  1. LOL. You should be writing show comebacks.
  2. Your question actually made me wonder and I stumbled onto this blog written by the person Wendy wants us to think she is. According to her, the multi wick candle gives you a stronger scent because the wax is burning faster. But it is very unclear that it covers a significantly larger area. I think it just distributes the scent faster. She ALSO explains wood wicks! " Multiple wick candles do in fact give of more scent so the higher price does indeed mean more fragrance. By adding more wicks, you are burning the wax faster, which means that you get a stronger smell." https://housefragrance.com/do-multiple-wick-candles-smell-stronger/
  3. Because it's a public dig at her marriage that is hard to disprove. As a personal choice I never drink liquor or use any illicit drugs (not even weed). Someone close to me once started commenting to other people about how my "behavior" towards them and my avoidance of them could be attributable to drug use. There was not a single shred of truth to this. And I didn't find it cute or funny at all. I was deeply hurt that someone close to me would go around lying to people about me. I don't think it's some sign of weakness or insecurity for Wendy to be hurt. Just like I didn't think I was weak or insecure for being hurt. I find it hilarious that gizelle would talk about anyone else being too fragile for the show when she wouldn't even entertain questions and comments at a table in front of the group. She is, apparently, just as weak a bitch.
  4. Being condescending and patronizing isn't bullying. Its just being condescending and patronizing. I definitely don't think using status to make someone else feel bad is bullying. Not every instance of assholery is bullying. In fact very few are, IMO. Re: Juan. Robyn called him from a table full of people and was clearly trying to get him to back her up about their relationship being serious. Instead of giving her that little feel good nugget on national TV he was basically like "what are you talking about, whatever, I'll call you later, bye" I mean geez, as Robyn sits there in front of all her friends trying to defend her relationship. ETA - Robyn decided to get in some association beef over someone cheating rumors. That was her decision, if she wants to stir up that hornets nest for Wendy and Eddie then she shouldn't have any problem when someone stirs up that honests nest for her. You'd think after three seasons of Ashley's speculative meddling Robyn would have learned to keep her mouth shut on any cheating rumors, but she wanted to involve herself so the issue of Juan's fidelity is rightfully on the table. One could just as easily craft a narrative where Robyn is sleeping all day and depressed because Juan is cheating.
  5. For all this talk of Eddie, it's Juan whose attitude makes me think he is cheating. I had always taken robyn at her word that we just didn't understand the nature of the relationship she and Juan had but behind closed doors it was loving and strong. Even though he always sounds at least mildly contemptuous when they are talking. But some people have a different relationship behind closed door. However, seeing robyn on that cringey desperate call let's me know that she does, indeed, care what others think. And the fact that Juan knew or had to know that she was sitting at a table with everyone else and basically responded with the same level of dismissive contempt makes me think that he really, really just doesn't like robyn. She needn't worry about Eddie rumors because soon enough there will be some more out about Juan. Robyn may choose not to care but she may change her tune once some girl decides she wants 10 minutes of blog fame.
  6. I didn't think what Wendy said to Ashley was bullying. She didn't engage anyone else in the fight. She didn't physically intimidate her and she wasn't demanding she take her child home. The "people like you call me doctor" line was patronizing and condescending. Both are terrible but neither rises to the level of bullying, IMO. The only time Ashley MAY have been bullied is when gizelle and robyn both confronted her at OZ about her persistent meddling in Robyn's marriage. I ultimately think we have a different definition of bullying. I generally don't consider one on one beef or arguments to be bullying. To me those are equal parties sparring.
