I don’t quite understand why they don’t go to trade schools. They might be taught a skill by some ungodly person, so their skill wouldn’t be godly? They might accidentally have sex with their fellow students? Oh, never mind-I just realized what the problem is. They might make friends, or friends, outside the cult. Seems like JB has very little faith in his children’s faith.

You’d think that by his third year in law school, Derrick would have grasped this. By my husband’s third year, or probably sooner, even I had understood that only government action can violate the constitution. And Derrick can be an idiot, but he isn’t actually stupid-he must have learned it too. So I’m not sure that’s the point he’s going for. I’m not entirely sure there even is a point. He seemed to ramble a lot throughout the video.

He did not say he doesn’t have law school loans, so I can only assume he does have law school loans. When the existence of his loan debt inevitably becomes known, he’ll be able to say that he never said he didn’t have law school loans! And also, probably, something like this: ‘It’s Not Wrong If I Do It, Because I Have Important, God-And-Family-Related Reasons That No One Else Has And I Am Not Just Buying A Bunch Of Brand New IPhones Like The Heathen Sinners Do And Anyway I Am Inherently Superior To All Of You, You Don’t Get To Tell Me What’s Right Or Wrong.’ (Then he’ll delete that part and refuse to reply to any questions about it.) I’m delighted that Jill and Derrick forced some money out of Jim Bob’s icy, slimy fist. They are showing no fear of him. I hope it gets them a lot of views. They seem happy together and it looks like they’ve figured out how to make their marriage work for both of them. That’s more than a lot of couples manage.

So true. Going by how we remember our childhood, it seems like my twin sister and I had completely different parents. I hadn’t really thought about this in relation to the Duggars, maybe because they’re so boring that I feel they barely have personalities. But they do, they have different individual natures at least. Hmm.

If we start a thread for them, I vote we call it “Kindergarten Marriage.” Or maybe “He’s HOW old?” Or, of course, “There’s a Justin?”

There’s messy, there’s dirty, and then there’s feces on your dresser. There may be a slope from messy to dirty, but that next stage isn’t a natural progression. It’s disgusting beyond belief and it’s a health hazard. I do not know what the environment in the TTH must have been like, for her to think that that’s normal, or not a big deal, or even something that would ever happen at all in anyone else’s house. *shudders* And it does leave me wondering also if she washes her hands after diaper changes, or if she’s just too busy to fuss over “tiny details” like that. 🙄

If Jana really wants to start a business, she ought to take some business classes online or maybe eventually at the local college. I’m sure JB thinks he can teach her everything she needs to know, or more likely just try to take over, but she really should learn about things herself. Her name will be on it. I wonder if she’d be allowed to take a class on her own or if Jim Boob would go with her every week, lol. Maybe online would be better.
