So the bullshit company working with Jenelle that I DMed didn’t even bother to reply, what a great company with amazing customer service! They must’ve gotten a lot of hate and/or they know they can’t defend using her to promote so they don’t even try. Look at all the more legit companies who’ve stopped working with her and issued statements and actually replied to people’s concerns...what a shock a scammy diet company doesn’t care.

I think Jenelle’s idea of love is so fucked up that she thinks David loves her the most and that their relationship really is better than any other she’s had. She’s never had to deal with him “talking to other girls” like she had such a problem with Kieffer, Nathan, etc doing. Because David never lets her out of his sight which translates to him never being out of her sight. David is the first guy she’s been with who seemingly doesn’t want anything to do with anyone else but Jenelle and their fucked up household. She probably loves that and thinks it means he’s super devoted to her. She doesn’t understand what he is doing or his reasons for it, she just sees it as dedication to his family and her. That probably helps her forgive him when he acts overtly abusive - she’s been in many physically abusive relationships in the past, this one probably seems better than all of those because of his supposed dedication to their family. She doesn’t see that the control he is able to exert on them all is what is truly driving him, not love. I don’t think Jenelle is even close to being ready to actually leave this relationship. She thinks this is love. I fully believe she’s a sociopath as well and they don’t understand actual love so that probably adds to her issues around this.

I could see that going either way - David probably likes places like Idaho so Jenelle does too now. They’re so country and outdoorsy. *eye roll* I could see David as someone who hates big cities - with all them liberals and gays and feminists - oh my! And I’m assuming even though he won’t be filmed David would go with. I wonder how often they’ve already allowed him to sit and glare just off camera while they’re filming, to appease Jenelle, even though he’s not supposed to be around.

@Christina87 You’re referring to them as “see through leggings” etc. so I took that as not liking them, I guess I was wrong in that thought. I’m definitely not defending Chelsea like she’s my sister and I snark her too. It’s just some viewers seem to hate her and everything she does for no reason. We don’t know where she got the leggings or what, if anything, she paid for them. You’re deciding the purchase was whimsical, what she paid for them and also that she makes only $300k a year as if those are all known facts and not just your opinion. We don’t actually know any of those things. She may make $300k from the show but we have no idea what she makes from other deals. Like I mentioned before, she and most other reality tv people and even people who aren’t famous, make a lot of money on instagram, it’s a huge thing now. Plus, Cole has a regular job and salary plus his own TM money too. They make way over $300k, imo. I’m personally not really one to talk about the cast’s money running out, aside from the ones extremely stupid with money (Amber, especially), because I don’t think it’s going to be a problem for the rest of them for a long while. I think Leah probably also has enough money to buy a pair of $100 pants if she wants. She has lots of instagram clout too. She probably also gets plenty of things free from sponsors, though. As much as I hate to admit it Jenelle will probably even be fine for awhile after the show ends thanks to social media money. Though she has to get less offers and probably slimier offers than the rest. Also, I live in a climate even colder than South Dakota (it’s -15 right now, actual temp) and I still wear things like Chelsea is wearing or whatever else I want to that could be seen as impractical for the weather. I’m not hanging out outside for long so it doesn’t really matter and Chelsea was going to be in a concert venue, which actually gets hot due to all the people. I don’t see anyone saying she’s frugal or definitely set for life because we don’t know those things but merely suggesting them as a possibility. You seem to think it’s not possible, I think it is. Okay.

I agree. A pair of Levi’s is $100. Meanwhile Gucci has jeans for $1,599. And pants are pants so I don’t see much of a difference in them being leggings vs jeans. It seems like you don’t think they’re worth the price because you don’t personally like the style of the pants. Otherwise why would it be any different if they were different pants for the same price? And one could argue that these are “work clothes” for Chelsea because her “job” is basically to be on TM and be a social media “influencer” so anything she wears are “work clothes” and it’s not as if she needs actual professional work clothes. Chelsea likes the pants so they’re worth it to her. Maybe they’re the most comfortable things ever. And she most likely got them for free while making money by posting a picture wearing them so it’s win-win for her. Old Navy has dresses for more than $80. It’s all relative.

