  1. I can't remember if the profiler said it was one or two perpetrators, but, I did find it interesting that he insisted that the girls were targeted - not exactly a drive-by shooting scenario. Plus, I didn't understand how he could shoot Taylor with one gun and then shoot Skyla with another, without one of them trying to run away while the other was being shot. Seemed to me that two murderers made more sense. Oops - meant Evil Lives Here!
  2. And in the same 24 hour period of time! For those of us that cannot sleep, I often find myself angry that the episode that aired at 10p.m. is the same one at 1a.m. Mix it up! I'm also loving "I, Witness" (similar to "Murder Lives Here") - really intense.
  3. Did they go into the DNA evidence more on MCTT? I thought it was kind of strange that the police/DA were dismissive about the DNA evidence on the girls not matching Sweat, and the profiler in Shadow of Doubt seemed to completely disagree with the police that he was the murderer (at least, that was my impression especially when he was talking about the police theory on the bullet traveling under Taylor's shorts or some such nonsense).
  4. Wooooosh this was bad! Where to begin?? Loved that they were able to identify burned out flesh (or however they described it) under the coat of fresh paint on the boat (and dudes had time to paint the boat on the DL before getting back on the rig??) and that they needed three NCIS agents to go check out the boat in the first place. Then the mother's reaction to finding out her son was the saboteur: "I gave him everything." WHAT?!? Cliché much? But the worst was the assumption that the oil rig could be evacuate to safety in 10 minutes. Holy geez. What WAS that?? I told Mr. TGW last night that I am full-on in hate-watching mode for this show.
  5. I just can't get behind this. He assaulted men, repeatedly, and was finally banned from this facility. When I saw the news reports about masseurs suing him, I totally knew it was true (which signaled to me that he has been doing this for decades). Perhaps it would be one thing to be caught with male escorts, it is quite different to assault someone who has told you "No!" ETA: Sorry, CatMomma - it was definitely not my intent to misrepresent your original post.
  6. So this story might change your mind. My sister worked at a very high end resort in Phoenix at the spa's appointment center during the early 90s while in college. She was told by her supervisor that Travolta had a LIFETIME ban from making appointments there due to his harassment of the male staff. No joke. I have not been able to look at him the same way since.
  7. This will probably be unpopular, but I kinda like her "chill" delivery in contrast to everyone else who is just so intense. And, since her original purpose was to observe the team's interactions so that she could better understand what type of person to recommend since Gibbs was rejecting all of her candidates, it fits to me. Agree with you. I couldn't identify exactly what it was...but she bugged. Also, don't need another "let's go off the books to take revenge" plot because, you know, she can't get let others take Big Bad down.
  8. Agree - especially considering in pretty much every other episode before this one she would say "I can't wait to get back to DC" about 1000 times. ++++++ Yes!
  9. Thank you druzy!!! "Please Mr. Rabbit, don't eat those apples." HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
  10. Does anyone remember the spoof that Jerry O'Connell did after this interview was leaked? Funny stuff (and I'm sort of surprised CO$ didn't go after him in some way....)
  11. Hugs, Sew Sumi. As someone who has had anxiety for decades (as some of my family members), for which I take medication, my heart goes out to you.
  12. I'm pretty sure this is correct. I seem to remember some years ago a story about her getting confronted by a critic of CO$ and she responded to his questions with: "Did you rape a baby?" or something insane like that because, according to Scientologists, a person's reaction to a question such as that is indicative of whether you are...I don't know...hiding "crimes" or whatever. After hearing this, I stopped watching Dharma and Greg.
  13. And what I can't wrap my head around is even though Scientologists (those that are lured into it) have to know they are factually incorrect, they still double down. So, these guys in the article that worked at CO$ are around 17. You can't tell me that they don't know anyone in their lives that benefited from medication??
