  1. Ironically enough I found this episode really entertaining in the way I found RHONY in the early years. Drama and snarky but not too over the top nasty as it has gotten. Made me nostalgic. LOL Don’t get me wrong the crazy is still there. Carole – Go ahead and just say it you don’t think Ramona is smart. That whole exchange was partly Carole’s condescension regarding her journalistic cred and others acknowledging that she knows more than them and partly her feeling that Ramona is dumb as a bag of rocks so she couldn’t possibly have an opinion worth respecting or even entertaining. Ramona – Throughout the episode I just kept thinking Ramona is off her meds or took too many of her meds. She is exhaustingly manic. No one believes that you are world wind dating no matter how skanky you look with a ratty ponytail and scarf hiding the nonexistent hickey. She did the same “Oh I just rolled in from a date I get so much action” move before in FL for Luann’s engagement party where she joined the girls in the morning after her supposed “walk of shame”. Plus your rudeness knows no bounds – how are you going to come into a party and not find your bff host and say hi before jumping on the sandwiches, not as bad as when you were the first to eat the wedding cake and the doggie wedding, but equally as rude. With Luann’s marriage, let it go! Stay out of her business. No she wouldn’t invite you to her bachelorette party. Why? So you can have a Tourette’s fit and say negative things about the upcoming wedding and marriage. Luann should have just said, I didn’t want you there because I wanted to enjoy my party and honestly I don’t trust that you would attend and be positive and I didn’t want to take that chance. Issue closed. Bethenny and the puppies – WTF was that. You breeze in and ignore the hosts request to take of your shoes, and then say you are ignoring the puppies because you didn’t get an email and then make this production about going over and fawning over them. That scene was just crazy and just confirmed even more so that Bish Cray. Sonja – Producers please don’t show anymore of her burlesque act. It is cringeworthily difficult to see even for 10 secs. I found it interesting that one of Sonja’s complaints about her falling out with Luann was disappointing because she wouldn’t be in the wedding party. Ummm what? That pretty much sums up Sonja- she hates being left out of the party.
  2. Hilarious Couch Tater. I noticed the same thing when Stevie was talking. I was thinking whoever is in a conversation with him needs to watch them hands he could put someone's eye out LOL
  3. Mom of Zoey :-) Phaedra wants to be involved because she nosey and messy and getting tea from the tap is what she is looking for. What I found hilarious when Kandi confronted her is that she was backed into a corner and started saying things that don't make sense. Slightly leaning on lawyer client confidentiality although she isn't his lawyer, the BS about being duty bound as a lawyer to help anyone who asks for it (what-tha-fuck-ever) and saying that she can't talk about what they discussed, ummmm you do remember that you filmed your conversations. At the very least you could have told somewhat of the truth - he came to me, I told him I couldn't represent him, so I recommended another attorney oh and I sat in on their meetings to get some gossip on you. What makes many of these HoWives shows unwatchable is that some of the women can not be happy for their castmates. It seems like any movement forward they make one of their "friends" is there to disparage them, undercut them basking and gloating at any unfortunate thing that happens. Who needs "friends" like that.
  4. I was creeped out by the convo with Jos and JDime because, was it just me or, was Jos doing some serious eye fucking of JDime. Chick, you're pregnant! They say that during pregnancy your horniness can be off the chart but girl keep it in check. Moriah the extortionist needs to take a couple of seats. When she was talking about her "dream" to open a wayward home for chickens to get a drink and cluck in a den of STI's my eyes rolled back in my head. That was a seriously raw space and I doubt Moriah knows enough about permits, liquor licenses, simple math to be the "boss" she is pretending to be. If there are any lawyers reading this thread please weigh in - What Moriah admitted to (several times) was extortion, Right? That is still a crime, right?
