  1. Another viewer here who is sad this is our last week of the season.

I came up with New Mexico, Yankees, Arizona, Pictures at an Exhibition, Scotland and guessed Sierra Leone for FJ which was wrong. Like many of you I need to brush up on my African geography before next season.

    Never had a dishwasher!

On a side note the few KFC’s near me all closed! I prefer them to Popeyes.

I’ve had both. However the Popeye’s served out of the New Orleans metro area IMO isn’t seasoned as well. They seem to be shy on adding the spice which is part of what makes Popeyes so good.

  3. Same issue once everyone brought David’s tic to mind, but I did get annoyed with Toula saying please. I wonder if they took up enough time to cause the final two clues to be left on the board.

All I came up with were Ace Inhibitors and Croatia (was there in May).

Edited to ask: Would someone please tell me the meaning of the answer 2 X 4/20. I understand the lumber part.

  4. I must be in some kind of clue bliss because I’m usually concentrating so hard on them I miss a lot of the contestants quirks. Gratefully.

Last night I came up with Oxford, salt, Cadillac Ranch and after a short debate (the German threw me off and I was mentally going through Klimt paintings) came up with the correct FJ.

The coldest store around metro DC is Harris Teeter. I always buy ice cream there cause they really know how to keep their freezers ice cold. Plus, I always have a thin LL Bean "jacket" with me in warm weather as the whole store is cold (not complaining). HT is a southern (NC) supermarket chain so they know how to deal with hot summers. Just got home from gassing up my car and Harris Teeter. It's overcast but it got more & more humid. It's now 71% humidity. I felt like I was wading through the air in the parking lot as I pushed my cart to the car 🥵😖😵‍💫.

Fellow HT customer as well. My gripe was the kid checking me out couldn’t be bothered to bag my groceries. Then the customer behind me got  annoyed because I couldn’t do it fast enough 😳

It isn't Jeopardy! production who does the Archive. It is done by Mark Barrett, from JBoard, on a strictly volunteer basis. At least as far as I know.

Sounds like a labor of love. I, for one, really appreciate him doing it.

Opinions please.  One college graduation, one high school graduation.  Both my Grandchildren.  Do they get the same amount of cash?  My Son said College merits more money than high school.

To them graduation is graduation. I always (even for a sweet sixteen or 18th and now 21st) have given my grandkids the same amount of money. They compare and it keeps them from fighting.

  8. I’m not sure about the new champ, but t least I can keep watching. I got wasp, highboy, canoe, psalms plus one other I didn’t get written down.  I had a guess for FJ, but it was wrong. Seeing all the contestants and a lot of you getting it makes me feel like a dimwit. Must have low blood sugar. That’s my excuse to now medicate my loss with chocolate 😹

  9. @Cloud9Shopper I think you need to find something special for yourself to do the day of the wedding. Perhaps one night at a BnB, or perhaps a spa treat. Do you have a friend not too far away that you can go and visit?
Like you I’d have trouble not taking this personally, but Browncoat is right. There may be something going on that you have no clue about. You are a special person deserving of good things.

  10. I was recently looking for something to watch on Netflix and came across As They Made Us written, produced and directed by Mayim Bialik. The catch phrase was “If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry”. Well I did neither. She was able to procure two decent stars for it. Candace Bergen and Dustin Hoffman for the parents. I found it depressing and a bit lackluster. I’m wondering if it’s a disguised semi-autobiography. Anyone else?

So, way back in the day when I worked in theatre, Sheena Easton came through in Man of La Mancha (with the incredible Raul Julia).  She was stridently vegetarian/vegan to the point of sending her dresser out to our office to complain that the fried rice she'd gotten had "bits of flesh" in it and what were we going to do about it (nothing, since we didn't order it...).

However, I have frantically googled "Sheena Easton cattle farm" and come up empty.  Ah well...

Allegedly my ex brother in law has had “relations” with her in the garden shed. I’ll leave any details out, however he isn’t prone to exaggeration or lying.

Where I live, we only have PO Box delivery from the post office.  When we put local mail in the box, it goes to a town 2 hours away and then sent back.  So that is a possibility round here.

My local mail has to go 104 miles away to be sorted and sent back. I can get a letter to Colorado quicker than I can to one in my town (east coast).

  13. Driving with sunglasses is a good idea. They can reduce glare with limits eye strain, and exposure to light can cause future eye problems such as cataracts. Even in our vehicles we still can have exposure to UV light which is also bad for our skin so I can see why she thinks the hat would reduce the risk to her face. Especially if combined with SPF protection.

  14. Re: Appliances. My brother, most of my neighbors and myself have Samsung refrigerators. All of us have issues with them. Especially the ice makers. My neighbors (4 of them that I know of) also got their flat top stoves. Another mistake. They scratch easily and look old and worn even if they’re only a year old. I have GE profile one that came with my house 6 years ago. Not a single scratch and I’m hard on a cooktop. Their Samsung dishwashers take a long time to run. 60 minutes for the short cycle. My GE takes 31 minutes, and the regular cycle takes 64. Personally I’ll never buy another Samsung appliance.

  15. Not too bad of a night. I came up with Bridget Jones Diary, Las Vegas Strip, show jumping (my sport), the missed DD of Barcelona, The Harder They Come, Moses and scallops. I finally (like a few of you) got FJ so my week isn’t going to be a washout.
