  1. Heh. Yup, I was class of '95 and friends' parents all had the champagne Camry as the family car before SUVs and crossovers became a thing. My good friend got a silver Altima in the early 2000s, and then I saw tons of those around, but it could have been confirmation bias.
  2. Considering how big and respected (I guess?) Scientology was among celebs before Tom Cruise did the crazy couch-jumping business, it's kind of ballsy for the show to do a "faux-Scientology" storyline. I figure negators and externs are New Evolution "suppressives".
  3. My best guess is that a lot 90s stuff was 70s revival a la "Dazed and Confused", so perhaps the 70s brown was reconfigured as makeup and clothing trends instead of cars, furniture, and major appliances? I distinctly remember everyone having a champagne-colored car (usually a Toyota Camry) in the 90s.
  4. Just read "Lost Girls" in three days. Thanks for the recommendation.
  5. Nice! I've been so tempted to buy a choker lately because they're everywhere.
  6. Small print dress, black tights, and Docs- Tori is clearly not following the "if you wore a trend once, don't wear it when it comes back around 20 years later" rule.
  7. Felice is the worst schemer ever. Why would she immediately tell Donna that Ray took the check? Maybe wait a few days to see if he cashes it? She's just so toxic and self-esteem ruining. Ugh.
  8. Maybe I watch too much "House of Cards" and such, but all the emphasis on a living ex-wife made me wonder if Margaret was tempted to have the ex bumped off? Maybe it would have been too obvious.
  9. Is Phillip's sketchy lunch club friend based on anyone in real life? He just seems like he's there to facilitate infidelity and should be deported already.
  10. It's been awhile- did Kelly and Brandon officially break up because she was mad he was with Emily during the fire, or did they just "see other people"? They seemed perfectly fine before. I vaguely remember the Alison plot, then later Brandon and Dylan teaming up to save her from Finley's cult, and then "I choose me".
  11. I just turned 39, and was class of '95. I think I just missed Sarah D. Bunting at our alma mater. I was squeeing at the Nassau Weekly story awhile back, since I did copy editing there, and the pasting with that rubber cement stuff.
  12. To be fair, from that angle the window looks like it might be barred as many basement windows are, but I guess they could still break the glass and yell for help.
  13. Yep, season 1 Steve was pretty much a warmer, friendlier 80s teen movie "villain". I don't think he was bad guy at heart, but a follower easily swayed by the John Sears's of the world, 'cause daddy/ not enough parental attention issues.
  14. At least part of it was filmed in my home Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. That's the train station Frances walks down the hill to, though somehow I totally missed the filming of this. Their house looks to be here too, but could be a few towns north or south, going by the view of The Palisades.
  15. Issues indeed. I used to somewhat empathize with Kelly on this, but as an adult, I saw a (now former) friend get weirdly angry when her "back-up plan" got married to someone else. I get the Kelly-hate now.
  16. Hi all! First time poster, but a loyal "Again With This" listener and BH: 90210 fan. I used to post as jackiecarr over at TWoP. So I was on Pinterest, and just had this huge revelation that Donna's platinum hair and skimpy wardrobe of next couple seasons is a direct reference to Drew Barrymore's look at time. Now it all makes sense.