  5. What an exhausting end to an exhausting season. After the reunion I think I am done, these women are just too frustratingly petty that it is not enjoyable anymore. First, I am tired of the needless drama of “I am throwing a party on the same day when all the work is supposed to be done on my house, so what could possibly go wrong” That’s just poor planning. Second, I’m sorry but I just can’t get behind all this praise for Sheree and this house being a testament to single powerful female instead of an example of her vanity, financial ineptness and selfishness. She spent 4 or 5 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars on a house she can’t afford instead of investing her and her children’s future. I don’t count the house as an investment as I don’t see her keeping if for longer than a year or two as it will be in foreclosure. While the house is stunning I think the money she spent on the party (feather dancers, stripper - I mean clothed entertainer - writhing on a pedestal in the center of the living room, lighting displays) was a waste because all she needed to do was order some Friskies cat food, rent a wrestling ring and let the HoWives go at it Mad Max style because no matter the “classiness” of the party all they gonna do is fight. Why fake the funk.
  6. The audacity and boldness of this group of heathens is incredible. Who comes on a show and does a talking head interview about how he is cheating on his wife with her employee and said employee bragging about how she has her boss's husband by the balls and he gives her money. And did we just witness a crime?!?!!? I think that was extortion! And did I just hear that chicken say "my money is tight so I am going to stay at my current job" uhhh no you won't sweetie not after last night when the episode aired. I just can't anymore....
  7. Glad that Jaymes went home. He was so uncomfortably cringeworthily out of his league. She may be a decent solo performer but definitely not made for competition. Her awkwardness makes me wonder if she is on the Asperger’s spectrum. Kimora needs a reality check. I didn’t expect anything from Jaymes in the lipsynch and Kimora was equally as bad but at least she got better near the end. Both could have gone home and I would have been very happy. Kimora is the type of queen that “Rest on Fetish” not rest on pretty cuz she is not that. I think she relies on being exotic looking with a pumped up A$$ and puts little effort into anything else regarding her craft. I get the vibe that she wants the adulation for being this oversexualized caricature rather than appreciated for her skills or creativity as an entertainer. So far I am on the fence about the move to VH1. Wendy W can go. The Viewing party with the 3 of them sitting in an empty club was just weird and it really adds nothing to the show. Hopefully it will not last long. Also, are we not going to have any mini challenges in the work room? I miss those lil opportunities to get to know the queens and see how quick they are on their feet – comic timing, ability to pull a look out of a hat, etc. But my main complaint about the episode is that I felt that the cheering competition went on wayyyyyy too long and was unnecessarily too complicated and drawn out with the stunt work. Producers – can you internally decide what the cap will be for hearing Cu-Cu each episode, my suggestion 3. I am glad that Cynthia is in remission and sincerely hopes she remains healthy. I also appreciate that Ru gave her another chance and could also say that she deserved the 2nd chance. But, I find her incredibly annoying. Honestly, didn’t find her funny nor amusing during her original season and was never impressed with her and still am not. Make the best out of this season but please hurry up and get voted off. I give it 3 or 4 more episodes tops.
  8. I came across the trailer on demand and being an incredible fan of the White Queen I was excited to see that it was coming out. I'm on the fence with how this will turn out because it didn't capture the production style of the WQ. This one seems like they have "Hollywood-ized" this production and its a little too stylized for me but I will be watching. Also another nitpick was the way they depicted the story from the POV that Elizabeth was an enemy of Henry's and was plotting his downfall. I understand things are ramped up for television but this portrayal of Elizabeth gave me pause. Interestingly enough I recently read a more historically accurate book on Elizabeth of York and the relationship she really had with her mother in law Margaret Beaufort by Alison Weir entitled Elizabeth of York A Tudor Queen and Her World. This was based on letters, financial records etc. In the book Weir builds the case that Elizabeth and Margaret got along fine and that Elizabeth and Henry had a loving marriage. She also paints Elizabeth as a complacent woman content in her relationship and standing. Not the "spitfire" empowered woman of the Gregory novels and by the looks of it, the White Princess.
