You're right. Everyone is talking about Wendy, but I wonder how much research gizelle ever did because the foundation market feels extremely saturated at all price points. ITA that she would have been a great brand ambassador and if she really believed in the brand she could have sold her endorsement for equity. Like Beyonce! LOL. Gizelle probably meets lots of nice gentlemen but wants a Jamal. She was dating that one guy who was extremely corny but was over the moon for her.

It will 100% draw me back. Thank you @drivethroofor giving me the 411. I can't wait to buy some never working vantax cream. Real talk though, if they bring back earth red lipstick I'll buy it just because it's a total classic. I hope they update their foundation.
-
Exactly. Gizelle is known for being a pretty girl, but that's mostly on genetics, not lashes. EveryHue (AnyHue?) was a poorly thought out idea too. There are a cadre of drugstore makeup brands mid range and high end makeup brands that specialize in shade matching in multiple formulations. Her business would have been ground breaking like a decade ago just like her wardrobe. But we've moved beyond Fashion Faire (though NGL, their earth red lipstick was EVERYTHING). The field was saturated. Off the top of my head, cover girl has the queen collection, I think Maybelline also expanded shades. Black Up. IT cosmetics. Fenty. And a host of brands like clinique, Dior, and NARS have expanded shade ranges in multiple formulations. Gizelle partnering with target was a bad move because it sounds like they didn't do very much to promote it. I sure as hell never saw it in my target and it was probably on clearance in record time. If gizelle had been smart she would have taken a page from karens book and found a small makeup brand in its growth phase and become the face of the brand or developed a line of foundation for black women in conjunction with them.

I have respect for anyone who sees Andy Cohen and runs the other way.

Gizelle starting a lash line is almost as stupid as Wendy starting a candle line. Where is this even coming from? Gizelle is going to become the Phaedra Parks of Potomac.

LOL, I barely got Wendy's ass kicking remarks because it was bleeped out and closed captioning as basically a long row of asterisks. I would agree that resorting to threats of violence is a bridge too far and makes Wendy look out of control. But I still think she did a pretty great job reading gizelle for filth and putting Ashley in her place and dismissing robyn. Three against one (and four sometimes with mia) was very ugly dynamic. Especially when all of them are sitting there gaslighting her. And while I don't think anything of it, I absolutely think someone is going to point out that it was all light skinned women coming for Wendy and how bad those optics can be.
-
Up until this last episode I would have totally agreed with you about robyn. She was my favorite, because of her authenticity and willingness to be open. Mia is "fake authentic" IMO. Like telling everyone about clit surgery, but can't be honest about her age, her husband's age, her job or her business. I had to laugh because now Karen is of the opinion that gizelle owes her CHILDREN an apology. I guarantee those kids didn't care about that comment.

Growing too fast is a bigger mistake than growing too slowly IMO. Gizelle parlayed her popularity into a makeup brand and while she got a contract with Target, she would have give up total control on where they placed it, how they marketed it and if they really put any money into selling it. Now, AnyHue is NoHue, because its not carried anywhere to my knowledge. Had Gizelle taken a little more time and grown her brand, had she made a few tweaks, maybe worked with the shades, maybe done more with influencers and grown her business a little more in the garage stage she might have a solid business now. Instead she has nothing. Robyn is growing her business slowly, she gets it mentioned every season and she has more demand than supply. I didn't think TJ Maxx was the first line for any retailer. I also think that brick and mortar is dying a fast death, especially in the pandemic. I cannot imagine going into a macys for a ball cap. I think she'd be better off working with like amazon. Exactly this. I believe that this is what people call concern trolling. it was very clearly not anything from a genuine place of concern. I totally agree and think this applies both to Wendy's new "pop off" personality as well as her boobs. People said she was boring and talked too much about her degrees. Now she is talks in tee shirt catch phrases. I feel like she is about to tell someone its "wine o'clock" I think I saw shades of old Wendy tonight and I was here for it. Your comment reminds me of this episode of golden girls where Blanche comes back from a reunion devastated because everyone else had plastic surgery. She is excitedly naming all the things she is going to do, she is going to get her tummy tucked, her breasts lifted, her thighs thinned and as god is her witness! As she storms out of the room, the other women sit in silence until Sophia says "seems a shame to do all that work and keep the same hairstyle"

Today I learned that they have strippers at the Red Lobster. I almost always think that when Gizelle gets quiet its because she is DEEPLY bothered and someone threw a truth bomb at her. When Monique came at her with that binder, she just kinda sat there chewing the inside of her cheek because I think she knew there was a good chance that was Monique said was true and because Jamal is a toad, he didn't warn her about it. When it comes to Karen - an easy target - Gizelle can go ALL DAY LONG with her verbal sparring. But I think Gizelle gets quiet and tries to affect an air of being unbothered when she has been got so good that she cannot respond. And Wendy went straight for the jugular and read her for filth. You're out here trying to talk shit about people's marriages and how you got to do this and that to keep a fine ass man, all the while, you're settling for a man who is out there sleeping with anything in Baltimore with a warm hole and bringing that to your daughters. Wendy was right. If Gizelle wants to make a good relationship and a man the prize then Gizelle STAYS losing.

