  1. Since Toni is going to be on GMA3 which also has Dr Jen, maybe she will shed some light on this type of cancer - that kills at 50... Toni is scheduled to appear on Tamron Hall tomorrow Tuesday March 29. Tamron did say in the intro that Toni is going to talk about the heartbreaking loss and their bond.🍿
  2. Just had a vision of an old Cake Boss episode that popped in my head... It was a pizza - so big that they had to carry it though a storefront window.
  3. To only be 50 was a shock... It is getting pretty sad to hear those we have seen come through on the years on TC forever gone...
  4. RE: the biscuits - I like the challenge because it is sometimes the simple and/or the regional dishes/dish, under a time clock, that trips people up and they forget the basics. And the chef contestants tend to have the first claim mantra " I don't bake", and some/most are so high on the career ladder, they have gotten rusty on the small stuff. Well, lets keep it simple and make a single biscuit and see what happens (ie one person tries to do a "save" and puts in the deep fryer). I kinda see it as if they were in like New Orléans and asked to make Beignets, you're in new England make chowder, you're in Cincinnati - make chili, and since by looking at my poster name - if you're in GA - do a little something with peaches. I think there was an past QF with wylie back in the day where they had to make a egg dish. Its almost like the quick fire-relay that Tom does where each person does precision cuts - testing the simple. I also like the EC. I think it was good learning and cooking experience - pay attention to visual details.
  5. what exactly is broken rice ??🤔 I have a feeling that is the way I eat rice...
  6. Finally watched in full. I kinda liked the episode. I guess they didn't have any issue with construction or material delays. It was nice to see moments where Molly was more a grown woman and not so cutesy-cheesy. I do agree a house built in 1964 wouldn't be laid out the way I would want a house in 2020-2022 for a growing family -its the little and big things like the bigger kids tub. Glad they poured a basement - a must for the midwest not to mention storage. I do see the New generation of pioneer woman 2.0. any one have any intel on the renvo budget ? Conceiving a baby in the in-laws house.. wow... I know they are married but whoa...just what is the sqft of that house; all of the bedrooms on top of each other ? 🤣 How does one clean a pizza oven ?
  7. Question - Has David physically presented himself this season? Have we seen him live- in an active, current, scene? Flashbacks/TH don't count. I think I missed a couple of episodes - so I want to be fair about accounting for his attendance. I'm beginning to think he is just a name dropped, to add/create a story line , to give Delores something else to say..
  8. does that lip treatment wear off on its own or do you have to go back get something to "deflate" ?
  9. HUH ?? David wants Delores' mom to stay with him post-hospital?? Did he just suddenly retire or plan to hire a nurse? And Delores siblings didn't go off on him?? Mine would have (hopefully calmly without profanity) told him "no thank you - we got this - this is OUR mom"..
  10. wow...her book has 4.5/5 stars on amazon... reading the reviews ( in my spare time)..
  11. I wonder can the ex get some kind of gag order. This historical news coming out again can only hurt the kids -who are barely in their teens. He can have his new "career" coin by being on the show (which hopefully he is paying good child support) but keep the kids and the situation of his mouth on a reality show.
  12. RE: the renvo/building episode - any cooking happen or was it all about the house ?
  13. Newer (or remodeled) houses do come larger now. 3 bedroom house are a little hard to sell in certain areas. Depending on how a house is laid out, basement/no basement and/or attached/non attached garage (which follows how many cars), 1300 might just not do it. And if you want some of more modern gadets - like in-wall double ovens, larger showers, double bathroom sinks, island in kitchen, a true office, closet/storage space, a place to hang a 80-inch flat screen, and all of the bedrooms so not close to each other, I can see the sqft going larger in a hurry. And they have the land (which is probably paid for) - most stop building b/c the municipality (or HOA) kinda controls the lot size and perhaps the house size. I guess I can see them extending their family - ie more offspring on the way. They are young/somewhat newly married and just kinda getting started. Kiddoes have a big farm to play on and eventually learn to work, and they will have each other.. I get the point that there might be a time where siblings don't want to share a room. I truly understand after shutdown how/why immediate family does not want to be in a room with a someone all-of-the-time. Also - they do - well mainly I guess its Nick - seem to have a large extended family/friends-of-family, so I can see the need for a decent size dining and or family room. Her family is out of town but close enough to visit - so I understand why not have a guest bedroom/bath. With all that said - I do also get why someone would want to live in an tiny house. Everything you need within 2-3 steps. So just how large is this new house ? Did they beat out pioneer woman's lodge/house ?
