  1. Myrla happily describes herself as a whiner. She also says that Gil should be taking notes on the things she does and doesn't enjoy so he can adapt. Hey Myrla, What if it turns out Gil doesn't enjoy being married to a whiner. Are you going to adapt to that?
  2. Finally getting around to watching this episode. I thought Sonja looked adorable in pigtails!
  3. On June 23, Clara posted a video of "save the date" cards for their NYE vow renewals on TikTok, along with decorations she had been making for the event. So pretty recently she seemed to think they had a future. RED is an album of songs about bad breakups. Clara titled her post "so casually cruel in the name of being honest". I'm not sure if that's a lyric from one of the songs. It really seems to me that something pretty dramatic happened that caused a sudden end to their marriage, and it seems like Clara was blindsided by it.
  4. This really makes me sad. A Bald and Beautiful podcast (on youtube) with Clara and Ryan was just released today and they seemed happy. It was apparently recorded sometime after the 4th of July. Clara posted the Taylor Swift song "Tolerate It" in her Instagram stories which may reveal some insight into what happened. She has unfollowed Ryan on Instagram and deleted all pictures of them together (Ryan has not). I have a feeling this was Ryan's decision or maybe he finally admitted he never really fell in love with her which she said was her biggest fear. I think he tried because he took the marriage and his commitment to her seriously, but never really fell in love with her.
  5. I agree. I think Ryan is a lot more fun in real life than how he was shown on MAFS.
  6. Can someone please start a Go Fund Me to buy Janelle a tripod or selfie stick.
  7. Multiple people on the Reddit MAFS board and in MAFSfan Instagram comments have said that they searched the public records for Fulton County (where Erik lives) and found no record of him having a DUI. It's pretty clear that Chris is still holding a grudge against Erik and Virginia.
  8. You are correct. There is a posting on the Laurel Mercantile blog about Miss Dot's cake and it quotes Miss Dot saying, "When I first worked for Miss Bunny, I'd do a lot of her baking for her because she was an older lady". Here's a link to the story: https://www.laurelmercantile.com/blogs/journal/miss-dots-pound-cake-the-secret-ingredient
  9. I liked the Game House too, but I think they could have saved money by having the 3 season porch just be a deck. The sunroom was great, but the unheated section with the dining table Scott called the "outdoor dining" space. I know that the windows could be fully opened, but really you're still inside. If I rented a cabin for a week, I would want a deck or patio with lounge chairs and a true outdoor dining area.
  10. I watched it. It was OK. They had top 5 people/couples in a bunch of categories. Two surprising things to me: 1. Among the "top 5 couples destined to stay together" was Jephte and Shawniece. WTF? 2. They included AJ as being in the top 5 jerks in his season (I can't remember the exact category name.) I didn't watch that season, so have only seen AJ and Stephanie on Couples Cam, and he seems like a nice guy. What was the story with him? Did he turnover a new leaf during the season or was he a jerk all the way through?
  11. She actually did. They had a second wedding on a Caribbean island that MAFS filmed. I think it was part of the series that followed Doug & Jamie and Jason & Courtney through their first couple of years of marriage. At the time TLC had launched a series with a guy who was a wedding planner and they had him come down to the island and coordinate the wedding which was hilarious because it was just their immediate family members who could make it so like 10 guests. I remember Jamie's mother attended so there was lots of drama with Jamie confronting her about how she had been in and out of Jamie and her siblings lives over the years, I believe because of addiction issues and poor choices in men.
  12. I guess I am also cold-hearted, because Jaime pleading for Maria to stay annoyed me. I mean, is Jaime not familiar with the rules of Top Chef? Someone has to leave each week until they get down to one winner. That's it, that's the show they signed up for. Many great chefs are eliminated every season because only one person can win. If Jaime was so convinced that Maria deserved to stay, she should have volunteered to leave in her place. If she wasn't willing to do that, IMO, she had no business begging for Maria to stay. Maria lost the 5-chef round, it would have been unfair to Dawn, Shota and Gabe if they would have to compete in a 5-chef round again next week.
