  1. I LOVE Tobias Menzies however he's given to me. Even in a dumb 1700s wig. I hadn't started watching "The Honourable Woman" yet, because my dvr is overloaded, but now that I know Tobias isn't around for more than a couple of episodes, I might not start the show at all. Harrumph!
  2. I couldn’t stop thinking about Wade throughout the entire 2-hours. I naively thought that Nigel might mention Wade in a very delicate way, I don’t know, I’m sure there are legal reasons all surrounding this whole crap-bag, but it’s just another reason why they NEVER, no matter how much money they got from the company putting out MJ’s new “songs”, never should have gone through with this theme show. I for one was ECSTATIC that Rudy went home. He should have done so weeks ago. I also don’t understand all of the Casey hate – he’s really very good. Valerie should have been cut loose and not Tanisha who is a much more dynamic and over-all great dancer. And Tanisha’s body is SICK. Jessica/Will and Zack/Mackenzie were the dances of the night for me. God bless you Lindsey, I needed that laugh so much!!
  3. This was the first episode where I didn't want to gut-punch Carter so that's an improvement. I continue to love Taylor and Max and of course Grant. I really really hope that the writers come up with a better story than "David and Lori/Janet had an affair that went poorly and Lori/Janet lost her damn mind". C'mon guys, please make it have more depth than that. At least if they're going with the idea that David had a sexual relationship with Janet, I hope there's more to the reason that Lori/Janet decided to kidnap Carter. Also, one thing that I've wondered since we knew about Carter and Taylor being twins was whether Lori had tried to kidnap both girls but was only able to get Carter away? I think there are untapped aspects to that either way. Overall, this show has been the surprise of the summer for me! I'm excited to watch it each week. The more Lori they reveal on this show, the more that she terrifies me. THANK YOU meatball77. I work in a hospital. IRL, hospitals definitely have nurseries but they aren’t typically accessible to just any old passerby, and like many rooms in hospitals they often have windows but not ones where you can read the newborn’s name etc. because of Personal Health Information violation risks. This tv trope is one of my least favorite.
  4. I was heartbroken for Wyatt last night, and it pissed me off that all of Callie's anger about the fight was directed at him and not at all at Brandon. Give me a break! I do want Wyatt to remain in her life as a friend because, well, I f*cking love Wyatt. I see where you guys are coming from re: Mat and his rather patronizing and controling ways, but y'all I'm sorry to admit - I'm totally a Mat. Pedantic to a fault (his comment about flamenco being Spanish and not Mexican made me LOL); a know-it-all that thinks they know best about what others need - so I get him and really like him with Marianna. I thought their scenes together last night were pretty great. This was an episode where Teri Polo outshined everyone else. What she did with Stef was perfection.
  5. I'm all for Eli getting the spotlight! Although I'm super biased - I grew up with the guy in Washington, D.C.
  6. Omigawd! Thank you, GaT! I'm all for David being sneaky and trying to bust Elizabeth (although I wish the writing was better), but there is no f*cking reason why he would know what that hotel key-card was for!! I hope this all backfires on him in some way because he is the worst. My frustration with Carter reached new heights in this ep. Her schmoopy ridiculousness with Crash, every conversation with Elizabeth, the fact that she didn't IMMEDIATELY QUESTION LORI ABOUT WHY SHE WAS KIDNAPPED...sigh I just really wanted to punch her. And there wasn't enough Grant in this episode! Boo.
  7. I kind of liked the "7 minutes in Heaven" stuff, only because I'm 'shipping Max and Taylor so hard. I just love them together. Speaking of Max, was anyone else scared that Lori was going to crack him over the head with a lead pipe as she approached him outside of the house? She is a full-on lunatic.
  8. Olivia for President, er, Prime Minister!
  9. I watched the last 30 min of this last night and kind of wished I hadn't. I was just so infuriated with everyone and everything.
  10. What an (intentionally?) unfortunate screen-grab of Brandon's mope face at the top of the recap. :-) FACT: We all need a little Lena Adams Foster in our lives. Danny Nucci was amazing in this episode. I thought Mike’s reactions, his rage-control, and finally his acceptance of facts and his arrest of Dani were some of the best acting we’ve seen on this show. I agree that Mariana’s story line has the potential go somewhere really interesting in regards to racial identity and self-acceptance. Each time the story starts to go there, they pull back, but I keep hoping. I also keep expecting them to have Mat start mentoring Mariana on her dance moves, because IRL Jordan Rodrigues who plays Mat, is an incredible dancer. I’m actually pleasantly surprised with the way the writers are handling the dynamic between him and Mariana. Is it bad that I kind of hope Hayley harms Jesus in some way? I just cannot deal with this story line any longer. I’m very worried about this Sophia girl. She seems unstable to say the least.
  11. What I'm super confused about is that I thought Callie had told Wyatt about Liam raping her! In Season 1 there was that episode where Liam confronted her at school and Wyatt stepped in and punched(?) him. I thought she'd told Wyatt about Liam then, but I guess she only told him that Liam was her former foster-brother that she'd had a "beef" with? Anyway, my misrembering of this detail made me really uneasy with the way that they handled the Callie/Wyatt sex thing; although Wyatt was sweet and understanding as always.