  9. Just binge watched the series over 2 days and it got a lil brutal trying to stay interested. Just don't think it was a strong enough story line. It's like halfway through you decide you can take or leave the series because it hasn't captured you yet but you keep watching to get through because you invested the time in watching half of it. Almost felt that way with Luke Cage but what saved that show for me was the humor it found within itself, like the scene after Luke breaks out of jail and has the option of choosing new clothes off the clothesline and he picks up the traditional costume from the Comic and says Hell no. LC also had an amazing supporting cast (Alfre Woodard is AMAZING). Iron Fist didn't have those quirks for me. Not sure if I can sit through another season...
  10. I actually sat through the episode literally mouth open in disbelief in the hot lava mess that was on my tv. I had to change the channel a couple of times because it was just that cringe worthy and to let my tv cool off. I like my tv and can’t have it melting. Yooooooo… This new group of “ladies” no words? The Salon owner and her pretend bougieness, ghetto ratchet nail technician, the ring don’t mean a thing twins – syphilis “I’m really a radio personality” Jones and chlamydia “pay my bills” Brown was just too much even for this show. Although I know better, part of me is hoping this is just an act because if not the producers should be ashamed exploiting them like this. There has to be some level of responsibility they must accept for putting these women on the screen. By giving them a platform to act out for some pennies not only are they condoning and rewarding their behavior but “inspiring” the next generation of reality tv “welfare” stars. I’m scared to think about what will be on my screen in 5 years. Think about the level of ratchetness that reality stars had 5 years ago and how tame it seems now compared to what is on tv currently. What will it be in 5 years? I shudder to think…. Jesus take the wheel and febreeze the backseat.
  11. Phae Phae e’re body knows you unprofessionally sat in that consultation because you wanted to hear all the tea about Kandi. If you had an ethical bone in your body and you knew that you wouldn’t be involved in this bogus court case at all then there was no reason to sit in that meeting. Messy! Porsha, lord lord lord, Porsha. WTF are you doing? TOO DAMN MUCH that’s what. I’m glad that Todd seems to be in control of the ½ a brain they are sharing. Sheree is the worse momager ever. Even she doesn’t take this seriously. It’s his first show and as his manager you should be with him to make sure he starts out on professional footing. UGH actually I don’t even know why I somewhat care. Kairo doesn’t want to be a model anyway and Sheree is going to destroy any chances of him being taken seriously. Another fake storyline to make sure that Kairo gets more screen time and a check from Bravo, that I am sure his Momager Sheree will be taking out her manager cut. Kenya and Matt, I hope this was end of your onscreen fake storyline I am so tired of it. I had to laugh though at Kenya telling Matt, “Matt, look at me” because it was really “Matt, look at the camera. This only works if we catch your tears on film.”
  12. Ohhhhkayyyyy soooooooo somebody is looking into sponsorship deals with Proactive and Bic Razor’s right? I don’t know if there was more shade coming from the queens or from all the 5 o’clock shadows on my screen but I had to grab a sweater. There seems to be a lot of them that don’t do make up well or is it just me? This season is going to be a hot mess, can’t wait! Right now there are a few that I think are going to become annoying extra quick – the NY queen that drops names and designers like she clumsy and Eureka. Eureka pace yourself you are doing TOO much. Every word out of your mouth doesn’t have to be a shady snark especially when they aren’t funny or witty. It’s not the quantity of shade that is thrown but the quality. You are setting yourself up to be the insecure bigger girl who uses shade to bring others down to make herself feel better. Not a good look. We want our Drag Superstars to be confident kick ass divas. Not seeing it in you, yet.
  13. I should clarify, what I meant by Kandi being over it is that she is beyond the emotional drama. I see the legal part of it as something she has to continue because of principle. As a songwriter you can't be seen as one someone can take advantage of and have to show that you are willing to fight for your due.
