I have difficulty blaming any of Whit's weight on PCOS simply for the fact that we constantly see her making poor food and health choices-and those are just the times that appear on film.

I mean, Whitney is a beast of a person (and it has nothing to do with her weight) but, honestly, the people who admire her and follow her around with their noses up her butt scare me even more.

I hate that it jumped basically from her meeting him online to her doing cosplay BDSM. Two years passed between the episodes and I feel like we missed something. But "real life" information doesn't fill in the blanks either.

I don't know. I was obsessed with sex until I actually had it and the novelty wore off.

Oh, I hear you. I'm already preparing for my midnight Handmaid premier party. I agree. I've seen a few videos of Dee and she comes across as almost goofy and energetic (yet fake) whereas Patricia is playing her a lot more slowed down. She's doing a good job of capturing a character, but I'm not so sure that it's Dee's character that she's capturing.

So I went back and re-watched the episode again. Eddie Island bouncing onto the stage like a kangaroo on a Thrive patch actually pissed me off a little bit. IMO it wasn't so much that Lukas was telling him to be "serious" as it was a nice attempt at encouraging him to be professional. He and his voice are growing on me and I don't dislike him, but at times I think he verges on disrespectful. Now, with that said...if he was on the show to just kind of troll the whole thing, I could *almost* get behind that and even respect him for it. As is, though, I think he honestly just thinks he's being "quirky."

To be honest, there are SO many televised talent shows (The Voice, America's Got Talent, American Idol, the X Factor, etc.) that I usually only remember the people who REALLY stand out. I average about 1 person per 4 seasons.

That's what I assumed. Is it sad that I start refreshing my account starting at 11:59pm?

Or on Hulu a few minutes after midnight! I work during the nights and I always start early on Tuesday so that I can take an hour off at around 11:30 pm so that I can get ready for either this one or The Handmaid's Tale.

There's extensive information available about this on the various documentaries out there. From the previews for next week, too, it looks like we might be getting a glimpse into Gypsy's early life, which isn't something we've seen a lot of anywhere.

So the kids get lessons on the day before the challenge. ie. if cooking duck is going to be the challenge, they're all taught to cook duck the day before. That's been known for a while. However, I now believe that they're told what to cook PERIOD and they're getting individualized instructions for it. It didn't used to be like that, but I now believe it is. The way they rattle off these dishes and appear to be reading cue cards has me side-eyeing things. Also, I can buy that they're able to cook some of these things but creating dishes and coming up with obscure combinations is an entirely different skill set and one that comes with time and experience. I just don't buy that these kids have it.

To me, Madison is vocally strong, but her voice doesn't stand out to me in any way. She hits the notes, can sing the song, and she has good pitch but I've heard dozens of other girls just like her. I doubt I'll remember her when the season is over. There's no standout backstory for her and there are at least 2 of her every season. I like her, but I forget about her the moment the episode ends. While Laci may not have the range that Madison does, as soon as she starts singing I know who she is.She also has, what traditional country music lovers used to call, a "tear" in her voice. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love it. So many country women scream their songs these days; I'm glad to just sit back and listen to someone sing. We don't have to agree on everyone, though. Some people really like Evelyn and I still feel like I'm standing in the parade watching the naked emperor walk by every time she gets up and sings, ha ha.

Yeah, her celebrity duet-er encouraged her to let that pony run. The pony should've stayed inside the fence.

Ever since someone said that Evelyn sounds like Dory trying to speak "whale" I haven't been able to unhear it. I didn't really have feelings about Raquel one way or the other until last night and now I'm glad she's gone. Strike one was that she'd never heard of "Tiny Dancer." Girlfriend, if you're going to be a singer, then it helps to have a good understanding of present and past musical influencers. So she'd heard of "Lovefool", a 90's era Swedish band song that is rarely heard anymore but not a culturally significant hit that STILL gets played on movie soundtracks? Strike two was when she didn't understand the lyrics of "Tiny Dancer." Maybe she's been living under a rock, I can accept that, but if she was trying to be cute in saying that the guy was singing about himself, she failed. Strike three was when she thought it was a great time to let all those runs go wild. No. Just no. I didn't mind Eddie's voice last night. I felt secondhand embarrassment, though, at the way in which he treated the song. It's okay to be serious sometimes, dude. Alessandro and Ben Harper were beautiful together. Chris Issak was the only celebrity singer I was familiar with. It was interesting, though, how most of the famous singers had two songs, yet Issaks and Harper only had one.