  12. Spencer Hastings, I've been saying the same thing since the second episode. I find Carter so annoying, and I'm angry at what seems to be lazy or unfocused writing that's making her character that way. ITA In2You. Also? Alex Saxon, please marry me. I know that I'm 20+ years older than you, but I'm sure we can make it work!
  13. God yes! In fact, can we just have a show about Max, Taylor, and Grant? They're the only people I care about on this show so far. I had no plans on watching this show originally but got pulled in just as it was starting and I ended up glued to my couch for 2 hours. I agree with you for the most part RachelKM. I don't think we're supposed to like Carter at all at this point, but I'm not sure how many more episodes I'll be able to stand if they don't begin a redemptive arc with Carter soon. Especially regarding her relationship with Elizabeth. I'm very curious to see what reason they have "Lori" give for why she committed the kidnapping in the first place. At any rate, I'm on board for the time being. Also, have I mentioned my love for Alex Saxon? Having him on my television twice a week is making me very happy.
  14. My best friend and I use "Stop eating crab wrong!" whenever we can. We dissolve into fits of laughter each time. I'm quite sure people at restaurants hate us now.
  15. Thanks Obviously! I remember the conversation with Rosamund now. And of course I remembered her setting up her secret plan with the farmer dude; I just thought that this had happened before the birth, but it did indeed happen after the baby had already been placed with the Swiss couple. Man, it's amazing what details can fly right out of your brain. ANYWAY...Edith's story line (and maybe Tom's) is seriously the only one I care about for season 5. Mary and whichever suitor she chooses can go away and eat bees.
  16. "Breastfeeding her newborn"? I have ZERO memory of this. I don't even remember her giving birth to the baby. I guess I'm going to have to rewatch the last episode of this past season. Edith has, from the very beginning, been my favorite character. Mary can suck it.
  17. ITA. I really like the way they’ve captured all the ‘feelings’ involved when you’re dealing with, and/or are in the foster care system. True. But this is an example of how the writers do a pretty good job of capturing how teens truly speak. I think it’s a testament to the writers that I find myself simultaneously wanting to slap Marianna and take her shopping and out for fro-yo to gab about boys. She acts exactly like many 15 yr old girls I know. My poor beautiful Wyatt. I am going to cry buckets of tears if/when Callie breaks your heart. Also, if I could spend just 15 min a day brushing Alex Saxon’s hair, I would be a much calmer and more balanced person. I typically am a person who fast-forwards over opening credits. Yet, each week I find myself singing along to The Fosters theme song at top volume. I haven’t gone as far as buying the single, but I’m not far off.
  18. These two items were my biggest problem with last night's episode and possibly my biggest problems with the show as a whole. I read and loved the book that is the source material for this; I usually don't have an issue with adaptations taking license to make drastic changes. But most of the changes this show is making don't make any sense. At this point I'm super frustrated with this show, but I know that I'm going to watch it to the bitter end because I won't be able to NOT watch it. Also, I love Justin Theroux and Chris Eccleston and I like just having them on my tv every week.
  19. I'm ashamed to admit how much I missed this crap show. I re-watched the season 1 finale on Friday morning in preparation for last night's S2 premier. I really had an issue with Joanna getting "healed" so quickly. Unless Frederick actually did some other curse on her that comes into play later, it just felt like lazy writing. I have only read one of the books, so I don't know how close they have or will continue to be to the source material.
  20. You nailed my feelings completely, gardencrown. I felt obligated to throw these girls some votes only because I felt like they got a raw deal. Jordan's audition was in my top 5 fave audition solos of all time. She has talent for days and I think she deserves to show it off.
  21. I guess I'm in the minority, except for Monty, but I love Casey. My two other favorite guys are Stanley and Zach. None of the girls are standouts yet for me, but I'm sure some favorites will emerge in the weeks to come. I also agree that while Nick and Jessica were good, their routine was over-praised. But guys, I'm just so happy to have SYTYCD back on my tv every week!
  22. I only found out yesterday that Brendan Fehr and Scott Wolf, two of my favorites (seriously - I have an unhealthy devotion to the casts of both "Party of Five" and "Roswell") were on this show. So I binged on-demand and watched all the episodes in one evening. There is much that is stupid and awful on this show, but the good stuff - ALL of Drew's story lines; the commraderie of the staff - make up for it and I've sort of fallen in love with the show. Drew and Rick broke my heart. I'm really rooting for them now that everything is out in the open. Excited to see where the writers take their story.
  23. Fingers crossed that "The Fosters" continues to handle this story line with grace and aplumb. I think Wyatt IS still living on Daphne's couch, even though she's not supposed to have anyone at her place. I'm assuming this might become a storyline later. Also, my love affair with Wyatt's hair continues full speed ahead.
  24. ITA paramitch. I could not care less about the Victor/Caliban/bride storyline for much of this season, and now it's something that I'm actually looking forward to in Season 2. I have a soft-spot for Dorian Gray and think that hair aside, Reeve Carney did a great job. I'm intrigued to see how they incorporate Dorian more into the "gang". Can we have Dorian sing next season maybe? Reeve has an amazing voice. Also needed for next season? Sembene's full back story!! I was so worried that he was going to die in this finale ep. Josh Hartnett was a f*cking revelation in this beautiful show! Has this talent really been in him all along?
  25. I LOVED this gametime and kicked ass at it because I, nerd that I am, used to collect television show themed board games. I still have over 30 in my collection. Trip if you need help developing a sequel to this game I would be happy to help!!