  14. Tararayne, I don't think it would be awkward for Kandi re Kim and TFTP, I think she has moved on from that battle and is a different place in her life. In my opinion the battle with Kim was less to do with money in the situation (although Kandi is all about that $$$$) I think she was genuinely hurt by Kim because she felt they were becoming real friends not just show friends. Kandi may have given Kim a pass on "not knowing" she should share the royalties initially but once she was made aware of how things work in the music biz her reluctance and steadfastness in not paying was the wedge that separated them. If anything I see thirsty Kim being the one to drag up old issues to get a spicy story line.
  15. I call BS on the pearl clutching my delicate sensibilities are offended sanctity of marriage wagon that Phaedra hitched her donkey booty up to. I never found their marriage to be believable nor that it would last long. Phaedra would never admit this but I think this is how things went down. Phaedra reconnected with Apollo after he recently got out of jail the 1st time and it was a jump off. Phae phae was fine with doing the deed and getting down and dirty on his air mattress. Once she found out she was pregnant she jumped up and got married because of how it would look her being an unwed mother – given her being a PK (preacher’s kid) and remember the timing, her positioning herself as the southern belle on the RHoA. So you basically got married to a man you didn’t know well enough to marry and to save face – definition of sanctity (insert eye roll) Phae phae is also wrong for laying that BS excuse and going back to blaming Kenya. Besides the fact that you and Kenya had your reconciliation moment 2 years ago, where you prayed and forgave each other and more recently not even 1 day ago you had a “lets clear the air and move on” session which you didn’t mention the issues you are still holding onto in regards to Kenya. Yes, Kenya’s party was in poor taste but it wasn’t coming from a place of F#ck marriage. Plus Kandi already confirmed that you were talking to someone (at least one person) while your husband first went to jail. Sanctity. The issue I have with the grudge Phae phae is holding on to is that it is all based initially on a lie. Phaedra could have just dropped everything once Apollo admitted to lying about Kenya wanting to get with him. At that point a real adult would have said “Sorry Kenya, I believed my husband when he said you propositioned him for sex but he lied. I wish we could take back all of the hateful things we said to each other but we can’t and I am sorry for the things I said because of misinformation. We can’t take back the pain we caused each other but we can move on from this and never bring it up again”. Also the whole I can forgive but I can’t forget stance, yes while that is technically true you can’t forget but that’s when the forgiveness part kicks in and even though you remember you don’t bring it up because that’s forgiveness – you know, one of those Christian Principles you are so fond of.
  16. So is the Drag and Choke the housewives version of the Bend and Snap ala Legally Blonde?
  17. So much hot mess to sort out. I have a feeling this may be my last season with ATL after the reunion. My thoughts on the hot messerie: Kenya vs. Sheree – Score Sheree. Kenya take note, that is how you play a phony relationship on the show and come out on top of the story. Sheree chose her scheming partner well and successfully controlled the storyline while Kenya’s fell apart because her scheming partner was an unpredictable hot mess. Sheree can bow out of the fake story line and get some sympathy. (to be clear, I do not condone violence against women and Bob has shown he has not grown nor has adequate enough remorse. The car conversation was disgusting, that aside, their reconciliation story was fake) Listening vs. housewives – again the housewives prove that they are waging a war on listening. I am not often a fan of Kenya but the convo with Sheree was frustrating because every time Sheree spoke I kept thinking “That’s not what Kenya is saying. Will u be quiet and listen!” Kenya also did herself no favors by not expressing herself clearly. But then again that would be too much like avoiding drama, and you can’t have that. Kandi vs. Porsha - Can’t wait to the reunion where she will undoubtedly get raked over the coals for the admitted lie of making up the drug, rape and dungeon story. I don’t think Kandi overreacted. I think Kandi, having been in the “industry” and being a celebrity longer than any of the other housewives, knows how rumors and lies can damage a person’s reputation and marketability. Because of Porsha’s lie in today’s world of internet access to information and nothing really ever going away, Kandi’s name will always be connected to this lie. I would be choking mad if someone who I considered a friend put such a heinous lie out there about me for a show, story line and paycheck. Phaedra and the restoration BS – I seriously rolled my eyes when Phaedra suggested this. So typical of her. You pretty much have a big role in each of the battles going on with the women and now you want to look good by taking the “higher ground” and get spiritual. As those who commented, it was a complete waste of time. Phaedra, you may be a lawyer and can spin a pretty tale but you can tell there was no plan or much thought put into how to moderate the discussion to be productive. If you felt so strongly about truly getting everyone on the same page you would have done the work to prepare and guide the conversation. I can see at the reunion her position is going to be “I wanted us to get beyond this because we are all strong black women who should support one another and not tear each other down, blah blah blah” conveniently glossing over her role in all of the drama. Reunion = Hot Mess Lava Level event.