  7. I think a lot of wendys "transformation" in looks and attitude have been a direct response to the criticism she got last season. Wendy was routinely criticized for being boring and matronly, and apparently having a flat butt. I think she took it to heart, and did a complete 180 in looks and personality. I dont think it has much of anything to do with Eddie and has more to do with reacting to her ideas of what the audience wanted. Ultimately, this is where someone as incredibly smart as Wendy showed her Achilles heel. She didn't realize that this genre, this series, this franchise is meant to galvanize the audience. You're gonna have people who like you and people who hate you no matter what you do or how you act. At no point will everyone love you and if they do its means you're kinda boring. Some people love gizelle and some people hate her. Some people love karen and some people hate her. Some people love candiace and some hate her. Same with Ashley, same with Kenya Moore, Kandi Burress, nene leaves, Kim z, piranha, marlo.....everyone has their fans and detractors. But Wendy tried to change who she is to placate her detractors and that's silly, but it may come from bring an academic. Someone gives you feedback on an assignment and you take that, work on the issues and improve your work. This show isn't that. No matter who you are some people are going to love you and some are going to hate you. Thank you all for attending my Ted talk.
  8. I dont think Ashley or gizelle have been bullied. A one on one argument, to me, isn't bullying on this show. But waiting until you have two other friends to back you and coming after someone for something that in no way effects you at all? That's bullying to me. This wasn't like monique, who asked for a meeting after she attacked candiace. Wendy's clothing options are hurting no one. Even if wendy is acting ridiculous it's hurting no one. if gizelle wants to lie and say she brought it up because she cares, fine, she brought it up and then she, robyn and Ashley proceeded to completely ignore wendy and talk over her when wendy tried to give a calm and rational explanation. I, too believe that everyone thought Monique was inappropriate but didn't cheat. But reality TV is not a nuanced genre and I think gizelle let the misconception of belibeing that Monique slept with the trainer hang around out there. And, she didn't like the lie. Maybe Robyn chooses not to care about the "lies" people spew about her relationship. But other people, and I include myself, have a fundamental sense of fair play. One on one shade and beef over the truth is fine. But lying, ganging up on people, physical assault? Not for me.
  9. On a side note, it's funny to me that when Wendy tried to calmly explain, on numerous occasions, why she changed how she dressed, gizelle wasn't having it and persistently brought it up. The only way wendy got gizelle to back off, shut up and stop talking about how she dressed or acted every five minutes was to finally dress her down to the ground. Gizelle, to me, looks like a high school bully. She will keep pushing and picking until you stand up for yourself. It's sad that this may be the behavior she is modeling for her daughters.
  10. Some people really take offense at being lied about. I dont think anyone thought monique cheated on Chris s. and that the baby belonged to a trainer. But it really, really upset her.
  11. Coincidentally, I am going to be launching a 5 and a half wick candle line. Its just like your, but far superior in that it can fragrance a foot more space. Better luck next time.
  12. is there some aliexpress clearance sale on candles? mia, wendy and karen are doing candles.
  13. I think Wendy had every reason to go after Robyn who participated in ganging up on Wendy and then gaslighting her. Robyn has no right to be pissy, if she wants to talk about rumors on national TV ...then her non-existent relationship with a man who seems to be looking for every excuse in the world not to marry her is going to be a topic of discussion. Maybe next time Robyn can let fragile Gizelle fight her own battles. But if she insists on getting in the middle of Gizelle's shit, then some of it will get on her shoes too. Can anyone remember the last time Robyn had an independent beef with anyone? According to Robyn she chooses not to care, until she does care and has a weird ass conversation with Juan at the dinner table. It was very shades of "I'm glad Juan Dixon isn't here!" And rightfully, Juan didn't give a shit and sounded annoyed with Robyn for being ridiculous. I've really liked Robyn right up until this girls trip. I do not like three on one ganging up and I thought Robyn was better than that. Wendy is right in that Robyn seems desperate for a moment. When Wendy paid her dust at the table Robyn kept looking upset. Like what else do you want Robyn, Wendy apologized even though she doesn't owe you an apology. Would you like a kidney? Were you perhaps hoping for a fight so someone would care about you beyond Gizelle's shadow? Candiace is right, Robyn's behavior is taunting. Instead of taking a second to THINK about what Candiace said, Robyn and Gizelle immediately tried to talk over her. Oh and Robyn was "offended" because Candiace is saying she cannot have an opinion. Which no one said, but there is no need to gang up on someone and follow Gizelle's lead into every fight so its unequal. Why couldn't any of them just let it go? If something is wrong with Wendy, you asked and she isn't telling you, why keep ganging up on her? the two of them kept picking and picking and picking at Wendy and when she finally had enough suddenly she is the bad guy. I'm very disappointed in Robyn. Gizelle with the nerve to talk about how Wendy doesn't "belong in the group" because she is too sensitive while Gizelle is, the next day talking about being told off. I guess Gizelle is sensitive too or else she would have just let it go But I suspect "too sensitive" in Gizelle speak is "you talk back"
  14. To point A I'd only say it was entirely possible that he knew how emotionally difficult the trip was going to be for Wendy with Gizelle and Robyn and he wanted to be a cornball but answer the phone in a way that would make her feel good about herself. To point B. I think you could be right and she didn't want to talk about an affair, but Eddie is pretty darned smart and I don't think he would say anthing about it either way knowing she was being filmed. So even if she "talked about it" with him when she called, I don't think he would say anything.
