  1. I have a question about the locations. Beth meets Janice on the subway near London and they supposedly have coffee several times according to Beth in a later episode. But Grieff is in the US and Beth visits him and then flies to London? What am I missing?
  2. I get the feeling most of his net worth is in his life insurance policy.
  3. They may have said it but it would never ever happen in the real world. Employees would be helping themselves if that were the case.
  4. I liked the ending with one exception. Why did Charlie say goodbye to Raf and then just leave him there? I was sure he was going to walk into the flames with Kirstie and Raf.
  5. It's hard to get past how badly the laundering by preloading the drop boxes was executed. Let's put the money laundering on film by doing it in a room that would be full of cameras covering every inch. Maybe it could have been done by slipping money in as the boxes were loaded or unloaded from the cages but it would have to have been done in smaller amounts.
  6. I think Jessica can only be honest when she is drunk. Luckily she is drunk a lot.
  7. I just want to know how much the cup company paid to have their whole product line featured in this show.
  8. I think the bubble girl was supposed to mirror Charlie. She was going to live for a time even if the procedure didn't take. I think we are supposed to ignore the recovery time aspect. Am I the only one who immediately thought of John Travolta riding the horse to Paul William's "What would they Say" as she unzipped the bubble door?
  9. But hey, at least he can hope the book sales pay for his attorney. The book is titled Hate Me Now, Love Me Later. (Might I suggest changing the title to Hate Me Now, Love Me In Prison?) "Earlier this month, Brown announced the title of his forthcoming book. My book cover has been finalized! Stay tuned for release date! pic.twitter.com/pE1RGdKn1s — Coach Jason Brown (@TheRealCoach_JB) June 14, 2019"
  10. "Jason Brown, the former Independence Community College football coach, is facing eight felony counts for allegedly stealing the identity of a lawyer in an attempt to silence local newspapers. Brown, who gained notoriety for being featured on the Netflix documentary series “Last Chance U,” is charged with four counts of blackmail, four counts of identity theft, all felonies, as well as two counts of criminal false communication, both misdemeanors. The Montgomery County Attorney’s Office filed charges Friday." http://www.parsonssun.com/sports/article_1cb23fe8-9a0b-11e9-a18f-2769e5bc1d9e.html
  11. It's hard to be Dream U when you are not in fact a university. It is hard to believe that they had about 2 total scholarships. The majority of the football players can't afford it. I assumed they were almost all on scholarship. The throwing money at football makes sense if the majority of paying students are in fact football players. I think it's wrong and they are really using the players but now the colleges desire to try to become relevant in the football world makes sense. The interview with the Garden City coach in the last episode was bizarre. So now he and coach B. are best friends and he has great respect for him? Wow. I do hope they can have some success now. The other coaches seem like good people. I am now happy that I will never hear about coach B. again. I wonder if Last Chance U will be filming there again? If not, the school is going to lose a bunch of sponsor money. The ring company and Adidas will bail as soon as the cameras are off.
  12. It is enjoyable to see coach B lose. Such an unlikable guy. As coaches say, you recruit your own problems. Everyone but the self proclaimed brilliant coach knew how the Malik situation would turn out. So Ms P. has shirts with her face and saying now. TV changes everything. The female trainer letting the receiver back in after obviously being concussed and out cold right in front of her is unforgivable. He couldn't squeeze her hand when asked and then a quick eye check and his word that he is fine is not good enough to let him back in. The money spent on athletics in these community colleges is ridiculous. Having teams is fine but cutting the music programs that will actually benefit the community and local students to instead spend 600k on a practice field for a bunch of hired guns makes zero sense.
  13. One of the world's great mysteries solved. So that is what DJs do when they are just playing full songs and act like they are busy.
  14. Only early in season 2 so I haven't read a lot of the posts but I am really enjoying this series. Such a great cast and the cold opens always make me laugh.
  15. I was also wondering about how the duress code is kept. If all the bridge crew knows or it is written documentation? It could defeat the purpose as was done here. You would think there would be a code that would only be verbally shared among captains and admirals. And I had to look to see if it is an actual military term and it apparently is Navy slang: "13 button salute: When a sailor in dress pants pulls down on the top two corners and all 13 buttons come unbuttoned at once, usually done just before sex."
  16. Hey Yaphit, how about when you break into the armory you return with more than one weapon.
  17. I'm up to season 5 on Hulu. I liked the show on the original run and am enjoying it again. It has a nice mix of the goofy slapstick and the care the main characters have for each other. I remembered the slapstick but had forgotten the moments like when Balki talks about never finding love after being dumped by his night school classmate or when his grandmother dies. I just watched the dentist episode and was soooooo hoping the dentist would be Tim Conway. It was not to be, but they did use the Novocaine shot to the arm bit that he did in his skit on Carol Burnett.
  18. How the heck did George buy a car on Thanksgiving?
  19. Ask us to ask you how your day is going. Serial killer shopping spree was funnier than it should have been. Announcement: I have also lost a pen but mine is black ink with a cap, which is also lost. Thanks
  20. Swastika tennis player. So wrong. Is it ok that I laughed? Was just waiting for Lonnie's quirk and they didn't disappoint. Sue Heck turned up to 11 is really annoying.
  21. I would bet that Margarethe dies in a car "accident". No way she goes home and never sees her husband again without contacting the German authorities. What kind of job wouldn't let her visit other than something on a ship or oil rig? She had to know it was something illegal with the coded messages. Gus should have gone with all single guys on the crew. So much for making Werner's death look like a work accident. No body or one with a bullet hole in the back its head is going to be kind of hard to explain. Seeing Gale so excited to be a meth cook is weird...but that look Gus gave him should have told him that cooking meth isn't all fun and games.
  22. I really really really could have done without the penis needle....in fact I had to fast forward through those scenes.
  23. That was a pretty good championship. Too bad Minotaur's weapon went down early. Did we really need to see Tombstone vs a sacrificial lamb in an exhibition? A rumble would have been more fun, although the fist getting stuck in the wall was pretty cool. I have just started watching Battlebots Resurrection online and it is an interesting look behind the scenes at the repairs and testing. They mention that it is a 2 week tournament. It is also cool to see how the teams are always willing to help other teams with parts/repairs or even helping to make parts.
  24. As mentioned by other people, I also suspect Werner was talking in code with his wife. I would guess she would have to come to him as Mike must have searched his possessions and removed identification and passport. My first thought was that she would meet him at the strip club bar as that would be the only place that he knew of...maybe from a napkin with the address on it. How he gets to/finds the bar without any money is another matter.
  25. I was not a regular viewer of the show on ABC but have caught episodes in syndication. Something was different (and not just the replacement actors). Not a fan of the new Mandy. And when they were talking about what shows have ever switched network...I knew of some right away but the list is even longer than I expected. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_television_series_that_changed_networks