Like @lovesnark said I’m sure Randy has helped her invest it well. I also think a lot more of the money these girls make comes from social media than people think. She’s making way more money off Instagram than she is from the show, imo. And she’ll be able to do that for awhile even after the show ends. She still has millions of followers and “the kids” care more about social media than even the show. She’ll be fine. I dunno if these are $98 leggings but either way, $98 isn’t even that crazy when you’re making hundreds of thousands a year. She’s seemingly not blowing it on nearly the stupid crap that the others are, imo. Plus, Cole also has a regular job and also makes TM money. They basically did all that in their recent drunken instagram live and it didn’t result in Barb “handing Jace over.” Despite all the mistakes she’s making I don’t think that’s going to happen. I was listening to a podcast about an abused woman and her sister said she started blindly supporting her sister and her relationship so she could stay close with her because she realized if she didn’t do that her sister would be cut off even more from any support should she choose to leave the relationship. Basically she was saying that by being there it gave her sister strength knowing she had someone to turn to and that eventually led to her sister being able to leave the relationship because she knew she had somewhere to go and someone to help her when everyone else in her life was cut off. I really hope that’s what Barb is trying to do with this sharp left into “friendship” with Jenelle. There are definitely better ways to go about it all, however. I don’t want to believe Barb just felt like getting drunk with Jenelle and throwing her support for their relationship unless there’s a bigger end game reason for doing so that isn’t just about pleasing Jenelle.

It’s possible because Andrew is so dumb but if you ask 100 people what “USC” is I bet 100 of them think of the one in California. It’s all that comes up on google when you type USC. University of South Carolina is usually abbreviated to UofSC, but again, Andrew is dumb so who knows. For either school - pics or it didn’t happen. Lol

Andrew said that he’s “currently working on his Master of Fine Arts in filming at Florida State College” in 2012. But it doesn’t prove he has any degree at all and since he wouldn’t be going for his masters without already having a BA, it’s pretty suspect that he claimed to be going for his masters at that time. Plus, notice he’s never mentioned earning a BA, even now, let alone talking about this masters he supposedly was going for years ago. We know Leah barely attended college for any length of time though I’m sure she could post an ID and claim some shit about her time there too. It also proves nothing about him attending USC. She definitely inherited Jenelle’s dead eyes.... mommy’s little sociopath? 😬 I know that’s kinda low because she’s so young but her parents are Jenelle and David and there is likely a genetic component to sociopathy. Throw in the environmental factors she’s experiencing and this kid might end up being scary as hell. Imagine the potential evil that is Jenelle and David’s combined genes. When I said I “didn’t see this coming” I meant Barb suddenly becoming jovial drinking buddies with Jenelle and Instagramming it all live for everyone to witness. I have supported Barb and I still am somewhat understanding of her position even now. I do agree with parts of your post but Barb was never in a position to keep Jace away from Jenelle. I’m not sure how someone can do more than “the best they can,” which is what I thought Barb was doing. My biggest problem is the discovery that she’s clearly and obviously NOT doing “the best she can” and that’s the issue to me. Suddenly siding with David and Jenelle and getting wasted and acting like an idiot with her grandchild’s abusers is far from her best. I think if she was actually doing her best, as she seemed to be trying to do in the past, Jace would have a shot at a decent life. I’m not sure I agree that Barb “volunteered” - there was no one else to do the job. The only person she was telling to “step aside” was Jenelle. BARB had the foresight to realize that Jenelle wasn’t taking proper care of Jace and it was dangerous so she stepped in and got her to sign over custody - no one was taking custody from Jenelle but Barb. If this was a situation where Jace was being removed from Jenelle’s custody anyway and Barb jumped in and offered herself up as guardian that would be a different scenario but that wasn’t it at all. No one else would’ve gotten involved with Jenelle’s care of Jace at that point and they would not have until Jace had been neglected or harmed in Jenelle’s care already. Barb prevented that from happening by stepping in early. And I really can’t co-sign that Jace would’ve been better off in foster care. If Barb continues down this path I can start to see an argument for it but most foster systems would be more harmful. And it’s not like he would’ve been placed for immediate adoption as an infant and that would be it, happily ever after with a new family like Carly. No, there would be a long, long period of Jace going in and out of the foster system and various temporary homes and periods of living in whatever chaos Jenelle was living in at the time until Jenelle’s rights were eventually terminated. But Jenelle’s parental rights were not terminated, she willingly gave up custody which is why Barb obtained it so easily. Up until recently I think Barb made the only real choice that gave Jace much hope. She’s obviously got her own issues, as do most people, which makes them imperfect parents. Everything you said is what would be ideal but unfortunately that’s not the way it works out for lots of kids. I’m truly scared to imagine Jace’s early life with Jenelle. It would’ve been worse than what we’ve seen Kaiser go through because Kaiser was after the heroin, Courtland, Gary and who knows what else and Jace would’ve been there for all of it. Surely his life with Barb has been better than that, despite other issues with Barb’s parenting. I fully agree that she needs to choose Jace above herself AND Jenelle and that she’s not doing that. This. Barb’s choices were to take over custody of Jace or stand by and let Jenelle “care for” him. Barb has never had the option to place him for adoption or to prevent Jenelle from seeing him. It’s the dumbest fucking question and goes to show how ignorant and or unintelligent her “fans” are. Or, scarier yet, how young and influenced they possibly are by Jenelle.

