I'm not sure where else to put this, but I'm honestly really disappointed by the reactions of certain segments of the fandom this week. Sure everyone has their favourites, but at times like this people should be banding together and not belittling the good work that has been done because it involves people they don't like. Worse still, they shouldn't be making false accusations against those just trying to help. I'm just so, so disappointed! So much for the so called SPN family. * I don't know if this is the right place for this, or if there really is a right place for expressing disappointment with general fandom, so for anyone interested in discussing further I'd prefer to do so via pm. I just needed to vent.

Not that it makes it any better, since there might still be a family out there who never knew what happened to a love one, but a sign at the foot of the bed read Jane Doe. I took that to mean that her identity was unknown to the hospital, and she was randomly found in her comatose state hence no grieving family at her bed side.

The death was official in the sense the body had flatlined and was dead. It wasn't official in a legal sense as the doctor didn't get the chance to do the whole "time of death blah blah blah routine"

Perhaps I misunderstood their post, in which case I apologise in advance, but ILoveReading described Ruby's meatsuit as a "soulless meat suit". I was pointing out that IMO there is a difference between a corpse and a soulless being like Sam or Amara's victims in s11. I think one could argue the questionable action of Sam's was the fact he participated in necrophilia, but I don't think there were consent issues as the body was physically dead and the soul moved on when Ruby possessed it.

I think trying to equate a soulless being like Sam in S6 or the victims of Amara in S11 with a corpse is over stretching and overthinking the situation, but that's just MO

I believe the writing team intended for us to see the flat line as an indication the girl was physically dead and her soul had passed on. Anything else is overthinking it IMO. I think there is meant to be a difference between a corpse (like the one Ruby possessed) which has died both body and soul and a souless being like Sam whose soul was mystically missing, but the body existed independently, but that's just IMO. Ah yes, thanks for the clarification guys :)

Although it does raise a different question. If the girl is dead then Ruby technically possessed a corpse. Are there any other known instances of this occurring?

IIRC she wasn't just a coma patient Lying in a bed. The scene we got was the girl flatlining and the doctors were about to proclaim her dead, only Ruby possessed her and "revived her" before they could.

I don't particularly care what anyone ships. Although I'm not a fan of the way Misha, Danneel and Genevieve are treated with such disdain by some of the J2 tinhatters. But I find it absolutely disgusting that people are complaining about people trying to help those suffering from a natural disaster because some of the people helping aren't a part of their ship.

@TexasGal To add to this, Misha is sometimes referred to as the "Meard" it's a combination of "male" and "beard". Basically, as I understand it, the J2 tinhats believe he's used to try and take the focus off j2 in a "see these guys just have deep relationship with their co stars. There is nothing to see here" type way.

Jamie finally leaving Cersei is too little too late for this viewer. Little Finger's death at the hands of Arya and Sansa was satisfying! I love that it took place with contributions from the three remaining children of Ned and Catelyn Stark! It was also good to see Bran becoming more invested in events again. Why was Tyron creeping outside the bedroom during the Jon and Dany sex? My personal speculation is that Dany will become pregnant, as a result of sex with Jon. The recent emphasis on her belief she is barren seems to be building up to a "haha you're wrong moment" Viserion bringing down the wall was a holy shit moment! Is it 2018 yet? I need the final season in my life.

Im fairly certain it has been too long to be linked, but this makes me think back to the whole exchange between Jensen and Misha where Misha seemed freaked out by the idea of Jensen revealing something. As I understood it, Crowley never intended to actually close the gates of hell since he knew the spell required a sacrifice from him. He just threw in the line about later helping them to close the gates as an incentive for the brothers to agree to work with him.
