  1. I look at it this way: there's only so long he can grow a beard before it would become too obvious to ignore that the mayor and the GA have the same beard. So unless they're going to have it made public that he's the GA or pretend Oliver can grow a beard as fast as Curtis can do his hair, there are certain things that can't happen.
  2. Watch it be something like "Felicity, are you there? Please say yes." in a flashback picking up where the finale ended. That's what I'm wondering too. Unless they filmed something for the premiere when they filmed the finale?
  3. There wasn't a love triangle when E1 LL was alive. Why would there be with her evil doppelgänger? That just doesn't make sense.
  4. I think it's simply that they couldn't put Diggle in a cage because Chase would have probably looked at his arms and figured he'd break right out. So therefore they could have Diggle elsewhere so that Slade could talk to Oliver.
  5. Oh right. I forgot all of the stupidity there. Really, they all should. But yes, give Myson every safety measure possible because it's more likely that he'll be kidnapped again than he won't. And probably because he'll just talk to the kidnapper.
  6. Didn't Chase say he knew his father? Which is even worse because William didn't know his father.
  7. William should've had a panic button. And he could've pressed it or something when Chase called him his real name but they could've made it that Chase got him and Samantha before anyone could do anything. But they wanted that scene at the end of 520, wanted Chase caught in 521 so they could have the brief happy period at beginning of 522 and then the rest of that episode and the finale, so instead of trying to work something in so that Samantha and William didn't look stupid, we got what we got.
  8. There was something about that moment in the finale that had me going, "okay, I can see Rene calling Dinah pretty bird next season." And I immediately began hoping it wouldn't happen. I actually wouldn't mind this happening. (If only to see how comics stans react.) And hopefully we wouldn't then get Black Siren popping up and going, "you thought you could date my father?" Let's just not have BS say anything else that makes it sound like she thinks she's E1 LL like that "replace" line from the finale. That's one of my big hopes for season 6.
  9. Yep. And I thought that was where they were going with Susan's first episode. Then ... nope. Susan's such a good person and reporter and Thea has to keep leaving and what she did was oh so wrong because Oliver said so. I just hope that if we have to deal with Thea leaving at multiple points during the season that it makes sense story-wise. Don't have her at a conference when no time has passed (like 509-510). Don't have her not return after her brother has been tortured for a week. Etc.
  10. We'll find out in the season premiere that the explosions only re-styled everyone's hair and no one got hurt. So all Chase will have accomplished is a few haircuts.
  11. You know, I can't help but think that considering MG hasn't been quiet about who's a series regular next year that they could've shown us in the finale that certain characters survive (aka everyone we know is going to be around next season), but still kept Oliver in the dark so he could still think everyone could be dead, could have still ended the same way, but they wouldn't be trying to pretend that there were all these possible deaths all summer. Sure, not everyone is on social media, but I think even the most casual of viewers have a general idea of who's safe. Would help with cons like HVFF and SDCC and maybe would've helped with the fact that whenever Myson shows up, it seems like no one else matters.
  12. I'm assuming the USB was because they needed some way of giving Slade the information and didn't want Oliver carrying a folder of papers with him. Also, considering Oliver was apparently surprised to see how calm Slade was, I don't get why he had it in the first place. Did he just decide he didn't care about Joe's safety since his own son was in danger? Say Slade was still crazy and the Mirakuru hadn't "worn off" and he hadn't been getting weekly therapy sessions, which is how I'm head-canoning the change in him, would it really be wise to give him that information? I think someone brought up getting a large rock and they vetoed that? Because, you know, Malcolm had to take her place, so no other plan would have been acceptable. Poor Tommy. Just, always, poor Tommy.
  13. Maybe Black Siren is going to be really pissed that "daddy" sided with the woman she says is replacing her - even though she's not actually replacing her and I'm kind of worried that Black Siren is going to start thinking she's E1 LL?
  14. Maybe the meaning of the line was supposed to be that since she and Curtis have high IQs, combined with Thea and Samantha's, the four of them have over 500 points of IQ? I think it was just a poorly written line.
  15. Can I just say that if in 601, we find out everyone survived because they got to the ARGUS prison bunker or something like that in time, I'm going to be annoyed that Adrian "I'm so many steps ahead of you Oliver" Chase apparently didn't rig it with explosives when he talked to Boomerang? Although, I guess he and Slade were in different prison bunkers? But still, Chase could have sent someone to rig Slade's prison after he was out.
  16. Yeah, I'd like to know exactly what finale WM was talking about.
  17. Do we even know for sure that William registered that Oliver's his father? I got nothing out of that kid's performance in the finale to even tell if he knew what was going on. They might need a flashback in 601 to Oliver telling him he's his dad. And then, during the "don't talk to strangers" talk that every single survivor should give William, they can add in a "don't tell anyone your father is the Green Arrow."
  18. Re-reading that exchange, I realized something else that bugged me about Samantha commenting on Felicity's ringless finger. (Which, BTW, shut up, Samantha.) I guess it could have happened off-screen while they were in cages, but last time Samantha saw her, Felicity was in a wheelchair, so maybe she should have commented on her walking again instead of her relationship status. I get they wanted to bring that up and I guess have someone comment on the kiss (and felt Curtis had done enough commenting on Olicity in 520/522?), but it was just unnecessary.
  19. Chase had Evelyn bribe the ARGUS guards on the island. Except that one guy who refused to abandon his post in the beginning. But he probably wasn't there when Chase and his army set up the explosives. I guess every time Chase/Prometheus was MIA from Star City, he was on the island, setting up explosives? No way he covered the island in one trip, even with help.
  20. You know what I wonder? What if Oliver hadn't been able to catch up to Chase for the boat scene? What if something had happened, like Black Siren waking up and screaming and bringing down the temple and trapping the fighters inside or something? What would Chase have done then? Wait with William in the boat? Take him away with him? Go back and free Oliver so he'd get that boat showdown?
  21. Forgot to mention this earlier, but I'm very disappointed that the "Ms. Smoak" is the only Felicity/Chase interaction we got.
  22. I'd prefer for the season premiere to pick up where the finale left off and then maybe 5-10 minutes in, do a time jump to October.
  23. Well, at least we know we're getting FBs in 601 and they're not waiting until 620 to explain things.
  24. Can anyone explain Samantha's logic in going to the plane with the others and then staying behind? She would have gotten lost on that island in 2 minutes and then just been wandering around by herself and finding her would have been another problem they had to worry about.
  25. What if the season 6 promo is just Oliver and William coloring together? (Just kidding. But imagine.)
