As a teenager at a church his family attended, Mr. Xword was told that playing his guitar was sinful, because it would make people want to dance, even more sinful. His family switched churches after that. No churches for us, and 50 years later, Mr. is playing guitar more than ever as a retiree. Music and dancing. I hope JD and Abbie have both. Boob's head would explode, and that I'd like to see.

Even though I was an 18 year old bride, we had champagne at my wedding reception (courtesy of my in-laws, who had purchased it for my brother-in-law's wedding 2 months prior,) but his wife's Southern Baptist parents wouldn't allow it. The champagne fountain they rented for us was pretty, but it kind of took the bubbles out of the bubbly. Hey, at least it was alcoholic and a nice touch to our inexpensive wedding. Heathens that we were, Mr. Xword and I had carnal knowledge of one another pre-wedding, as well. I know this isn't their thread, but is it wrong of me to hope that JD and Abbie have done more than side-hugs and hand-holding? Si and Lauren? I wonder how much of their wedding and reception we'll see. She has to be pregnant by now.

I remember posting earlier that he looked like a little old man without his dentures. LOL, Mr. Roper, I never saw that coming! I just hope Giddyup has a sense of humor and is nothing personality-wise like his father.

For being such an educated, enlightened woman, Mariah sounds like a junior high schooler with all the "likes." Does she even listen to herself?

I know nothing about Priscilla's husband. In a nutshell, anyone care to fill me in? Like I posted earlier, I admire her faith. She does seem like a sweet person. Is Anna older than Priscilla? It seems a bit curious to me, that if Priscilla had a difficult time being born and thus O2 deprived? that Anna would opt to have her babies at home.

Aw, was Pippi Longstocking one of your favorite childhood books, too? My cat Lucy (Ricardo) would not put up with any kind of dressing up. She wears a pretty collar, and I brush her daily, but that's as girly as that one gets.

That's how we did it. Private ceremony at Mr. Xword's home, with parents and MOH and BM. Then, a reception for friends and extended family. It worked for us.

Those Duggars are used to TeeVee fame, and they're so special. They think, "who cares about the Vuolos, JinJer was a Duggar first!" As usual, Jana's left to deal with the crap work, while Ma Kettle and Jessa get the photo op and get to suck up all the attention. As much as I think Jer's a tool, I kind of feel bad for him (and his mom, if in fact she couldn't be there for whatever reason.) Now I wonder who was actually in the birthing/delivery room. I know I only wanted Mr. Xword and medical personnel there when I delivered.

@Catlyn, I remember that episode! I love The Big Bang Theory. At least AFF's dress was a prettier color, without that ridiculous insert to cover any hint of defrauding cleavage, that Michelle wore. Why, oh why, couldn't Michelle have just bought a dress with a higher neckline?

It does seem odd that such a big baby would now be thin...but I'm no medical professional. He just seems happy and smiley. Hot cars and kids/pets are a huge safety concern. I too hope Giddyup was not left in the car while Joy worked. I don't know what the temps are like in their area, but here it's predicted to be 100° for several days to come. Even with the windows open, here it's not safe even for a few minutes.

Love Bob, and I loved George. Two of the best comedians ever. I know next to nothing about Anna's family, but that video was sad. I admire her faith.

JD looks happy and I like the facial hair on him, like I do on Jer. Abbie is very cute. Jill does look nice without the open mouth and forehead wrinkles she often has. It's hard to believe that someone as tall as Dillweed still has on pants that are too long. Poor Izzy. It's a shame he probably won't reach his potential. Of course, that could be said about most of the kids.

I've said much the same thing. I like to chew. I don't want to waste calories on smoothies; I eat the whole fruit and/or veggie.

I can't help but notice Maddie's obligatory side-knot on her most likely LulaNo shirt. And Mariah's hat. She's got a hat fetish. Caleb is bald, but what is Mariah's excuse? Logan must work out religiously. He's bulky.
