Not even 10 minutes into the episode and I'm so annoyed by the newbies. Sadly, not surprised.

Did Thea just say, "They're not going to let anything happen to Laurel"? Please tell me I mis-heard. NOT LAUREL!

I still say they should have Rene call Dinah Pretty Bird. Because 1) he's the only one I can see calling someone that and 2) I'd love to see the reactions if it happened.

You know what? I have an idea for torture to get BS to give up the money - make her sit there while the newbies whine and Rene repeats "this doesn't change anything, hoss." Not whatever Dinah is thinking.

This. With the right writers or even just the right planning, they could tie together everything even if nothing was different in the episodes we've already seen/614. But I have zero faith in the Arrow writers. After all, they made Vigilante, the person who showed up before anyone even knew about Dinah, her "dead" ex-boyfriend and said he was someone we'd recognize when they recast the role.

I doubt anyone who writes any of these "BS should be redeemed!" articles would even give BS a second thought if E1 LL was brought back somehow, even if it made no sense.

Because that wig does nothing to hide what BS looks like.

"More often than not"? I have yet to see a time when she's not Team Arrow's enemy. Not killing a man who looks like her father does not count. First of all, "Quentin introducing aspects of Earth-1 Laurel's life to her" just sounds so creepy considering the last scene of 613 and his whole "she's my daughter!" Second, I still don't see BS' move in 613 as her "offering to essentially sacrifice herself," but I am surprised by how many people have automatically assumed that. Again, what about everyone she killed before Vince - as in, the people she killed when she didn't have to and Cayden James was telling her not to? Also, stop making Cayden James so powerful - he was a hacker. BS is a meta - who can kill someone who heals. There is no way that Cayden should be able to force BS to do anything, and if you want to root for BS in even the slightest way, that's where your head should be. Don't even get me started on Havenrock and Diggle's time in the military being mentioned here.

My main problem with KA is that tweet he took a screencap of and then posted and opened up the girl to bullying and IIRC, the responses from the anti-Olicity/Felicity crowd were something along the lines of, "Olicity fans don't matter and we say they bully people all the time, so this bullying's okay." Especially since that was after his introduction which was so weak.

I just don't get coming in in a show's 6th season and liking tweets against a character who has been around since season 1.

Completely missed the 615 photos yesterday. Happy to see Roy back, happy to see Thea suited up, wish we got at least one photo of Felicity, but the best part? No newbies! As for Black Siren and Lance in the hospital ... I don't know why the first thing I thought of when I saw that photo was "please don't let either of them pull out that photo of Laurel," but it was.

I'm waiting for one of the two teams to contact the other and for Wally to be in the background on the Waverider during a video chat and for someone from The Flash - even better if it's Joe or Iris - to go, "Wally? Huh? When did you get there? We thought you were in X." "No, that was 6 months ago. I called you guys but no one bothered to answer."

Imagine if they just took out every awful thing he's said and replaced any of those lines with updates about Iris' life outside of the team/Barry or just once stated that Iris was still a reporter* or, since they seemed to want to make Iris and Caitlin actual friends and not just coworkers, a mention of the two of them hanging out instead of forgetting about that once the (first attempt at a) wedding was over. *They could even have made up some position at CCPN that had her working with STAR Labs or CCPD to explain why she's at STAR Labs during the day (or have her pop up at CCPD) and to explain why they don't show her at CCPN. If they even cared a little bit about Iris' career, I'm sure they could have thought of something.

I liked Tyler Ritter on NCIS as Abby's brother. It's why I was looking forward to him being on Arrow ... until we met Billy. They didn't really give him much to do because Billy didn't really matter as a character.

I think the problem is that I wouldn't be surprised if in an upcoming episode, the writers decide, "hey, let's just mention these other friends of Iris', say she also has this job outside of STAR Labs, etc." and expect viewers to go, "oh, okay, it must've been that way this entire time" and think there's nothing wrong with that when there definitely is. Look at how they dropped her journalism career.

But only if, upon returning to Star City, he looks at Dragon and goes, "Wait, this is the villain that came after me?"

If it's Josh or Joe in 618, from 615 on, it seems like they're bringing back characters who either a) work better with the team than the newbies or b) we'd rather see on-screen than the newbies (even if it is Josh and he's a former Big Bad - what does that say about the newbies right now?): 615 - Roy 616 - Nyssa 617 - Lyla 618 - Josh/Joe/someone else who'd probably fit one of these two categories Yet we're supposed to not want the newbies to go far, far away and free up screen time for other characters? I really don't get this arc. I sort of wish we'd hear from MG or WM what exactly they were thinking with it.

Me too, especially since, if you read the write-up for the final round, they couldn't be bothered to do even minimal research to write something about the couple other than the name of the show.
