  1. Ian has another Sharknado coming out. http://tomandlorenzo.com/2017/08/tara-reid-and-ian-ziering-at-the-sharknado-5-global-swarming-premiere/
  2. I have a theory on Donna's hair. This was around when TLC was popular, and with David being into hip-hop, I'm wondering if they're trying out African-American inspired styles on her to make her look like a "cool" musician's girlfriend and it just looking off? http://skoolgirlonline.co.uk/13-lisa-lopes-left-eyes-flyest-90s-hairstyles/
  3. See, and I thought the dance the guy was doing looked like a Crip Walk, so I was wondering if there's also a Blood Walk or of there's some other proper dance term.
  4. You're right. Donna is actually single now for the first time in years until Cliff returns. If these were real people I'd strongly side-eye the inability to be single more than a month.
  5. I use glass tumblers (rocks glasses?) for all alcohol since I've embraced minimalism. They're nice and stable if nothing else. I managed to break at least 5 of the dozen pack of champagne flutes I got years ago when I was planning to be a "proper" drunk.
  6. Steve is always up for a party, so I can see him not being concerned. I guess the girls were just happy that he wasn't "being a bitch about it" for a few days. Also, I wonder if they thought about getting Steve's car thieves to play the Vegas cons? That would have been kind of awesome. David's had the right hair colors and bangs but were not quite Playmate material.
  7. Just watched this. Really disturbing how the family saw this coming, but no one really stepped in to alter the course of events. If nothing else Gypsy was smart enough to find "that guy" who goes for the damsel in distress, so...well-played I guess? The boyfriend goes to trial in December. http://www.kspr.com/content/news/Godejohn-jury-trial-430379753.html
  8. I wonder if Val subconsciously hated Kelly because she reminds her of her mother? It just struck me that Michelle Phillips as Abby could pass for an older Kelly.
  9. I want to feel sorry for Val, but doesn't she later this season lose her money to Parker Lewis in some attempt to screw Kelly and wind up on Gut Check cliff (where she could potentially fall on an innocent motorist's car)? Val's an idiot.
  10. Tom Cruise for Brandon- both short, both have that "Napoleon complex" cocky try-hard super competitive energy, both able to bray.
  11. Maybe it's like Twin Peaks where Evil Bob possessed Holmes and then jumped into Jack the Ripper or vice-versa when they unknowingly crossed paths. Heh.
  12. I'd figure the Black Dahlia writers' fathers were legitimately abusive, so there's some misplaced identification with the victim? Same way how it's almost always guys with musical aspirations who pop out of the woodwork claiming to be the secret child of Elvis, MJ, Prince, etc.
  13. That behavior was crappy if true, but the "Who had the best career?" thread makes me understand it a bit more. Like Jennie had a few credits and Tori nepotized their way into this gig as teens, while Tiffani had already been successful for years on SBTB, and Vanessa was on GH, so I think they were possibly insecure about competing with "real" actresses. It could also explain some of the Shando hate, since she had a bunch of series and "Heathers" pre-90210.
  14. These dresses are so Brenda & Kelly! Hee! http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_595e6787e4b0615b9e8ff18c?ncid=hpinst00002
  15. Actually, I immediately noticed that Pope's stripper was wearing a bright silky robe with cheetah print very similar to Smurf's usual robes and tunics, so I first thought he was acting out Oedipal fantasy or reality. The sister theory makes sense too though.
  16. I could argue the dissenting opinion that Tori has had the best career. Not acting-wise of course, but she's shown a Kardashian-like ability to stay in the public eye without really doing anything. She wrote a few books, hopped on the VH1 celebreality train early with "So Notorious", had multiple reality shows just based on her and Dean and the big family. Her finances are screwed according to the tabloids, but who here thought 25 years ago that we'd still know her name?
  17. Dylan was artsy, rich and broody, so high school and college (ok, fine- pre-age 35) me would have eaten that up with a spoon.
  18. Agree on Donna. It's one thing if it was a pet, or even for an injured deer I'd give her a tiny bit of slack, but otherwise leave the wildlife alone.
  19. I can't speak to Colin's and Kenny's looks, but I thought season one Brandon was gorgeous facially, and Dylan was quite handsome. Of course when a teen show goes on for freakin' ever, you wind up with what you get. I must say I'm always amazed at the actors (especially the women) on daytime soaps- like 30 years as the same character and looking basically the same. Either great genes and/or maintenance I guess.
  20. Was the opening clip in honor of Duran Duran playing Princeton Reunions this year? Heh. I made a day trip for the P-rade, APBA reception, and dropped by Campüs Club, but didn't stay for the tents. I'll have to check the Campüs bar next time I'm there. Never noticed his name or heard this lore as a student.
  21. Kelly was Spring Princess, then Spring Queen. I guess it was kept vague since they went on to do a second junior year, and then had prom as seniors.
  22. I went to my 10th and much smaller 20th, both at bars. They're less formal/restrictive now, like the Class of '92 is having their 25th, but the FB post said "and surrounding classes", so I figure some fellow '95s will go.
  23. Claire Underwood's dress buttons were intended to invoke a military dress uniform. Notice they first appeared when she was sworn in. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/08/fashion/house-of-cards-power-dressing-melania-trump-claire-underwood.html?smprod=nytcore-iphone&smid=nytcore-iphone-share
  24. TV seasons played almost in real time back then- so Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc. episodes were concurrent with the time of year. I think the standard season was 26 episodes? Also, there were just fewer shows being produced overall. I'm sure there are TV historians here who can better explain.