  13. I've started muting the TV when she goes off on one of her hissy fits. It makes the show much more tolerable.
  14. Correction to Janelle's post, she should have said: "I still buy, prepare, and eat too much."
  15. In Wetumpka, the pavilion area they built was great. It would be a nice venue for small weddings, family reunions, company picnics, etc. But I don't understand the logic of having a weekly farmer's market there, across the river from downtown. It would seem like you'd want the farmer's market downtown, in the hopes that people who come to the market also shop in the stores. I wonder if the people who got home renovations get to keep the furniture? I know that in Hometown they don't, except for what Ben builds for them. In Wetumpka, since the renovations are free, I wonder if it includes the furniture.
  16. What the heck is inflammation weight anyway? Does she mean water weight?
  17. I thought the Detroit Pride house was nice. Most of the walls were white with just a couple of accent walls that could easily be painted over. Removing the records would be a bit of a pain, along with patching the wall, but overall not a lot of work to remove Keith's decor if a buyer didn't like it. The Weird House where they color blocked the main floor was horrible. The living room could be painted over but I can't imagine that kitchen was to many people's taste and would be a lot of work to redo. I didn't mind the lattice and flowers in the bathroom. I think you can go bold in a small room like that. I have given up taping when I paint because no matter what kind of tape I use, it always, always has some paint seepage beneath. I wondered how the guys managed to get clean lines taping the lattice strips. But when they were showing to potential buyers you could see lots of places where the paint had seeped under the tape. It surprised me that they didn't appear to make any attempt to touch up those spots. As a buyer it would make me wonder about the workmanship of the flippers when they didn't even bother to clean that up. I think these guys would be better off if they let their realtor, Shea, have input on the designs. She is always dressed very stylishly so I think would have much better design ideas than Keith.
  18. As a viewer I want Leah to stop talking about sex because it is boring. Leah's desire to shock the viewer is tedious and boring. Ooh, look at me talking about sex. Yeah, that's fun when you're 15.
  19. I really get the impression that Eboni is finding herself liking Ramona. As inappropriate as Ramona can be, she really is a very sensible and stable person. Sonja has obviously been a mess for years. Luann has made some very bad decisions including marrying Tom and her drunken encounter with police. As much as Ramona would like to find a man, she is very self sufficient and able to take care of herself. I think she's very responsible with her money. I get the same feeling about Eboni, that she is sensible and self sufficient, so is feeling a connection with Ramona. This week's episode may prove me wrong, but that's the vibe I get between them so far.
  20. I thought the same thing. Sitting at a bar you can really only have a conversation with one other person. Most of the tables on the patio were also only for two. The restaurant seems more like a place families would go, so it would have been more practical to have tables for four or more.
  21. It's not. It's only important to Haley that she convince everyone that she worked so, so hard to make the marriage work. She gave it her all and learned so much about herself. She's very deep, you know; not at all superficial. Clearly it was Jake's fault the marriage didn't work. He didn't even learn anything about himself! Sorry, Haley, we're on to you. You took one look at Jake, his slogan t-shirts and 80's house and were turned off. I mean, I get it. Jake wouldn't be my cup of tea either. They just weren't right for each other and no amount of "work" was going to change that. I don't understand why she can't admit that instead of acting like she worked hard at the relationship. We all know she didn't work at it at all.
  22. On "Hoarders" the show pays for the hoarders to have after care with a psychologist. I feel like the show should offer after care to Paige. She's got some issues to deal with. Chris is messed up too. But I think what he needs is a good ass-kicking by the next person he tries to gaslight.
  23. I agree, but I think it's a requirement for being a Real Housewife. You've got to bring the drama if you want to keep your job.
  24. If Alyssa doesn't want people to think she's a snob, she may want to reconsider the opening to her youtube videos. The girls are cute, but Alyssa in a long gown spinning in a field is a bit pretentious. I watched the video when Katie was visiting to help with the new house. I haven't watched BUB for a couple of years but, wow, grown-up Katie is gorgeous.
  25. My recollection from the show is that Hunter was always good with the littlest kids in the family. I don't know what kind of nursing he intends to focus on, but I think he'd be a great pediatric nurse.
