I don't particularly mind what day, but I really hope the show moves back to 9pm or if it has to stay at 8 they move it to a different night. Thursdays at 8 is commonly known as the most competitive hour, which is why it has the highest ad rates for example. The CW were lucky to have the TVD as a break out hit which could survive that time slot and it's clear they've been struggling to find a replacement since. However, Supernatural is not the answer. Perhaps if they had first moved us when the TVD began to decline during its fifth season (season 9 of SN) we could have handled the extra competition, but the show definitely can't now. It was already down to regular 0.6s for the first time in the shows history, when they moved us and it will only continue to fall if they keep us facing the 8pm Thursday competition. Of course this is all just my opinion of course.

Yeah, I think Mark S and the show in general were anticipating the so called 'death' of Crowley as a big talking point / point of outrage in fandom. However, the way the scene was written, particularly the lack of spark and the convenience of the rat, made it obvious that the death wasn't real thus ridding the whole scenario of any suspense. I just hope he hasn't taken the lack of outrage about Crowley's death as some sort of indication that the fandom doesn't care about Crowley. IMO it's a reflection of BuckLemming's poor writing and not Mark / Crowley's popularity (or lack thereof).

Yeah my impression is that Jody is still a sheriff and not an actual hunter. The impression I have, is that as someone aware of the supernatural world, she can recognise the signs if she stumbles across something supernatural. However, rather than act on it herself as a hunter would, she calls on Sam and Dean to come and deal with it!

I'm honestly not worried about Claire. We already know from Ladies Drink Free she has been separated from Jody and Alex for a while now, so her lack of appearance makes sense. Plus, Claire seems to be a character the writers are invested in, so I couldn't see them giving her an off screen death.

I can see that argument applying to John, Bobby and Sam since possession is different to mind control. However, wasn't Castiel essentially in the same position as Mary during Goodbye Strangers? He had lost a sense of himself due to extensive mind control and training exercises that included the slaughter of hundreds of "faux" Dean's. IMO if he can do it she certainly should be able to, but of course YMMV :) Hmm that's a possibility! Now it has me musing on potentially bitch vs jerk, although I don't mean it that way. I know we've seen Dean get through to people possessed / mind control throughout the show. Have we ever seen Sam get through to a loved one in a similar manner? If we haven't then I think I'd be OK with Sam getting to be the one to get through to a loved one for once.

IMO unless they're purposely trying to present Mary's bond with the boys as weak then she needs to be able to break free based solely on her love for Dean. We saw John do it in Devil's Trap, Bobby in Sympathy For the Devil, Sam in Swan Song and Castiel in Goodbye Strager (and arguably Lucifer Rising). If all of them can do it and Mary can't then it doesn't say much for the mother / son bond does it?

I loved the episode! Probably the best of the season for me! Highlights include - Bex, Collin and Josh's vocals. - Wicked Always Wins - The Captain Swan Wedding - "I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a rusty fork" - Emma'a wedding dress (she looked so beautiful) and Hook's wedding suit (he looked so handsome)!

Rowena hasn't been confirmed for either episode. Unless Ruth makes a surprise appearance we may not see her again until next season. And Jody has been confirmed for episode 22 just. Although I wouldn't worry too much about that. I don't think she has ever appeared in two episodes in a row. ETA: What @DittyDotDot said

I can see your point about Benny and Amelia, but I don't recall Cas causing division between the brothers. As far as I can remember, it has generally been a case of they are both allied with Cas at the same time, or they are both against Cas at the same time. I can't really recall any major incidences of Cas and brother one vs brother two.

The whole head kiss thing makes me suspect even more that this is the end for Cas. I know kisses on the head like that can be platonic, but Cas isn't the type to show affection in that manner, so it can be considered very unusual behaviour for him! I suspect they're going to make him and Kelly a thing. They've fallen for eachother while he's played protector to baby, the baby is going to be good, and they'll write Cas out by having him go off to raise Lucifer Jr with Kelly as a new family. If they go that route they'll have given Cas a happy ending in hopes of decreasing the anger of his fans, and they have left open the possibility of him returning one day.

It certainly could have been that too! Either way, I thought it was a really chilling and well done moment! I didn't notice it when the trailer was released, but then when we saw it combined with Eileen's death the scene before the Charlie reference really stood out!

I agree with the flip and contrast changed it definitely doesn't look like Dean! I'm not sure who it is though so I'm going to assume some random American hunter they work with.

I agree totally ew! The shows consent issues have been a source of annoyance for me for a while now, but that's for another day haha. Maybe I misunderstood but I took what happened to Mary and Sam as two different things. I thought with Sam she created a false scenario in his head to trick him into giving up information, but he was normal once he snapped out of it. Whereas with Mary they seemed to be going for she's become a full blown slave to their will.
