There was nothing to indicate that Dean knew about Sam's nightmare. It seemed more or less clear to me that Sam had that dream the night before the morning Dean offers him the bacon. So no, I don't think Dean had any idea that Sam is having a specific nightmare/vision about being Demon Blood Sam and killing Dean, possibly in the future or what. So that's a big thing Sam is holding out on Dean that would actually help Dean help Sam.

I loved the opening sequence. And Benny! 😢 Unfortunately for me, that is where my most of my enjoyment of the episode remained, save a few other moments. I dont think it was a well written episode and the boys were caricatures primarily. Jensen did a good job though. Just one episode ago Dean had a falling out with Cas because of Mary's death and now he was only talking about Jack and Rowena deaths because of Sam's grief and no mention of a lot of time passing to account for the change. And Sam was previously gung ho, that things will go their way before he killed Rowena, so what gives? Well, to me, Sams reaction to Rowena death, IMO, has more to do with Sam's own fears about his future now that one prophecy was fulfilled with him killing Rowena (assuming she stays dead), and he dreamed he was on demon blood and killed Dean. And despite my opinion that both Sam and Dean were bullet point characters, I found that to be in line with Sam's tendency to relate these kinds of things to himself directly. I'm just gonna watch that opening sequence on loop for a very long time.

I do wonder if they are taking a longer break to retool the finale?
-
No, they haven't. So Scheduling Bingo it is!
-
This is so fucking stupid. Why would you move it to Monday night during it's final episodes!!?? What a disgrace.

And it looks like Dean has what looks like a bullet wound to the head. I wonder if Lucifer!Sam shoots Dean in the head or something.
-
Oh...I can see that. I think Adam Rose sent a mysterious tweet not long ago about him doing something he couldn't talk about. Maybe Aaron is a Man of Letters and is working with Dean at the bunker when Lucifer!Sam shows up?
-
I know this is completely out of left field, but could the favorite be Endverse!Dean and Jensen is just be Goofy and cagy about it? Like maybe it's Endverse!Dean in the bunker and he fights Lucifer!Sam and his minions? I know it's unlikely but I hope im right and Jensen is just being a goober. Lol

I don't see a material difference though between Dean being 9, 10, or 11. He was a CHILD berated by his father for supposedly failing to protect his brother who was an even younger child. John is a POS for what he put Dean through in this episode.

When I select theme the only two choices I have are IPS default and Light. I tried each and both have a light theme only. I'm using Firefox with Android. Thank you!

I'm guessing it's an AU thing?

These Spoilers Suck: Bitter Speculation About SPN Spoilers

Moved from spoilers lest it be construed as bitterness. I'm not bitter about it, more resigned to the inevitability I predict. -

SPN Eye Candy: Drooling Over The Actors And Characters
catrox14 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Supernatural
I think that genre shows/movies are wildly underrated as dramatic works. Sure, there are fantastical elements which IMO belie the real drama. To me, SPN has always been a family drama masquerading as horror. Angel was a story of adult life and sacrifice. Buffy was about high school really. Comic book shows are not the odd cousin anymore. There is a great deal of depth and layers in many genre shows now, which I think Hollywood gets now. It might not be some folks cuppa but that doesn't make it less than. I would like to see Jensen be involved in any project that has decent writing, respects his talents and is creatively different, that builds it's own world. And even if a comic character like Batman needs to hit certain beats, it can still be done effectively like with The Dark Knight. The worst thing for me is to see him on some shitty procedural (Yes, I know SPN has procedural elements but I'm talking like a CSI sort of thing.) -
SPN Eye Candy: Drooling Over The Actors And Characters

I guess for me, it's not that Jensen is an unknown but that he seems to have chosen his path by sticking with SpN to the bitter end. Ithink Hollywood knows of Jensen. He is in well with the President of Warner Bros TV which is no small thing. He was told by David Nutter who directed the Pilot and the GoT pilot and several GoT episodes to let him know when he had time for GoT and he would make it happen. It was between him and Tom Welling for Clark Kent on Smallville but they chose Tom Welling because he more looked the part. He worked on Dark Angel (James Cameron production ) for one episode and they liked him so much they created a role specifically for him which he played for a season or two and kind of stole the show lowkey. So for me, I don't think it's a lack of familiarity with Jensen. He's gotten good to great buzz in the media in general for his work as Dean which I think will carry him a long way to something else. -

IMO, Jensen has played a gamut of different roles within Dean alone and the not Dean roles as well. He's shown all facets of a character and all emotions. He can do anything, IMO. -
FWIW, Under the Red Hood, in which Jensen voices Jason Todd (the Red Hood) is one of the best Batman movies, IMO. I put it up with The Dark Knight trilogy, no joke. So, if The Long Halloween is as good as that, it will be okay. That said, I wonder if the Arrowverse will bring Batman into Crisis on Infinite Earths and could he be teasing that or flat out telling the CW he wants it. LOL.
