  1. Really wonderful episode. We know how it all ends on Yellowstone. It's so wonderful watching how it gets there. This is an origin story worth the telling. We all know how it ends in real life, too. How the west was "won." All I hope for this show and Taylor Sheridan is that he tells a complete, complex, three-dimensional story of all the people involved. Indigenous. Newly-freed but still very much prohibited Blacks. Struggling immigrants. I want a new breed of western for us and our children and their children to look back on. A new starting point.
  2. I correct myself! She I'd wearing a different dress in the raid scene. Hopefully it's not a dream after all! Even so, Elsa's story is still a little too fantastical. 😏
  3. I do get that Elsa felt like if she were going to die, she was going to feel all the feelings and kiss than fine man on the way out. Buuuuuuuuut...
  4. From episode 1: “But if this is Hell, then I must be a demon, too. And I’m already dead.” Elsa is having the most fantastical experience for it to be real. Although this episode was great, kissing her indigenous guide as the eye of a tornado passes over them? C'mon, man. And without going back to look, is he the same indigenous man that she spoke to as they were being overtaken? Now, I am truly hoping that I am wrong. Because I really enjoy the show.
  5. Part of me thinks that this is all Elsa's dream. Thinking back to the opening scene, she is coming to consciousness into a very terrible reality in her original dress. After all she has done, what are the odds that she would have found that same dress again and actually want to wear it? If it is a dream, I will be amazingly disappointed.
  6. Didn't they say that Housewives shared lookbooks with the designers? That's more than they have gotten with similar challenges. Plus the Housewives said more than a few times what happens on the reunion shows, which include the most important facts for dressing: they are sitting down (most of the time... heh), they have to be eye-catching and worthy of sharing on media outlets, and that each of them usually choose to spotlight either chest or legs. The designers got a lot of information to work with even if they hadn't seen one.
  7. Oh, I missed this season. Thanks for sharing!! Liris looks like she was a great model: amazing walk and well proportioned for designing. PR needs to get her back!!
  8. Loved the Housewives crossover and how excited the designers were for them on the runway. And I did like how all the Housewives were trying to be as delicate as possible with the designers knowing that it is a competition. Gizelle, Shannon, and Luann were excellent examples of the designers giving them their "signature" looks. Even though Luann does have the background and the stature for runway, the dress (while not sequined) really was on point for her. Sleek and cool. "Be cool. Don't be all uncool." TM Luann. The shape of Gina's outfit was so unflattering to her figure: busty, narrow hips, and the slightest hint of tummy. LOL at Wendy's interaction with her designer. Wendy is a pill. And for those of us who do watch Real Housewives of Potomac, it was quite interesting to see just how well Gizelle and Wendy were getting along considering last season. 🙃
  9. I agree. However, I would love to have had Summer be a more complex character. They leaned so hard into the "environmental terrorist" and completely left environmentalists by the wayside. They, as we all should be, are fighting to bring awareness and change to potentially devastating consequences to our planet. I felt the same way to a lesser degree about the first developer (blanking on his name). There are many people who would love a way to vacation and enjoy these lands. How else are we to do it without a place to stay?
  10. Mimi needs her own appreciation thread.
  11. I had high hopes for Erika when she first joined BH. But they were soon dashed as she came after LVP for reasons uncalled for IMO. Her "sniper from the side" observations didn't seem to come from actually knowing LVP personally. And her behavior set the tone for me. They were further dashed as she acted so imperiously and inherently (TM PK) cold about her two lives and how dare you confuse them. Erika Jayne is NOT Erika Girardi and how dare you not know when to address me correctly. This chapter of Erika is very much two things for me. I definitely believe that there was a lot of control, deference, and posturing in her marriage, and that it was very unequal. I have no doubt believing that she was in the dark about a lot and didn't have access to the family money. I could even believe that her paychecks went into an account from which she could access through controlled methods--because he would have cut off the access to the other money. I would have no problem believing that. A lawyer *that* prominent, with two previous wives, and choosing Erika for his third wife had a set way of doing things that likely were not to be challenged. Set in his ways + power/influence to the nth power for sure. I can even get behind her doing what she can so that she isn't ruined by the actions of her husband. However, Erika's personality is so nasty. Sutton was exactly right to consult an attorney and also still consider her a friend. She handled her so wrong. And not unlike other ladies in prior seasons. Her flexes continue to be so wrong and strong. And it is a shame because when she wants to, I can see who she could have been.
  12. Dude, don't bring the dossier with you! Commit it to memory!!
  13. I peeped all those books Chris and his partner made playing spades! Gizelle, Robyn, and Wendy will never be good.
  14. Adding to my assessment, I also think that's why Candiace is so often crying and dabbing at the end of her arguments. Her arguments set off a true hurting and emotional trigger that goes far beyond battling with the ladies or even arguing with Chris.
  15. Re: Candiace: It's one thing for us viewers who sometimes get only parts of an interaction or a housewife's personality and then make a judgment, to maybe be off-base or too harsh, etc. It's entirely another when the people on the show who know you in real life, including your own husband (!!), see the same thing--and have been on the receiving end of it a few times, too--and tell you in chorus to STOP, you need to STOP. Yes, she is very skilled at cutting to the quick with her words, and she usually (always?) does so as a reaction. But her retorts seem to come from a place of hurt that is outside and outsized of the situation. Every time Candiace gets that crunk, I picture her lashing out at her mom, and the ladies are just proxies.
  16. The interesting things to me about that conversation were that 1) Garcelle adamantly professed it was not about race, even though it was. I wonder why she felt the need to say that. 2) It was like a veil dropped from Kathy's persona when she replied.
  17. It comes up because it's the nature of the show. They all have things explored on camera. The level of maliciousness from them was low, and the cheating part was always qualified with, "We know it's not true."
  18. I still think the GEBs were sincerely noticing Wendy's shift at the beginning of the season and mentioned it out of concern. Moreso Robyn, but I think it was sincere *and* also meant to be a little bit of a storyline. Not really going after Eddie because they don't believe it and also because they like Wendy. But definitely mentioning it because... show. I loved the addition of both Wendy and Eboni on RHofNY. But I think because of their political commentary jobs (and maybe their inherent personalities that make them good at their jobs?), to me, when they argue, it come across differently. I'm not sure how to phrase it exactly, but "politically commentator-ary combative" is the best I can come up with. That's why the GEBs, especially Robyn, are OVER IT. Robyn has shown extreme over it-ness when she is really trying to explain to Wendy what was said or how it was meant and her reaction to Wendy's response. I would be, too. It's like, I can't *talk* with you. Robyn is too laid back for that kind of energy especially when she's trying to be heard and be clear. Just as Wendy said Mia hasn't met the other Candiace, Wendy hadn't met the other Robyn. She's meeting her now. And she's going to get a lot of exasperated "OK, Wendy... damn," from Robyn from here on out. **Reasonably Shady is a great listen.**
  19. Debbie Morgan in *65* y'all. That woman has a whole river of youth flowing through her backyard.
  20. Both Pieper and Brendan (especially Brendan) were so nasty and derogatory in the way they spoke about and to Natasha. Brendan really said with his chest both to the group and to Natasha's face, "Who else was she going to date? *What* were her other options?" That was foul.
  21. THE CRAB FELL BACKWARDS IN THE PLATE OF SLICED BANANAS! LOLLLL. Truly, that cracked me up way more than it should.
  22. This is the first time I thought Gizelle and, especially, Robyn, were authentic in their concern for another castmate. Wendy *is* dressing and acting very differently, and I would wonder, too.
  23. P.K. was right when he said Erika was inherently cold.
