  1. With @cooksdelight help I found this summary: The finalists were to pick their sous chefs in an anonymous tasting of their dishes from the challenge. Paul scored Barbara, Chris Crary, Ty-Lor Boring, and Keith Rhodes. Sarah would work with Nyesha Arrington, Heather Terhune, Grayson Schmitz, and Tyler Stone (who judge Tom Colicchio eliminated from the first 29 for his awful butchering skills while still in the kitchen).
  2. Funny I was paying more attention to the intro this time and thought "That girl in the red bow is stunning-- who is that? Which one is Coryanne?" And I see that she's now got this frizzy hairstyle. I thought she looked much better before her makeover. I know that was ages ago, but I only half pay attention to this show :)
  3. She's awesome. This show is a lot of fun. And I have a crush on Ezra.
  4. I think he went to Sally as the mole because he saw her looking at the money. I also thought there was some chemistry brewing.
  5. The most interesting thing that Raven and Nick could find to talk about (other than, you know) was ironing vs steaming?
  6. totally agree. And where was the RC that was so cold outside? Looked like November in NYC but I thought this was mostly in LA?
  7. Nope. Beverly Kim was. Season 9. Kristen was the next season. I do think that the conditions of her boot due to Josie contributed to the sympathy for her.
  8. and for a crossover to Top Chef, the finale in Mexico had a guest Quickfire judge (local chef) wearing a heavily embroidered shirt.
  9. she sure has a lot of them doesn't she? I hadn't realized since most are usually covered.
  10. tomorrow?
  11. Has anyone figured out the "car salesman"? I mean, most car salesmen aren't rich, and it didn't seem like he owned the joint since I seem to recall him "being removed from the dealership" once he was dumped. So why would he be a mark?
  12. ^ yeah I think the Sheldon-lovers (and I do like him) are not willing to admit that he just plain messed up. It happens. And he's not going to get a pass for that mess of a fish he put on the plate.
  13. that's probably the same reason that on HGTV or Million Dollar Listing shows the art work is blurred. Otherwise they'd have to pay royalties for showing it. So the homes are probably "staged" to some degree.
  14. So I'm pretty new to this franchise (only since Ben). Does it ever happen that the ring is given, and accepted, and then by the time of ATFR (which I gather is live? in Real Time that is?) that the couple is already kaput (and admits it)? Or do they always put on a lovey dovey show for a few months at least?
  15. Yeah I live in suburban NYC (not a chef) and it's really hard to not to pick up a bit, just at the grocery store or looking at store signs.
  16. I don't know about Mexico but there were plenty of ladies on the beach offering to sell me braids in the Bahamas in 1997. I passed.
  17. I think it means his Spanish is far worse than mine, which is almost non-existent!
  18. I agree, it did do something funny to her eyes. And that "Secrets" resort which was the QF prize? Is that the one that has really obnoxiously suggestive ads (at least to me) on *constantly* on whatever show I happen to be watching?
  19. I had to watch this a couple times to (sort of) figure it out. So the woman in the bar was "Heller's courier" whatever that means, and somehow what was in the briefcase proves Heller is skimming money. So I guess maybe they picked him as the mark partly because they were suspicious of him? It sounds like he was already working for the Doctor ("the launderer has been stealing the laundry"). I think she's playing a stereotype of an over-analyzed, high strung, high maintenance person, not someone from "the hood."
  20. They couldn't spend a few dollars to make Georgina (on the TV) not sound like she was at the bottom of a well?
  21. I thought Ashley's flat hair looked awful in judging panel. It made her look dumpy, which I've never thought before.
  22. Is the production boat the "yacht"? Or some kind of support boat? If it's the yacht this may make for an interesting episode! Also I guess Kate solved her "personal problems"?
  23. I had ALL those same thoughts! I actually thought it was weird that she served them as they sat (like a waitress or maid) then sat at the table (like a family member). I mean if a "mom" or "dad" did that we'd think "what a bunch of entitled kids" instead of them setting the table, etc.
  24. I cannot imagine doing that, at any point in my life, to someone I'm dating.