I think so, too. I'm betting the F3 will be Laci, Laine, and Jeremiah with a Laci/Laine showdown at the end (Laine winning it all). I'm interested to see what the voters will do when we're able to start calling it in. We'll probably know within the first few eliminations what the endgame's going to be.

I didn't really "get" her. She was perfectly fine, but up against some of the others, I found her forgettable. I loved the Cardigans and "Lovefool" (I actually loved the whole "Romeo + Juliet" soundtrack). However, I was underwhelmed by Raquel's version of it last week. It wasn't just that the original was a cute song, but Nina Persson's delivery of it, as well as the 90's synthesization, was what helped make it special. While I can appreciate Raquel trying to put a little funky style to it, and slowing it down to kind of make it her own, it just didn't work for me. Sometimes it's not so much the song as the delivery, and that's how I felt about the Cardigan's version of it. Eddie Island is another one I'm not really understanding. How did he manage to slip in here when so many good people have already left? And I swear I'd never heard Kate until last week.

Trivia: Chip Taylor, who wrote "Angel of the Morning", gets songwriting credit for Shaggy's "Angel." It's no secret that Shaggy sampled it.

Laci Kaye. And from the pictures of her from when she was younger, the teeth are not new. Is my family the only ones who thought that Brett Young looked like he was on something? During rehearsals, his eyes were bloodshot and watery and his pupils tiny pinpricks. He looked better during the performance. I'm no fan of his, or most modern country music in general, but I thought Laci did a fine job. Uche, Shawn, and Kate were all underwhelming for me. I thought Shaggy did a good job with Bumbly in trying to help her showcase her voice. I wanted more of him. My 7-year-old has a huge crush on him and I promised her that I wouldn't watch it on Hulu until she came back from school. She was confused about the format, though, and worried that he might get voted off.

I don't know. Don't underestimate Pat Benatar and Shaggy. "Love is a Battlefield" is still played at my son's middle school dances and the last time I chaperoned a bunch of kids I was surprised when "Angel" came on and they all started singing with it.

If it's like mine then it's just genetic. It sucks, but I also inherited big boobs from my mom so it kind of evens out.

I would LOVE it if one of these episodes turned out to be the victim just scamming the accused. Every time they do an episode like this, no matter how much evidence they're lacking at the beginning, by the end the accuser turns out to be right. WHY was Liv doing grunt work on this case? Her micromanaging is real.

I know this post is super old but...I backpacked Europe half a dozen times by myself. Hungary had, by far, the most difficult language to catch onto. People often asked me how I was able to get around the city on their subway when I couldn't read their language. It's because I wasn't looking at the map, or subway stops, as words-I was looking at them as groups of letters like symbols and "matching" them to the ones in my guidebook. One doesn't need to be able to read the language to read a map. I really didn't get that about Cortney at all. That was the least of my issues with her, though.

So I'm way behind the times, but after watching S2 first, I decided to go back and watch S1. Holy moly. I HATED Jesse in S2. Thought he was kind of a psychopath. Now I'm seeing some of the groundwork for that. Darcey really is a bit much. I am 39, so just a couple of years younger than her, but I swear to God I look 20 years younger. Her desperation is giving me secondhand harassment. And Pole is just a few bugbites away from losing his shit and going psycho on everyone. I actuallylike Abby. I'm sure that may change.

Ha ha, don't worry about it! I get it. Sometimes it's a little much for ME to look at it, too. 😉

I mean, it's a true story that follows the real life events pretty consistently, with the exception of combining some of the real life people into one character. I don't think the things like the Epipen are meant to be symbolic since they're based on things that actually happened. If this were fiction, then maybe.
