've made more sense. But then again, that wouldn't have triggered Axe's curiosity. Don't forget, that is one HUGE house his mother lives in. I'm pretty sure Axe funded that as well. Not only would she lose his financial support, but she'd lose that house as well. She wouldn't be able to keep up with the taxes by waiting tables or cashiering at a local store. That is of course assuming the house is in HER name. One question: Does anyone else find it weird that Axe always knocks on the door of his mother's house? Most kids would just have a key and walk right in.

My ex-wife figured that one out about 5 years too late. She had her friends reaching out to tell me her biggest mistake/regret was pushing me away with her constant attitude.

What would truly endear me to Bridget, is if she takes Smitty out herself. Goodness! All that young "man" needs is a romance novel, a plate of cheese and crackers, and a few other women, to complete all of the "whine" he brings to the show. I wanted to slap him. I was saying the EXACT same thing to my wife. She did NOT have to ask Mak for the name of his CI. I think it's poor writing on the part of the TPTB. Angela's USUALLY pretty smart, and too clever to just ask the question. We'll see where this leads.
