  1. The show is good but not great because it's on broadcast TV. The last decade broadcast TV was truly great was probably the '00s at most. I really enjoy the show and I'm glad it was renewed, but we're going to have agree to disagree. Broadcast TV became Walmart while Cable/Streaming became 5th Avenue. 🤷‍♀️
  2. The show is good and I enjoy it, but I believe it would be great on paid cable or streaming because more freedom. I'm not saying being explicit automatically makes a series better, but the writers who use to work for broadcast back in the day. Clearly moved to cable and streaming.
  3. It technically is a filler episode since it is its own thing and not connected to the rest of the season. Excluding the subplot about trying to ban comic books. AU episodes are the only type of filler I enjoy. This is definitely an episode I would watch again. I might even buy it.
  4. It's 20 episodes and these long ass seasons on broadcast television is notorious for filler. I actually liked this one because it was as a homage to the horror comics that birthed TFTC and CS. Everything else is reminding me why I left 6 seasons ago, but I actually enjoyed this because I love stuff like this. I'll give them this. The comic book banning is very real. It happened. Old people always blame entertainment for "corrupting" the youth and actually go all the way to Washington to fight it.
  5. That's what I kept thinking. Is this a story about incels? Is he supposed be an incel because he had all the characteristics.
  6. I thought about the father angle too, but God, they are going full on soap in the first season?! I too enjoyed this episode and the flashbacks. I thought MPG was a goner. I'm glad he survived. I know Angie will definitely survive, but am I a terrible person for hoping she doesn't?
  7. Too be honest for a moment I thought the mother was going to be the murder victim after I put Alice in second place. I don't think stalkers care about compatibility. They build on fantasy and obsession. Even if she were into him, it would never work, but he doesn't care about that. Someone can actually be a good and a bad parent at the same time. Mrs. Khalil was that type of mother. He was never going to be what she wanted him to be. But he also wasn't a victim. Yes, what's his face was an ass and deserved a knock out, but Samir was jealous of him. He didn't do anything wrong. Yes, he cheated his wife, but that wasn't Samir's business. It's not like he [Samir] too was in an actual relationship with Alice.
  8. I stopped watching this series early S2, but decided to return for the final season after reading some early reviews. Queer people in the '50s married and had children because they had no other choice and many of them believed their feelings were unnatural because that's what the bible says. Whatever queer relations they did have was kept a secret. Nobody knew not even their spouses. And if their spouses did find out, it was still kept a secret. Outside of celebrities, divorces rarely happened. Many people fell in line. Liberal people were not very popular. Movies, TV and Music rarely stepped out of line. Kevin and Cheryl would have fallen in line. The Jughead and Veronica pairing is interesting. I stopped watching five seasons ago, so I'm not emotionally attached to any of the ships.
  9. I dislike it too, but Hollywood is a slave to tired tropes. One Tree Hill did it really well. Two opposite sex, heterosexual people who were truly just friends. They were like siblings. If the series is renewed. They can still end up in that 2%
  10. The first time was just touching her legs. She didn't answer when Angie asked her again at the house. It's a voluntary manslaughter conviction or a not guilty verdict depending. Her mother would be the villain given she gave her daughter to a sexual predator by dating him. The only thing is getting a private firm to take her case with no money, but the story would make the news, so she would find one.
  11. I sensed it very early on. It's a gift 😄 but MAYBE they won't go there? Even though the the tired tropes are there. Unless Edward is gay or TPTB introduce the female version of him.
  12. With a good lawyer, the girl wasn't going to any time or much time. She stabbed her abuser in the heat of passion. I really dislike it when shows make things more complicated than they need to be. I'm extremely tired of Will and Angie and it's only been 11 episodes. Only two more are left this season. I need to know if Will has ever had any real romantic relationships outside of his toxic Co dependency relationship with Angie?
  13. Dealers have connections. It never just one person to build an organization. One person is the King/Queen Pin, but they have many other connections. You cannot do it alone and with only one foot soldier. Where did the coke come from? Who was her connections? Phone records? Okay, who was she calling? Bank records? Okay, how much of it was tax free money? Both she and her husband works. Also given he was her husband. The feds would have a lot questions for him. There's no way he would know nothing. It also takes the feds years to build cases against big drug dealers. In reality we know serious charges court cases take way longer than what TV shows us.
  14. And if she was an actual dealer. I'm sure the witness list would involve more than one person. Of course the dumb brother cop doesn't mention any actual important details no matter how big or small. The DA also had no evidence those two people even knew each other. The guy has a record. I doubt this case would have ever made it all the way to a court trial. There's zero evidence to support said drug dealing. She went from teacher, married to a well off guy to drug dealer in three months?! And it conventionally happened in the middle of a nasty divorce/custody fight. WTF was that ending?
  15. I ship them, but there needs to be more backstory on that. The timeline is confusing. Susan is not that far removed from law school. What year did Todd meet Veronica? He wasn't dating Susan then, so has to be a high school sweethearts situation because they know the same people.
  16. Well, Betty is a sophisticated actress. 😎
  17. IF it is saved. It will only be because of a possible writers strike.
  18. Given they live in a southern state. I'm surprised this never came up, especially with abortion being front page news for a minute now. He knows lot of Conservatives. His own parents are probably Conservatives.
  19. Why doesn't the pond take you to buy the winning lottery numbers in your state? 😂
  20. I also didn't see the 1814 twist coming. We totally thought that was an ancestor at the beginning of the season. So who else can use the pond to time travel? It's totally unrealistic that only Alice and Kat know about it. With Elliott being a science teacher and all, I'm surprised he never tried it. It cannot be a Laudry bloodline thing if the dog can do it. 😂 I understand why Elliott broke it off with Kat. You need to live for yourself. At this point we don't even know too much about him. We know he also moved away, got married and divorced. Years later moved back to his hometown and became a science teacher. But his entire existence so far has been all Kat and Alice.
  21. Turner's accent keeps appearing and disappearing. Why didn't they just let the actor keep his real accent? It's dumb that the GCPD thinks these kids can kill Batman and do everything they are accusing them of. Damn, a billionaire doesn't have any hidden money his son can get his hands on?
  22. I actually agree and brought up the same issue some weeks ago. I enjoy it because it's different compared a lot of other shows on TV, but I don't know how long they can stretch it out. In the episode, Kate graduated from high school and moved to Minnesota. She stayed gone for over 16 years. Her daughter just met her grandmother. So is time going to change again? Create a new timeline? Present Kate goes back to look for Jacob? Young Elliott also left town after graduation? Is it possible that Colton had a heart attack? But an autopsy would have shown that.
  23. I enjoyed this one more than the other three. Let's be real. This relationship would never actually last, but that's the fun part until everything is out in the open.
  24. And it's not pretending it's the '90s. The last decade when newspapers were still sitting in the VIP section. It's very grounded. Sadly, it's most likely getting cancelled.
  25. I will not stop saying this, even when it's cancelled. Any series based on the blockbuster True Lies should be on a paid cable channel or a streaming network. TL was the first movie to cost a hundred million to make and it was rated R. I didn't even pause it when I went into another room.
