  1. Seriously, Meg, you can be a Democrat and a capitalist. Ugh, she will never understand concepts like collecting unemployment or needing Medicaid or Obamacare because she will always have her family's money.
  2. First, I need to comment on the animation this season (and last season). I'm loving the winter clothes they have for all the characters. The kids were especially colorful with their snowsuits and sleds. Also, I've been noticing a little extra something with the kids' animation in that the positions of their heads when they're talking are becoming more detailed. When they're speaking to adults, they are tilting their heads upwards a little more. When they're watching something, they're craning their necks a little more. And the dancing has always been great, but the artists seem to have studied actual dancers more. Just a few more reasons why I love this show. Also Mandy and the rest of the girls throwing snowballs at Logan was awesome.
  3. I like Gemma. She reminds me of when I lived in London. I kind of like her songs too.
  4. I've seen that GIF a million times and had no idea that was him! I like the shorter hair. Jason's Elf on the Shelf was funny, but I was really impressed by the elf costumes. They really did look like the dolls. I've never actually seen Game of Thrones, but it's just something I know about, even if I'm not familiar with all the details, and I really enjoyed the Ghost Dojo sketch. I think it was the sponsors like Little Beard Twisties. "Want to keep your beard neat, but still loose and crazy?" Plus, googly eyes, Talking Dojo, and Keenan always doing the best TV show host characters.
  5. Zeke appreciates Tina more than Jimmy Jr will ever!
  6. I think the snow monster is my favorite character in that whole thing. He never actually hurts anyone.
  7. Stuff like this convinces me that every morning show sets their agenda of topics by reading Facebook and Twitter. And I'm more convinced that I should be writing for these shows given the time I spend online. Anyway, my friends and I (Gen Xers) have been mocking that song for years for being kind of skeevy. It's not just the #MeToo movement. I just hate that's it's considered a Christmas classic and played on Christmas radio every year. I love songs from the 40's and 50s, but I'm not a fan of this at all. On that note, we've also been mocking Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer for about as long. Santa's a dick, and Hermie is a monster for pulling out Bumble's teeth without novocaine. I do love it, though. Call me cynical, but I think the radio station did it so they'd go viral.
  8. Yikes, that's bad. I wonder--I don't have any FL where I now live--did Food Lion stop using the lion in their ads after PETA protested? I loved that lion. He was such a handsome guy.
  9. Him too. Drunk uncles think they're the same person.
  10. Meg being hostile to her co-hosts and guests is bad enough, but her hostility towards the audience is unacceptable. She should be fired just for that attitude (yeah, I know it will never happen). I couldn't believe she brought Leo into this. He's literally one person everyone's rightwing, drunk uncle brings up when they want to bitch about "the Hollywood elite". She should at least try to be more original.
  11. Those bears are adorable. I lived in London for awhile, and always felt like they did Christmas so well with the street lights, mince pies and spiced wine, and some really heartwarming ads on TV. Also, there's nothing like hearing Slade's "Merry Xmas Everybody" in every shop along Oxford Street. This YouTube channel does yearly compilations of Christmas ads from the UK.
  12. I died when Linda first greeted agoraphobic lady with her frantic waving. Then, when Linda and Teddy trying to restrain themselves the second time she came in. I don't know if it's David Wain's voicework, but I just love Courtney. She's always so enthusiastic about creative endeavors. Doug may think he knows best, but she has her own artistic vision.
  13. Ha, I just gave a whole round of likes on this subject. I like some country music, and some country performers. I'll always love Willie Nelson, because he's awesome, and Dolly because she's Dolly. But some country performers are assholes, just like some rock/pop/rap musicians are assholes. Abby shouldn't generalize.
  14. All of this! I was actually looking forward to that segment. I know the film is getting poor reviews but as a lifelong fan of Queen, I'm still curious to see it. Now I'm bummed out and feel bad for the actors.
  15. Of course, everything is about Megan and her grief. Up until then it was a fun interview.
  16. Um, yes and no. I have a pixie cut for reasons. It's short all over! And it's not highlighted, it's all brown! Look! I have a nostril peircing! My mother named me after Karen Carpenter. Little did she know.
  17. Is your name Karen? If so, then, no. (I'm a Karen, and I was just recently joking with my sister Kathy about that. So unfair, I have never, ever asked to speak to a manager.)
  18. Exactly. I think anyone who knows world history knows that would be possible. Therefore, Meghan, liberals would probably not be going crazy.
  19. Meghan is one of those people who reads stories online about the Royals and registers or logs in for the sole purpose of leaving a "Who cares? comment. And does she dislike English people just because they were "the bad guys" back in the day? We won, Meg. Get over it.
  20. Ugh, I'm going to get in trouble for getting political, but the "both sides" argument is a right leaning tactic to deflect from their shortcomings. The left consistently owns up to their missteps to their own detriment. Just look at Al Franken. Ok, Hillary defended her husband in regards to #Metoo, but remember Bill was impeached. You wanna be fair? IMPEACH TRUMP FOR LYING! IMPEACH KAVANAUGH FOR LYING! That's where Whataboutism is a joke. OK, both sides do it, just take responsibility for your side, goddamnit. On topic; Meghan admitted to her Whataboutism. Good for her. I don't believe Joy and Sunny do that half as much as much as Meghan does.
  21. Given Frond's age, I'm guessing he was a fan of the Fourth Doctor, Tom Baker. And I believe PBS owned the US rights to that series. at least during the late seventies/early eighties. I can picture Frond still making and selling those iconic Fourth Doctor scarves on Etsy.
  22. Thanks to Cosentyx, Mitzi can make sandwiches for her big hungry guys and attend their games! Just watch her! You go girl!
  23. Nat the limo driver and Tirimisu Warehouse were my favorite parts of V for Valentine-detta. I agree about focusing on the family as a unit. I tend to like the episodes where the family is together for most of the show, so the Thanksgiving and Christmas eps are actually my favorites. That said, I watched Something Old, Something New again yesterday, and it's kind of a perfect episode for me. Plus, I found the DIY wedding pretty sweet in the end, and I love Bob and Linda's song.