  18. For me the bigger issue around the homophobic tendencies of these ladies is that they aren't even using the correct terminology. When speaking about Kandi's dips in the lady pond (rumored or confirmed) she would be bisexual not a lesbian. Every one of the hens clucking about Kandi's sexuality knows that she is married, has been in relationships with men and has a baby daddy that one of her castmates has also dated. So their use of the term "lesbian" is meant to shame and degrade her. It was spoken in the spirit of gossip and to be seen as a negative blow on her character. Kandi, to her credit I think was willing to overlook the characterization because I think she felt that given her public life on the show no one would believe that she was a lesbian. Porsha took it too far with the drug and rape allegations, sex dungeon and 7 year relationship with a woman lie. Which reached a point that Kandi needed to address and defend her character and dispute the slander. Phaedra is keeping quiet because she knows that she is involved in bringing the subject up. I can't recall if the Phaedra, Sheree and Porsha convo where Phaedra mimed the universal fucking hand gesture about Kandi and Shamea happened before the Sheree, Porsha and Kandi convo when it was joked that Kandi was physically in the closet peeking at Porsha and Kandi's baby daddy having sex and the Kandi is in the closet subject was started to which Marlo later asked are you a lesbian. I am pretty sure I read that Phaedra has commented that she did not know she was being filmed when she made the gesture. So they have her on camera gossiping and making a allegation. So yes, Phaedra is gonna keep quiet and the crickets coming from Phaedra at the table is everything. LOL OO-OO-OO Everybody knows, this some good wine sip sip sip sip sip sip oh ya'll still tawkin bout dat lesbian stuff sip sip sip sip sip sip sip....
  19. M. Darcy, the new floater in the pool is Anthony Scaramucci. I almost had to mute my tv from all the spin he was stating. I too found him to be an ass and cut from the same cloth as the other surrogates. so frustrating - its the smuggness that gets me. Its that "I know you are lying your souless ass off and you know you are lying and deflecting but we are going to pretend" stand they all take. Answer a freakin question! My frustration is now moving to the interviewers. When are they going to grow some balls and not let them get away with not answering the questions. Even simple yes or no questions. I am waiting for someone to have the courage to call them out and say something along the lines of "I'm sorry but you are not answering the questions. We can't move on until you answer the question straight forward and clearly or tell us why you will not answer the question, now back to my original questions..."
  20. I never thought Romney was in serious consideration for a cabinet position. I always felt that it was all a play to humiliate Romney for all he said about Trump. He has proven to be a vindictive man and knowing that Romney would salivate to be Sec of State to remain relevant. The whole dog and pony show to trot him out show him kissing the ring (and basically bend over grab your ankles and smile) was Trump’s ultimate F@ck You to Romney. Being that he caved on his principles when it came to his views about Trump (as did so many other republicans – looking at you Paul Ryan) he got what he deserved – the walk of shame home complete with rumpled shirt and that look of “Is there jizz on my face?” So no cabinet position just a roadie for the Mormon Choir.