  15. Can they just pay Ashley the check, but stop putting her "at home with my creepy husband" segments on the show? We all know Michael Darby grabs butts and would abandon his "family" in a second if Juan Dixon wanted to run off into the sunset. The segments are boring, you got nothing to prove Ashley, because no matter what Michael Darby is a creepy sex pest. I really love how Candiace supports her friend, because its consistent, its not combative and its not just done for show. Candiace has routinely defended Wendy against Gizelle's attempts to get vindication when Wendy hasn't been around. Take notes Robyn, you don't need to be loud, obnoxious and gang up on someone.
  16. I am flabbergasted that Robyn really thinks she didn't do anything wrong and didn't participate in ganging up on Wendy with Gizelle and Ashley. The gall of Gizelle to call someone out for "high school behavior" when she is basically the stereotypical Mean Girl highschool cheerleader/Heather is incomprehensible to me. I kinda wonder what Robyan says now that she has watched the footage back. She really used to be my favorite HW on the show, but ganging up on someone then trying to gaslight the person you ganged up on and everyone else who saw it is ridiculous. And Robyn who "CHOOSES NOT TO CARE" suddenly wants to have some confusing public conversation with Juan at the table? I thought you chose not to care what people said Robyn? Robyn is starting to look thirsty for some camera time, like the second she got off that call and no one said anything she was like "well are you going to ignore me too Wendy?" Girl, what? I think Wendy is ridiculous for giving these Phaedra Parks "I got a man" reads, but Gizelle has chosen to talk shit about everyones relationship, so people are going to pick her relationship apart too.
  17. I did reference Kidman as nabbing all the roles for "willowy woman of a certain age" and that does have to do with her looks as it applies to her roles. In the recent roles I can think of (The Undoing, Big Little Lies, now this) each role kind of called for a beautiful, but kinda willowy, physically weak (this is not the best word, reserved, kind of quiet, mysterious woman. In The Undoing she was a therapist who listened a lot, she was generally kind of a beta personality and her blonde friend was much more of an alpha. She was reserved, rich, wife material, well spoken. In Big Little Lies, kind of the same. Even here, where she is an enigmatic and charismatic leader, she still listens A LOT. She is a mystery and so I get it, like we can see her seducing Yao but we dont really know exactly how they connected or how she actually feels about him. When she is talking to Delilah there are very few words spoken and she has such a facade. You can see whats going on with Delilah, but not with her, so to me, its kind of the same character. I hadn't noticed the plastic surgery until it was pointed out on a forum about the Undoing and then I was like oh yeah, she probably had plastic surgery, but I still think she is beautiful. But give other willowy 50 year old woman a break Nicole, turn down a role or two! @lucindabelle - I feel your pain and am sorry for it. I think the times, they are a changing. Women 55+ have careers and disposable income, so I think the beauty industry is starting to fill that market. Makeup brands like Dior, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Marc Jacobs and YSL all have products geared towards a more mature market. I know for a fact that Urban Decay has an eye primer for more mature consumers (I know because I purchased it). If you ever stop by a Sephora, I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.
