  1. @scarynikki12, @Constant Viewer, @ShadowHunter I also loved that they all had toy Godzillas with them. I only saw one on the red carpet, but it wasn't until they went up to accept the award that I realized each member of the team had a Godzilla. It was adorable and wonderful until they had to figure out how to get to and read their speech.
  2. I feel obligated to post this even I know it is incredibly cheesy and TV but not movies. Although the theme song does name check some movie stars, so it's quasi-relevant. Mini-rant: The new movie looks like it completely lacks the heart and spirit of the TV series.
  3. I agree. Especially in a year with many lesser known/lesser seen films, this is a great way to promote the films and give people an idea of what the film is about or what it's like. It's on DVD and Peacock.
  4. I did too. I agree, until I saw Ariana Grande next to Cynthia Erivo then I saw what they were going for, sort of a Wicked cosplay, and it made more sense. Ultimately I liked it, but it only works when you see the two of them together.
  5. I went to school with someone whose mother was from Boston. He knew she was tired when she started using regional Boston slang. He knew she was exhausted when she stopped hiding her Boston accent.
  6. I can't remember where I read about chaos muppets and order muppets, but I'm glad you liked the description. I want to see Skylar sing as well. Maybe the investigation centers on someone who owns/runs the venue (a bar, a club, a theater, someplace where musical performances happen). Todd goes undercover at the venue. Something happens and he has to sing, possibly to keep the show from starting on time or for another reason.
  7. Just a quick FYI/PSA: Individuals who use plural pronouns tend to use they/them/theirs (at least that's been my experience). There was a movement to create a gender neutral pronouns. I think it was something like ze, hir, hirs, but it didn't really catch on the way Mx. did as a gender neutral version of Mr, Mrs, or Ms. And now back to the show: I don't think this was the first mention of bathroom schedules. I am almost sure there was a mention of one while he was still in high-school. I think he offered to create one for someone who was sort of acting as protector/bodyguard.
  8. No. Mary needs something in life that's hers. Even if her paid income was never something she viewed as a serious career and just something she was doing on the side to help out, her work was important to her and gave her something worthwhile to do. Now she's adrift and she needs something to fill her time, but I don't think Team Mom is the answer. Mary was a wild child in her teens. After a real health scare when the twins were born (I think Missy almost died) Mary became religious. You are not alone. I thought that was a fantastic shout-out/easter egg to TBBT.
  9. Do you count Clueless as one of them? According to the Academy, Clueless was an adaptation of Emma and therefore in the best adapted screenplay as opposed to original screenplay.

    Disney Films

One of my friends and I have a theory that the new emotions are only in headquarters and that close to the control board during adolescence. This explains why we only see the basic five emotions in Riley's parents.
  11. I am not a fan of Ronnie Chang, so I will be glad when his week is over. He's okay in small doses, but I do not want him to be the next host, if they are going promote from within.
  12. I like the way this show tried to normalize therapy, especially for men with Simmons. I enjoyed learning more about each character's backstory. It's nice that Max is starting to get along a bit better with the other detectives/officers.
  13. I would say yes as long as the filming schedules do not overlap. Each series is only about 10-13 episodes per season. It seems pretty doable for the actor.
  14. Will and Angie are simultaneously the best and worst person in each other's life. Angie encouraging Will to deal with what happened is great, because she is the only one he might actually listen to. Will helping Angie hide her pain is a bad idea.
  15. @Shanna Marie I am not normally a fan of Disney sequels, but I really love your idea for a second movie that is Ariel and Eric having an adventure and trying to find out more about Eric's biological parents. Maybe the Coral Moon can somehow play a role in it. Ariel sends out the word that she's looking for information, and at the Coral Moon her sisters tell her what they have found.
  16. Jamie looks so much younger without the beard. Joe vs. Jamie is always fun to watch. I thought the undercover storyline was going to to on longer, but I'm glad it's done. Part of me liked the idea of bookending the series with Jamie having a season long story arc. Overall, I liked the episode.
  17. Huge yes to both of these. Sheldon is really good about rules and structure. It would have worked. You could have raised the stakes of the conflict/problem. Sheldon still gets off the train, but it's toward the end of the day and the next train will get him back after curfew or something.
  18. There are some names that are commonly used for both boys and girls. However, if he only knew Taylors who were girls, he might not have thought of it as a boy's name. I thought it was a different trip to Germany where another tornado happens. I thought George died while Sheldon was at CalTech, not in Germany. Either way, you are correct that George dies after what will most likely be the end of the series Young Sheldon. That is my understanding of the timeline. I agree with you for the most part. There should be rules that take safety into account, because he is still a young teenager. There may be towns/neighborhoods that are fine in the daytime, but unsafe at night, or towns/neighborhoods that are unsafe in general. For some reason, I'm picturing what would have happened if the parental positions were swapped (Mary spending the summer in Texas and George spending the summer in Germany) and how George would have handled it. I can picture him laying down some ground rules, like day trips only and he has to back by a particular time, but letting Sheldon explore the city and ride trains on his own. I think this highlights the difference between George and Mary. Mary thinks everyone should do whatever it takes to make her special little boy happy. George thinks that even though Sheldon is smart, he still needs to live in the real world like everyone else.
  19. Same here. It's like chaos Muppets and order Muppets. When you put a chaos Muppet and an order Muppet in a scene together, comedy is often the result. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Belinda Tuttle. I am not sure I would not want her to appear as a regular character, but I could see her being the kind of character that's fun to see once or twice a season. L.A Law brought in a similar character (Susan Bloom) when the firm was having financial trouble. If I remember the deal/storyline correctly, she rented out space from the firm and she was allowed to use firm's resources. The firm took a percentage of what she made. I want to know what exactly is she doing, why is she doing it, and who is working for.
  20. I think this is true for Lydic and Costa. Before I saw them host, I thought I didn't I liked Costas and Lydic. It turns out that I didn't like the "characters" they were forced to play when they were doing bits with the host or field pieces. When they get to be themselves and closer to who they are, I actually like their work.
  21. I had the same reaction but I was willing to roll with it because it's TV Land. This is a completely plausible and in character/in universe explanation for George's behavior. George doesn't want anyone messing around with his little girl, which is sweet and problematic at the same time. That surprised me too. I think it would have been funnier if George had said "Okay, but don't tell your mother." I can believe George being okay with it. I'm having trouble believing the super religious Mary would be okay with it.
  22. @Yeah No-There is another compelling reason to skip ahead a few years for the Georgie and Mandy spin-off. The baby will be more of a character that can impact/play a role in plot lines as opposed to being a prop.
  23. I'm guessing longer trips are on weekends and shorter trips are after class. Someone who isn't used to trains, buses, or other non-car modes of transportation. I don't think that works with the timeline. Sheldon is about to start his final year of college. I am almost sure Sheldon is away at CalTech when George dies. I don't think George's death is going to be an on-screen event we see. It may be mentioned in voice-over. I was surprised Taylor was okay with the lie Missy told and that he didn't have a moment's problem with it.
  24. It was great to see more of George. It's fascinating to learn what kind of person he is and the impact he had on Max. I enjoyed the episode.
  25. I think if it was just a father/son fun weekend project people would not have had that big of an issue with it. I think the problem most people have with it is that this is a school project, as in something that is going to be brought into school. With the world we live in and zero tolerance policies, I can understand why people would think this is a questionable science fair project.
