I don't give up unto the very end, but the one bit of comfort I have, if Trump does win and sends this country into the worst depression and social crisis we've ever known, I can tell me right wing relatives so STFU, it's all their fault. No, it's not much comfort, but they won't be a to blame one little thing on the Democrats, and I'll be the one bitching about our divisive leadership for a change.

Come through, North Carolina! It's going to be close. There were some technical issues in Durham, which would affect a lot of African American votes, but the polls there will be extended to 8:30 now. So, it looks like even though most of the polls are closing soon, we won't know for another 60-90 minutes.

My mom (a conservative Catholic) just texted me that she voted all Republican down ballot today...and did not vote for Trump! She hasn't said who she voted for, but I'm proud of her for not giving him her vote.

The local political ads have morphed into white noise for me for the most part, so I'm noticing the Tangerine Nightmare's newest ads more lately. It's like they all take place in a Bizarro World. All this time I thought the country has been doing better since the crushing recession of 2008, but I've been wrong! Ivanka says we don't know the wonderful, caring dad she grew up with (OMG, he's really such a sweetie!). Voting for Hillary (cast against the background of a Federal prison yard) will bring about the same: no jobs (despite unemployment at an all- time low)! more crime! (despite violent crime being at an all-time low). Voting for Trump? 20% lower taxes for individuals! $5000 in child care tax credits! 35% lower taxes for business owners! More jobs! Don't ask how, just believe me!

Obama is speaking at UNC Chapel Hill today, so that will hopefully get some Millenials excited. Hillary and Bernie will be here tomorrow.

Kellyanne made me sick to my stomach. Literally. Glad Whoopi wouldn't let her get away with deflecting every answer back to Hillary. Also loved Joy's response to how wonderful Melania is, and how she dreamed of coming to this country and marrying a rich American. Yes, like EVERY immigrant that ever came to this country!

Some members of a local NC morning radio team said they were voting for Burr even though he hasn't done anything good as a Senator, he hasn't done anything bad. I'm sure they won't even blink at this. I was a cub reporter on the country beat for a small-town newspaper back when Burr was a Congressman for that district, and I thought he was an asshole even then.

My brother-in-law sat next to Bill Clinton at a local bar in Atlanta just a few months ago. My BIL even got his face on Fox News! Though he usually votes Republican, even he said he was pretty impressed with Bill, and that it was a pretty cool experience.

I just flew back home to North Carolina after a week in NYC, and went straight the polls to vote. The line was relatively short, the weather was beautiful, and everyone in line was really pleasant. I've convinced myself most of them were Democrats. It took about a half hour, so I went and got my car washed, and picked up some vodka and Thai food for dinner. So all in all, a good Saturday.

Hillary just held a brief press conference calling for the FBI and Comey to give more details ASAP. I know it's a whole lot of nothing, but news channels are still calling it a "bombshell". smh

Today I noticed Kellyanne had her hair done. Styled and dyed a little darker. Her makeup also looked better, so she's not giving off such a Crypt Keeper vibe. She still sucks. Even after being exposed calling Trump a whiner when she was on Cruz's side, she spins everything back to Hillary. It's so childish. "So, why is it okay for Hillary to blahblahblahblah." She's like a petulant teenager who complains how unfair it is her younger siblings get away with everything she can't.
