  1. Oh, look the game of Operation magically traveled back in time too! You know with it being invented in the '60s and all. The stories are just as ridiculous as I remember back when I left early S2. Nothing on this show makes a lick of sense. And the season of course is a bad parody of the '50s.
  2. It's a hard core porn fact that crime is linked to poverty. Bringing up money hungry white collar criminals doesn't erase that fact. The poorer a neighborhood is, the higher its crime rate will be. The richer a neighborhood is, the lower its crime rate will be. The richer you are, the better access you have to the best of everything. Poverty breeds crime. It's like how a girl born into a privileged family is likely to become a sex worker.
  3. In this day and age, I'm actually surprised no one has even started a rumor about her drug use! Every tabloid is online now. Professional and Amateur tabloid reporting. She was even high at her daughter's event in public in 2023. Mrs. March is hilarious. I believe she goes to the hairdresser dressed like that. 😄 Why wasn't I surprised that Mr. March is the daddy of the Court of Owls? 😄
  4. Wasn't the firm's original investigator out on maternity leave or something? That person has to come back in S2 and the writers pull something out of the tropes handbook. Allison needs to book a therapist, then book a vacation. That was a quick divorce! They split assets within a week?! Todd probably went to a bar or something. I doubt he went to the airport. I know I'm in the minority on the board, but I ship Todd & Susan, but I don't think he went to the airport because that's something a series would usually want to show. It would be used as a cliff hanger. Like Harry being at Margaret's condo was a cliff hanger.
  5. An emancipted minor in the '50s was extremely rare. Probably more rare than it is today. Of course the numbers are bigger today then in the '50s. But I don't expect this series to portray real life '50s statistics. Veronica's dialogue is still annoying the shit out of me.
  6. I was thinking. This show, of course, is still unrealistic. Veronica cannot legally buy a theater as minor and Jughead cannot legally write for comics without parental consent. It's like when we hear about "Child Business Owners." They cannot legally start a business by themselves. Child stars don't even control their own money until adulthood. Also a teenage girl in the '50s wouldn't be allowed to own a business, period.
  7. Another show that should have been on a streaming network. I'm going to miss it.
  8. It belonged on streaming. Also Emma and Charlie didn't have chemistry IMO. Charlie and Daphne had better chemistry. A lot of shows aren't meant for broadcast TV anymore.
  9. She's the female lead, so that won't ever happen. I'm fine with a cancellation because it did not live up to the hype and the leads have no chemistry.
  10. I'm actually happy about a cancellation. It was terrible.
  11. The show is still basic as hell, but entertaining.
  12. This actress is biracial. Also, Latinos can be white, black, mixed, Asian. So far nothing is happening, this season. It feels like a sitcom. I'm also tired of Veronica's pop culture references. Her dialogue is terrible. I use to think Chloe (Smallville) and her metaphors were horrific. But I think this one tops the cake. 😄 Nobody talks like that. Her ass should book a game show appearance. *The final scripts for this season were turned in before the writers strike. They will be done with filming in June*
  13. Remember when mothers use to tell their kids that their father died in the war or left to get milk and never returned? I didn't know people were out here creating faux professional sperm donor stories now. Times really have changed. Mom just decides to stay in the building and assumes her daughter and secret half brother would never develop romantic feelings towards each other? It's not unheard of for professionals with kids to live in apartments. But I don't know what Jessie's mom did for a living to afford to live in the building. I don't personally know any donor children. Most of the population doesn't, so there aren't many studies done on them as far as I know? Studies usually focus on the default in every situation. I too was looking for someone to snap doing this entire episode, but it never happened.
  14. Daphne and Charlie have way more chemistry than Charlie and Emma. I wish the series was about their love affair. lol
  15. The show is good but not great because it's on broadcast TV. The last decade broadcast TV was truly great was probably the '00s at most. I really enjoy the show and I'm glad it was renewed, but we're going to have agree to disagree. Broadcast TV became Walmart while Cable/Streaming became 5th Avenue. 🤷‍♀️
  16. The show is good and I enjoy it, but I believe it would be great on paid cable or streaming because more freedom. I'm not saying being explicit automatically makes a series better, but the writers who use to work for broadcast back in the day. Clearly moved to cable and streaming.
  17. It technically is a filler episode since it is its own thing and not connected to the rest of the season. Excluding the subplot about trying to ban comic books. AU episodes are the only type of filler I enjoy. This is definitely an episode I would watch again. I might even buy it.
  18. It's 20 episodes and these long ass seasons on broadcast television is notorious for filler. I actually liked this one because it was as a homage to the horror comics that birthed TFTC and CS. Everything else is reminding me why I left 6 seasons ago, but I actually enjoyed this because I love stuff like this. I'll give them this. The comic book banning is very real. It happened. Old people always blame entertainment for "corrupting" the youth and actually go all the way to Washington to fight it.
  19. That's what I kept thinking. Is this a story about incels? Is he supposed be an incel because he had all the characteristics.
  20. I thought about the father angle too, but God, they are going full on soap in the first season?! I too enjoyed this episode and the flashbacks. I thought MPG was a goner. I'm glad he survived. I know Angie will definitely survive, but am I a terrible person for hoping she doesn't?
  21. Too be honest for a moment I thought the mother was going to be the murder victim after I put Alice in second place. I don't think stalkers care about compatibility. They build on fantasy and obsession. Even if she were into him, it would never work, but he doesn't care about that. Someone can actually be a good and a bad parent at the same time. Mrs. Khalil was that type of mother. He was never going to be what she wanted him to be. But he also wasn't a victim. Yes, what's his face was an ass and deserved a knock out, but Samir was jealous of him. He didn't do anything wrong. Yes, he cheated his wife, but that wasn't Samir's business. It's not like he [Samir] too was in an actual relationship with Alice.
  22. I stopped watching this series early S2, but decided to return for the final season after reading some early reviews. Queer people in the '50s married and had children because they had no other choice and many of them believed their feelings were unnatural because that's what the bible says. Whatever queer relations they did have was kept a secret. Nobody knew not even their spouses. And if their spouses did find out, it was still kept a secret. Outside of celebrities, divorces rarely happened. Many people fell in line. Liberal people were not very popular. Movies, TV and Music rarely stepped out of line. Kevin and Cheryl would have fallen in line. The Jughead and Veronica pairing is interesting. I stopped watching five seasons ago, so I'm not emotionally attached to any of the ships.
  23. I dislike it too, but Hollywood is a slave to tired tropes. One Tree Hill did it really well. Two opposite sex, heterosexual people who were truly just friends. They were like siblings. If the series is renewed. They can still end up in that 2%
  24. The first time was just touching her legs. She didn't answer when Angie asked her again at the house. It's a voluntary manslaughter conviction or a not guilty verdict depending. Her mother would be the villain given she gave her daughter to a sexual predator by dating him. The only thing is getting a private firm to take her case with no money, but the story would make the news, so she would find one.
  25. I sensed it very early on. It's a gift 😄 but MAYBE they won't go there? Even though the the tired tropes are there. Unless Edward is gay or TPTB introduce the female version of him.