  14. Not sure if you read the link I put in Rabbit Hole, but this is a quote from the article of the author and a friend going in and taking the CO$ personality quiz: "While my friend sat with the aforementioned Andrew, he told her to stop taking her anti-depressants, because she wouldn’t be able to complete the church’s “Dianetics” course unless she was off any prescribed medication for at least 24 hours before taking the initial assessment. Andrew bragged that he had convinced a schizophrenic man the week prior to stop taking medication and to rely on the church instead. He kept pushing Scientology as a cure for mental illness because, he said, it can solve everyone’s problems without “making it up” like therapy and medication." Frightening, scary, irresponsible stuff. Sorry - for clarification, Andrew is the guy that gave her friend the E-meter audit and worked for CO$
  15. Check out the link I posted on "Rabbit Hole" - I think that there are only because it does appear to be "self help" driven (but def not in huge numbers, I would think)
  16. At least the scene reminded me of profiling...even though most of their assumptions were not really based on any actual information. I'm not sure why, but for some reason, I hate when the team refers to him as "Mr. Scratch" - we all know his real name, why would you use this preferred AKA?
  17. I found this article interesting: author and a friend went to a CO$ church to take one of its personality quizzes: http://thefederalist.com/2017/01/05/i-visited-the-church-of-scientology-here-is-what-happened/
  18. COMPLETELY agree with every word you wrote. I felt bad when she and Mike were in the car and she was implying that, unless there was a legal challenge, then all of their work has been for nothing. WRONG!!! Preventing people from entering into such a cult or having current members realize that they will not be shunned by non-CO$ people in the real world is a hugely important message. Establishing safe havens is a great idea and, yes, this has to be done like NOW. I didn't even realize that others had written books or done documentaries on CO$ in the past - and didn't really take interest until "Going Clear" and when Leah left and exposed things from an insider celebrity's perspective (even though she didn't suffer anything like what the interviewees did). Because of their show, I now know more than I ever did before about these horrible practices and I am encouraging others to watch it.
  19. And, perhaps I'm giving too much credit here, but Diana's stilted delivery of her lines kinda makes me think that they are trying to have her act as if she has no emotions. It's just so dry.
  20. This gave me a chill down my spine when I first read it...and then I got sad because I know it is so true....
  21. OMG I NEVER thought about that until you wrote it! So true - after Rosalee took over the Spice Shop from Giles (oh whoops!) her brother, her character just made more sense to be the go-to that Nick needed for all things Wesen including background information (although this info could have been all provided by Monroe and/or the books) and Wesen-specific tips on how to defeat the WOTW (I mean, she did find the cure of the Death Grip in like 4 seconds under immense pressure in the right book without even looking at an index!! /snark) instead of whatever they planned to do story-wise with Juliette and her vet skills. In order to keep her relevant, they had to have Juliette go through some ridiculous trials and tribulations for plot, rendering her a hindrance to Nick rather than an asset. Agree (see amazing Death Grip cure finding ability above). There wasn't a time when she (and Monroe) didn't find the fix.
  22. Ha ha! Seriously. I was waiting for someone to thoughtfully stir some tea while contemplating what. just. happened. Truth. After Renard's calm walk-away, this was the most ridiculous scene (well, maybe not "most" because there were just so many....). Who wouldn't go to a hotel under an assumed name?? Surely not every BC member was taken out in Nick's apartment, right??
  23. Serious eye roll from me and Mr. GreenWave when Renard looks at Nick's beaten up face and 2000 dead bodies in his apartment, identifies that the holes in his shirt are bullet holes, and then says, "hey, so looks like you got shot but all your wounds are healed. So, anyway, I'm going to take off now." WHAT?!?!?!
  24. This is incredibly frightening. Also, wasn't there some rumor that Connor and Isabella were adopted by Tom and Nicole from other Scientologists? I wonder if they were forced to give them up to them?? You know, because it doesn't really matter who raises them....
  25. Hi all. Long time lurker here. Just had to sign in to say that I was surprised how snippy Meri got when they were all sitting on the couch discussing the engagement and Christine said that they had only been dating like 6 months, and Meri said, well, Kody proposed to me after two months. And no one responded or acknowledged her statement!