Wow, this episode felt extremely ugly. Between the ganging up on and subsequently gaslighting Wendy it was very icky. It gave me a bad taste in my mouth for Gizelle the entire way around, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth for Robyn. I used to always say that, when push came to shove, Robyn was her own person with her own thoughts and the ability to stand up to Gizelle. But her getting in with Gizelle to gang up on Wendy was ugly. And then for Ashley, Gizelle and Robyn to gang up on her at that table was ugly. Gizelle knows full well that the way Wendy received the message was how she meant it and there wasn't any "misinterpretation" because of Wendy's "shit" Gizelle could have had any part of that conversation in private with Wendy. I'm starting to see what people say about Gizelle just being miserable because she is coming off that way and SHE needs to own it and find some happiness. I had to laugh at Gizelle trying to school Robyn about business. Robyn's business is growing at a reasonable pace. When is the last time anyone saw AnyHue being sold anywhere? I guess Ashley showed up and earned her paycheck. She is so gross. But I'm proud of Wendy and I saw a little of the old Wendy last night. She read Gizelle for filth. She immediately sniffed out Ashleys faux concern trolling. She stood up, three against one and I think she got the better of each and every one of them. Robyn, at this point isn't worth the effort, but Wendy is right, she is desperate for a moment and I think she was just happy not to be the object of Gizelles scorn.

How neat that she still does that. I think the channels do try to branch out. Rick Santorum seems to enjoy being on CNN. -

I think its that tee shirt. Which gizelle (according to gizelle) has apologized for. Even Robyn side eyed gizelle for that tee shirt. I think Karen is more pressed about the t shirt because a) it was true, b) Karen had and had built her personality of being wealthy and the classy trophy wife of black bill gates and exposing the truth that it was a house of cards was very hard on Karens ego and c) it has to hurt for someone to kick you when you're down no matter who. Those feelings don't just die when someone says sorry. I think part of the reason why it hurt Karen is because it was and is absolutely true. And that's why I don't think she will ever admit that that is the problem. She still wants to sell the fantasy of being married to the black Bill gates. Rays dick was never integral to karens ego so it's a non factor, IMO. -

This is such a catch 22. Because I think she made a lot of these personality changes in response to the viewing audience saying she was boring. People aren't bored anymore. Be careful what you wish for. -

Look at Gizelle....then look at Jamal Then look at Gizelle.....then look at Jamal again Now look at Gizelle a third time.....and look at Jamal. And realize that this barely attractive man cheated on and publicly humiliated Gizelle on, what, at least seven occasions. At LEAST. You just KNOW that Jamal had her believing that everything he did was her fault. That she wasnt pretty enough, fun enough, cool enough, forgiving enough, she was too naggy, she didn't want to have sex enough, whatever. I'm quite sure Gizelle believes, and has counseled other women, that when a man cheats....the woman ALSO did something wrong. -

I think Robyn actually cares. With Gizelle, I think she cares.....and is also shady. Its like a 70% concern, 30% misery loves company, pot stirring. Because Gizelle is right. Wear whatever the hell you want, but Wendy's wardrobe and body have not been the only changes. Last season Wendy was able to laugh at herself and she was introspective and thoughtful. Last season Wendy was not yelling at people in t-shirt catchphrases. Anytime Wendy took someone on, she had them dead to rights. No one even really understands what Wendy was that upset at Mia over (I maintain that Wendy just doesn't like Mia because Mia is fake). What I didn't like about that conversation was Gizelle's need to ambush Wendy with it at a dinner table. I don't think Robyn was going to do that at all. Gizelle would have gotten way more juicy gossip out of Wendy had she and Robyn just taken her out for a lunch and asked her whats up. -

Sometimes I think this is all planned. Because how perfect was that opening for Karen to swoop in and pick up a new (and actually loyal) friend. Karen also needs to give up the ghost with her faux outrage over mentioning "death" and "Ray" in the same sentence. Karen is always doing the most. You know you ain't shit when Candace is the voice of reason. -

Wendy looked ridiculous. I almost laughed when she suggested that she had specifically curated that hooker look. Wear whatcha like. Dolly Parton famously said she fashioned her look after a hooker. But that wasn't even sexy hooker. You remember that scene in the original coming to America where arsenio hall plays this Maneater woman at the bar? Wendy reminds me of that. -

I felt the same way. Gizelle is looking really, really petty. I think robyn saw it. Not so much when it was directed at her, but when gizelle was confronting Wendy. I could tell robyn was trying to walk it back and soften the blow. FWIW the arguments from Wendy and Mia are very 1992 to me "can a woman have it all?????" "Can I bring home the bacon and fry it in the pan?" "Can I be sexy and smart???" -

I paid Amazon prime $1.99 for this episode and I feel a deserve a $0.75 refund for all the FF of Ashley and Michael's scenes. I'd ask for a dollar back but the preview suggesting that Ashley is finally told to get the hell out for being messy was worth something. -
I will always maintain that the true villain is her "stylist friend" who agreed to do those extensions which are criminal in their own right. Anyone who even liked Lisa would have told her to simply have the wig styled to her head and attached. It's cheaper and easier. Lisas buzzcut would have allowed the wig to lay flat and look more natural.

Anissa is a natural born fool headed to chapter 7 bankruptcy over a toothless meth addict. Why on gods green earth would you ever hand a felonious meth addict who twice ghosted you your credit cards? While you are out working TWO JOBS?

Two years and four inmates from now. I'd bet good money that Daonte will be right back on a prison pal website trying to buy another blonde trophy girlfriend with holes he can stretch out.

I always feel like those tax bills come from an attempt to hide income. Jamal works with a church and IIRC, had "charities" if this was done, even to hide SOME money that should have been taxable income you don't just owe it back. You owe, taxes, penalties and interest. So now you're rolling with an 800k bill. -