  18. LOL, yeah. I think Michael Shannon is an AMAZING actor (I think I first saw him in Boardwalk Empire) so I feel like this is exactly what the part calls for, but I have no idea how he ever found a woman to marry because he seems absolutely exhausting. I cringe everytime he references "The Marconis" I'm hoping there is much, much more to the character, because his "deep moments" don't feel like much of a contraposition to the hilarious mixture of GOOP HR person and preschool teacher you're talking about. Its not so much the accent (which is bad) as much as it is the inconsistency of the accent. Sometimes its there, sometimes its not, it can change in a scene! If there is a reason for this, then I wish it would be explained (maybe her origin story is fake and she is just putting on an intermittent accent? **that is not a spoiler, I'm just saying it would be a valid explanation
  19. The Cleopatra wig looks well laid. I love a good old fashioned Naomi Campbell bone straight weave/wig with a center part. The problem with Brittney's is that the part is SO DISTRACTING for some reason that I cannot understand. Its so eye catching, I don't know if she needs to get at it with some concealer or if she just needs to tuck one side of the hair behind her ear so there is something else for the eye to look at. I think I was infinitesimally more put off when I realized that Brittney was wearing an R necklace as some sort of link to Ray. She is so insecure, take it easy lady, the man doesn't have a job and is stuck in your house.
  20. IMO, Ray was....at the VERY least semi-catfished at some point. Brittney and I both know that those pictures of her in the red swimsuit were about 50 pounds ago. Ray seems fine with it? However, I'd bet that she has a lot of the same feelings Jessica had.....that now that Ray is out of prison and has a loving and supportive family, he has more options than he had in prison. All his talk of wanting to take it slow must be freaking her out and I'm sure his family is in his ear about how he just got out, so for his sake and for brittneys sake he should play the field a little so he can be ABSOLUTELY sure this is the right relationship before they have babies. He is treading on thin ice because I dont put it past Brittney to lie about being on the pill or poke some holes in a condom or some other tomfoolery. She seems like that girl to me.
  21. Whatever that is it looks like trouble, because each tiny bit of hair is holding like 20 inches of fake hair. I actually think she could have gotten her hair to grow faster and healthier if she had used the wigs. The length of her hair was PERFECT for a wig because it would have laid flat.
  22. I think Kelly has extremely low self-esteem and Shawn was able to capitalize off of that. Fucking turd, she gave him six children and he hasn't even taken her to a nice restaurant over 16 years. And then to try to say that she was keeping him from his kids. I can't stand him.
  23. First, I'd like to say that a guy wearing cologne to the gym sounds like a fucking nightmare. A miasma of funk, BO, sweat and Axe (because you and I both know thats exactly what Shane and Lacey consider cologne). You just know he is positively reeking at the gym, gross. Second, I don't like Lacey and I don't like Shane, but I LOOOOOOVE a fat happy baby. How did these two life rejects ever create such a beautiful sweetpea? Third, is Stan checking his stocks in the newspaper because he doesn't know about computers or does he just like living like its 1982, because that would explain his house. Fourth, I'm so glad to see Brittney and Marcelino back, their inspiring story of love and redemption is always such a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Fifth, cryptocurrency is pretty much the same as gambling with your money so whatever. I generally appreciate their segments so I can get snacks. Sixth, Shawn, as usual is awful. But, that is to be expected at this point. I blame Kelly for not putting a support agreement in writing. How fucking sad that her turd of an ex never took her out for a nice dinner in sixteen years, he is so gross. Seventh, despite my best efforts, Lacey is kind of growing on me.
  24. LOL, that'd do it!
  25. Thank you for this comment. I've been mostly lurking to see if anyone else feels this way. I like Nicole Kidman and think she is an okay actress. But not only is her accent awful, it's extremely spotty in every situation (which maybe by design but that should be explained)....she just isn't great in this role. She isn't a good charismatic leader. I can't understand the rush to cast her in every role that calls for a willowy woman of a certain age.