  21. I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out the appeal of Trump and why so many people connect to with him. I was having this convo with friends over drinks and this is what we came up with, hopefully it is coherent, margaritas tend to skew things LOL Here is my amateur analysis. We now live in a “get over mentality” society where most people want to feel they are getting the better of the "system". There is some joy or satisfaction we get when we can stick it to the man especially when we feel that we are oppressed, unjustly targeted, or get away with something we selfishly feel we want to. This feeling has always existed but I think the pendulum has swung so far to the extreme that there are more people trying to get over on the system now than ever before. People like that Trump has been able to “get over” on the tax system for years and is something they wish they could do. They like that when the establishment requests that he do something, i.e. release his taxes, address the obvious conflicts of interest when it comes to his businesses, he thumbs his nose at them, they like that he bucks political correctness and “tells it like it is” , something they wish they could do regardless of its racist, misogynistic, xenophobic overtones. They like that he is a business man that runs his business like he wants and answers to no one. For a large portion of the country they join him in perceived solidarity that he represents them “the little man” the “everyday man” the anti-establishment man. For all his rallying to this effect - his anti-establishment-ness ironically enough Trump has benefited greatly from the “establishment” – the tax laws as they are structured now allows him to pay hardly, if any, taxes – thanks establishment, the current voting structure allows him to become president although he did not get the popular vote – gracias establishment, the first amendment protects his right to say lies, inaccurate information and propaganda every time he opens his mouth or tweets – establishment you rock! How anyone can think he is anti-establishment is delusional.
  22. Ditto on many of the things previously mentioned: Side- eye given to Portia and her new beau. She and he mentioned that they dated for 2 years a couple of years ago but this is the first time your family has met him or seemingly heard of him? Hmmmmm very strange. Also, I can’t help it but whenever I see Portia’s mother I think O.S.T. – Old School Thot. I have trouble reconciling her family’s Civil Rights legacy and the way they represent themselves. Maybe it’s her father’s side of the family. Sheree and her delusions of grandeur. Yes, your son is handsome but that’s not enough to be successful and make it in the industry. He also needs to have the drive, interest and enthusiasm to get out there and hustle, which he hasn’t really shown. Also, the biggest pet peeve I have is when people think they know more than people with experience. Cynthia, who you went to because of her proven experience in the modelling industry, gives you some honest feedback that he is too tall to do runway respect what she has to say. The fact is she is right. For runway most designers only make items in sample sizes (for cost reasons) which is why female models are typically a size 2 or 4 and not larger. Unless you are a status model (Naomi Campbell) the designer isn’t creating something to fit your body, you as a beginning model need to fit into what they have. Same goes for males models, for runway they tend to not be over 6 ft 2 for the same reason cost of producing the garments. NY Fashion Week can be a goal but it will be hard because of many factors – race (it’s harder for models of color across the board), his height, unproven walk (which I am not expecting to be good LOL). All this being said, yes, support your son, believe in your son, hell, even pimp your son as you are currently doing, but most importantly recognize that there are those that know more than you and the fashion/modelling industry is ruthless and they will check you boo, trust and believe.
  23. Interesting perspectives on Lucifer’s leaving. I took it as the lyrics of the song and what Cookie has been through and sacrificed for him combined with her tearful reaction is what inspired him to leave and take Boo Boo Kitty and lil Boo Boo kitten and leave. Yeah he is cold heartless and ruthless but he occasionally has a moment of kindness especially where Cookie is concerned. But he will be back to his normal mean ass self tomorrow.
  24. Yes, Biggie B, she is very elegant and kind. I've seen her in person a couple of times. She gets her hair done in midtown Manhattan in the office building I used to work in and ran into her a couple of times on the elevator. One of my only fan freak out moments LOL OMG you're Mrs. Huxtable!!!!! I told her she was everybody's dream mother and she smiled and said thank you I get that a lot.
  25. I too peeped the Nessa bordering on needy/crazy with the I need you here for my family ditch your family. Wonder if there is something there... Also like the tie in with Vivica mentioning that Phylicia's character was in a sorority and she named ladies who were in AKA because I am pretty sure that Phylicia is one too but found it strange that they didn't just mention AKA. Also, I hope that wasn't some foreshadowing of Taye Diggs being killed when Phylicia mentioned and emphasized "My ONLY son" I wouldn't put it past Lucius to off him.
