  1. Ha, Whoopi's Svengoolie Xmas sweater is making me smile. I'm going to need to one now.
  2. I didn't realize Anoop had gotten into acting. I remember seeing him outside a Mexican restaurant in Chapel Hill after American Idol...absolutely surrounded by women. He's a cutie. I really like his character. The restored Baron! The Hellhound and the Sire! I want them to have their own spinoff. The makeover montage was perfection.
  3. No, drag queens are not going to schools for book readings. Some local libraries around the country have hosted drag queen storytimes, and parents choose to bring their kids to them. In Ana's case, I believe she's referring to a drag brunch spot in Miami that is being targeted by Ron DeSantis. Again, if parents choose to bring their kids to an all-ages drag show, it's their choice, not the government's. DeSantis is a huge hypocrite regarding parental rights.
  4. I had the show on in the background while I worked. I listened to her for about 15 seconds going on about that ridiculous "poll" and had had enough.
  5. I read that Look magazine article years ago (you can find it online). It's more horrific reading than the episode showed. But I was happily reminded that the Bryant store went out of business and they all went bankrupt because of what they did. The series was really well done though.
  6. Moving this from one of the episode threads: I'm sure someone's (maybe me) already suggested Snuff Box too. "Whiskeyyyy!"
  7. "She’d triggered my postpartum anxiety..." I thought only libs get triggered. Jr. "wrote" a book about it. "When other women come back from maternity leave on “The View,” they are welcomed with confetti and baby presents." That's nice. Most offices just have a baby shower before maternity leave. I've never seen confetti when someone came back. "Call me naïve, but when I came back to work after having a baby, I expected to be treated with respect." Meghan, you're naïve. You sort of have to earn respect to be given it. I don't have kids, so I can appreciate the pain and work that goes with having them, but that doesn't mean your obnoxious ways are instantly forgiven. She sounds absolutely exhausting to work with. It's nice that's she's for paid maternity and family leave NOW that it's affected her, but her tribe ain't listening.
  8. Ah, I thought getting the jalopy would mean a road trip. This should be fun.
  9. Because of this post taking a swipe at VP Harris' tweet about enjoying the long weekend. I'm not sure how she managed to fit in gambling and shots with all that praying she's supposedly doing.
  10. Apparently, Meghan was deeply offended by that giant Q-tip because she keeps bringing it up. Maybe it was just one brother dunking on his older brother's looks. I don't know, I'm not a snowflake like Meghan.
  11. However, I don't remember her saying a word about her father-in-law when he was under investigation for ethics violations. Hmm, is Meg being a tad hypocritical?
  12. I'm in Metro Atlanta. I was able to get gas on Tuesday, no problem. But then, I'm not trying to hoard gas in garbage bags.
  13. This always bugs me, especially when Meghan says it. Tomato, tomahto, okay , but does anyone actually say potahto??
  14. I was born in 1968. My mom laid me on the dashboard of our Buick while she lit up a Lucky Strike. 😄
  15. How can she even THINK of giving birth if she can't go out and buy a crib in person?
  16. Does she ever get tired of being owned so badly every time she tries this?
  17. Not to be an "actually" person, but In English slang, it's just "I don't give a monkey's" and the listener is free to fill in the rest themselves. Like, "I don't give a monkey's left nut..." Matt's an amazing musician. He's delved into a few genres, but definitely hovers in the late Sixties/early Seventies. His Opium album is one of my all-time favorites, and I've had it on every device I've owned since it came out. I'd describe Opium as like prog rock/space age lounge music with a little William Shatner.
  18. Oh, yes! Many, many "one of my best friends". Mostly conservative talking heads and Clay Aiken.
  19. Um, did the intelligent congressman forgot to turn off his text notifications while on Skype?
  20. Hey guys! Haven't watched the show or commented in a long time. Working from home, I have it on in the background sometimes. I actually work for one of the companies featured on the show last week (beauty products). We are not tiny, but are considered a small business by industry standards. I think our prices are good, and we make high-quality products. Our warehouse is also doing AMAZING getting orders out on time. Just my two cents. A lot of the items on the morning shows are crap and overpriced (I've bought them). It's hit or miss. But I can vouch for the supporting small businesses claim.
  21. I just found this forum, and while I enjoy the old Match Games and TattleTale from the '70s, I've really grown fond of the What's My Line, I've Got a Secret and To Tell the Truth episodes from the 1960s. They're before my time, but I like the fashions some of the guests and panelists wear. That said, Buzzr seems to have removed them from the schedule for July, which is sad. Especially weekday mornings, I get up at 5am and like to put on my makeup while watching them. So much nicer than having to watch the news. 😞
  22. "We're on drug blood". "No, no, Nandor. That's the Stairmaster. The master of the stairs." "Lazlo was very nearly summoned when he turned a baby into a vampire which is a big NONO...It's true, you're not supposed to do that, but to be honest, I was bored." That episode has so many gems, but Lazlo's lines are my favorites. Kristen Schaal's vamp are my second favorite. "We sent ravens...WE SENT 500 RAVENS!"
  23. Hm, it seems she shows more compassion for her very comfortable frenemy than she does for children separated from their parents living in unsanitary conditions...That's our Meghan! Right, Dana Loesch is "brave". Maybe Meg is starting to worry that she someday might be in the same position for her own "bravery" (we can only hope).
  24. Lol, so wait. She defended her Red State cred and didn't dispute the fact that her husband is a bigot Trumper (or that, like, she's totally a part of that crowd).