Briana, Roxanne and Brittany all also appeared on Family Therapy, or some similarly titled reality show. I don’t know why but I feel like I remember that they were paid around $50,000 for that? Plus, whatever earnings she got from 16 and Pregnant and TM3. I don’t think there’s much possibility Briana even qualified for assistance. I also think they’d possibly be required to get a larger place if the government was involved in their housing expenses - it seems Briana shares a room with Stella and Nova. In the past I’ve had friends get housing help and they had to have a bedroom for each kid legally. Didn’t she even say she works OVER 40 hours a week?

@Adiba I’m just saying it’s pretty simple to just say yes when someone offers you a part on a reality tv show and a bunch of money when you’re an ignorant, broke pregnant teen with no insight about life and the long term consequences of your decisions. I agree with others that there’s a difference between choosing to do so at say, 17, than as an established adult of 27, so I do look at people like Lauren, who choose to insert themselves into the show at this point and who was overjoyed to give interviews and shit before we ever even saw her on the actual show, as more of famewhores than the original cast who had no idea what they were signing up for in the beginning. You have a point about them choosing to re-sign now, however. I think the original casts have varying degrees of famewhores among them too - especially Tyler. But I don’t think they’re ALL famewhores. Corey certainly doesn’t seem like one, for instance.

MTV was filming her brother “Bubby” for a show called “Engaged and Underage” (barf) and saw all the dramatics between Amber and Gary and Amber’s pregnancy and asked them to do 16 and Pregnant. I know Maci’s mom sent her the info about the show when she was looking for modeling jobs for pregnant teens (the fuck?) or something and that’s when Maci applied but I have no idea how the others were cast. It’s possible more of them were actually “recruited” like Amber was. Agreed. And Adam actually signed away all parental rights to Paislee recently and she has been adopted by her step father. If only he’d do the same for Aubree and quit jerking her around!

I don’t think he ever cared about being there for Stella at all. Briana lent Luis the money to come and he can pay her back with the money he gets from mtv for appearing on the show..I’m assuming that’s what she told him. She only invited him for the drama, imo. Why the hell else would she suddenly want his absentee ass there for Stella’s 1st birthday? The pictures? There’s actual footage showing it’s all a fraud anyway so what’s the point? That’s why I assume it was all for the show. And she wins either way -drama if he comes and drama if he doesn’t because she can then freak out and talk about how horrible he is and how long suffering Briana is “wit dis guuuyyyy.” Briana wants to stay on tv. You’d think someone who would go through multiple elective plastic surgeries more than once would be somewhat into their appearance and like, wash before they are filmed for a tv show, or something. I’d definitely call and make sure they’re aware of what happened so it doesn’t happen again but mistakes happen, especially on the first day. I didn’t like how someone like Leah, who has made a million mistakes herself, made such a big deal out of it. People are human and the important thing is that the willchair would be there for Ali in the end anyway, despite the inconvenience on Leah. Yeah, Gracie is telling Ali she likes being away from her, telling Addie that Addie’s going to get in trouble at school and that Gracie won’t be there to help her when Addie “has drama” and meanwhile Ali is saying she misses Gracie when she doesn’t see her all day and that she will miss Addie and loves her, it’s quite the contrast between Gracie and Ali!

I missed the part where Barb joked about killing Kailyn. Yikes. Classy. Not trying to side with Kailyn but that’s really fucked up and kinda takes on a more sinister meaning when it’s coming from someone with ties to David, who I fully believe is capable of murder. I’m not saying Barbara really wants Kailyn dead or would actually go there but coming from the newly buddy-buddy mother in law of someone who threatens people all time it seems a little more serious than coming from say, Catelynn, or something.