  14. Yes. I caught it for the 1st time about 2 weeks ago. One of her dishes from that episode is on my to-do list. What was impressed me more -really was learning about the history of the area she was cooking about the the people she was serving the meal for. https://www.foodnetwork.com/shows/delicious-miss-brown/episodes/mosquito-beach-dinner That is what I originally - ages ago - like PW for, as I knew absolutely nothing about cattle-ranching, and that part of the country - its land, agriculture, farm-to-table, food likes, regional dishes etc. There were a few episodes I enjoyed hearing Ladd and the other ranchers talk about their work, more so than the food she cooked. RE: southern cooking (which also applies to other regional homegrown generational dishes) - yes, I agree even though traditionally it was made a certain way with certain products, today we have more options , healthier options, available. The heavy salting of pasta water that the FN cooks preach - I just can't get into. I can't remember who I was watching but they insisted on using Vitamin D whole milk, which I refuse to buy; Salt was the main (and sometimes only) flavoring spice and frying was the way to go. It's time to move into an better healthier direction.
  15. I actually bake mine now - in the name of trying to reduce eating something else fried. But yes - in restaurants they tend to fry them. I use buttermilk and panko breadcrumbs. I only make them when green tomatoes are in season and I can find them in the store and/or a few home gardeners share a small portion of their crops with me, but I think the breading stays on. maybe the spray also helps them stay crunchy. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/baked-fried-green-tomatoes-5312503
  16. huh ?? Toxic green tomatoes? Toxic - like it can cause severe illness and/or death ?? I can't think of any vegetable or fruit that is toxic... https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/fried_green_tomatoes/
  17. I never understood why Erin and Hank didn't continue to see each other . John and Olivia probably would have let her get married -which I still think she should have gotten married as soon as she graduated, as she seem to run hot for men. Breaking it off b/c of Corabeth's fantasies, was a little much. It was a shame she couldn't get the tingles for Ike. Elizabeth and Amiee were too old to be in a bathing tub together. No tween friend is that close.
  18. And if that kicker has to quickly defend a lineman (for what ever bad play that probably shouldn't have happened..) .... ouchy ! Just how far, in distance is the new county from where they used to live ?
  19. Yes - I will stipulate that there are current NFL players who are under 6 ft, who have risen to the professional level going back to excelling in college, high school, middle school, and the rec leagues.
  20. right... just trying to see where they would fit in on this list.. unless mother nature really kicks in.. and a resume to back up the football accolades https://247sports.com/Season/2021-Football/CompositeRecruitRankings/?InstitutionGroup=Highschool&State=NJ
  21. probably working on raising that college tuition. I wonder how is she doing with soccer - or was it lacrosse? I guess being older now she can contractually say what is she is and is not going to do. Hopefully she stays sweet and quiet not get in grown folks business like her big sister. It was cute to see her and Gia interact.
  22. So they are living in the house that they thew rocks at last week.. and living there while doing a full remodel ? I felt sorry for Antonia too. and the scene right before made it sound like they moved to give the sons a chance to play football in HS - which I guess might have a more competitive team/district/school. Unless her sons have a major growth spurt - I don't see them being top tier state HS football players - Joe not that tall himself. Just hope its not a case of trying to be a big fish in a small pond... What's also sad the Gorgas and esp Mellissa has the time and means to take her back to her old high school for a couple of years, for her to finish out - just petition the school board and pay the out of district fees. Not to mention the Antonia is probably driving. I do hope Melissa takes the time to talk to her, and not at her. She does seem more down than usual - with the combination of covid, her knee injury, the lost of tumbling (another set of friends) , her HS, and the new girl of parents who are on TV, that is alot to put on a teen. If it is a money issue - did they pull her b/c they couldn't swing competitive gym fees? How come Antonia' sport isn't as important as the boys football? And Melissa is not telling us the whole story - she and her mom moved all the way to FL to get away from her dad , because he cheated ? If so, Melissa should be the 1st one to understand about stability. Next week the preview showed Tre cleaning out - prepping for the move. Anther set of teens moving for no real reason. Unless Malania has mellowed - that's another teen who doesn't do well with change. Tre's home might be scary ugly - but its home and the only home the girls knew. At least that is one credit we can give Juicy .
  23. why is david with Delores mom in the hospital? I thought his specially was ob-gyn, which is the last type of dr she needs...
  24. How long has Jen been married to Bill ? She just now figured the man can't, won't or doesn't show emotion ? Makes a person wonder what was romance like when they first started dating..😴
