I'm really sorry more adults find it so hard to at least respect their parents. Kim has raised nine children to the best of her ability. She suffered a terrific loss of one of them at her hand. I feel so sad for her. I think many here are coming off their own bad relationships with parents and I'm so very sorry that happened to you. Everybody deserves a happy, supportive family because life's tough. Kim makes mistakes but I feel confident she loves her kids. Please don't beat up the few of us here that see things differently. It is a discussion board and some of us with successful relationships see things from a different angle. Peace!

Thank you for a most interesting discussion. We each have different opinions on the Plath family. It reminded me of this parable. ‘A group of blind men heard that a strange animal, called an elephant, had been brought to the town, but none of them were aware of its shape and form. Out of curiosity, they said: "We must inspect and know it by touch, of which we are capable". So, they sought it out, and when they found it they groped about it. The first person, whose hand landed on the trunk, said, "This being is like a thick snake". For another one whose hand reached its ear, it seemed like a kind of fan. As for another person, whose hand was upon its leg, said, the elephant is a pillar like a tree-trunk. The blind man who placed his hand upon its side said the elephant, "is a wall". Olivia needs to get her own life in order. I have never seen her parents or any family members on the show. I did read that Olivia convinced her parents to leave their church and her sister no longer speaks to her. I never see Olivia out with an old or new friend. Kim and Barry have a right to raise their family as they see fit. They have mended bridges with Moriah and Micah and have a loving relationship with their married daughter. The fly in the ointment is always Olivia. What has she done to improve the Plaths? Nothing but bring strife to everybody she touches. Most kids when they leave the family nest don’t say ‘gosh that was a wonderful experience’! No they say thank goodness I’m free! So there’s that! I think it speaks well for the Plath family that four young adult children are out on their own making good lives…well save for Ethan who’s stuck with Olivia and that bad choice!

The Plath family seemed to be just cruising along until Olivia entered the picture. They may have different beliefs than we do but their family and their business. There are many different families. Amish, Quaker, Fundamentalists, Seventh Day Adventist, Baptist and Catholic. We may not agree with their way of living but it’s their choice to live as they believe. Yes if one leaves the circle they may struggle with differences but that happens. Religious and ethnic! With that said Olivia left her own family after directing change in them, married a Fundy guy and inflicted all kinds of drama on his family trying to change them I predict the marriage will not last and eventually Ethan will make amends with his family members.

So Olivia just tickled to death that once again Ethan disrespected his parents invites him to get a room for the the night! Olivia just keeps stirring the pot. Ethan looks like a jackass running through the parking lot doing Olivias bidding. Max parents there but Moriah s are not invited because if Moriah invited her mom and dad then Olivia would not play keyboard and we know Moriah can’t afford to pay one! Go away Olivia just go away and let this family be! On another note. Moriah can’t sing. She’s a horrible vocalist!

So here’s my take on the Nick appearance! MTV is conditioning him for the next generation of Teen Mom or maybe even Teen Dad. Run Nick!

I haven’t had the pleasure of watching last nights episode just yet but I always find it unsettling that Olivia sets the boundaries for the Plath family! She would do well to start mending bridges in the relationship she has with her own family members and then concentrate on her falling apart marriage!

Now onto Maci. I swear any time Maci speaks to Bentley he freezes up wondering what she will say about Him now! Hes getting a little break now with her panic attacks just like he did with POCOS or whatever Maci ran around the country with! If her panic attacks are as bad as she’d like us to believe she wouldn’t be acting in front of a camera. She’d be laying down on a therapist couch! Dramatic little bitch! Catelyn too has run out of material. Enter April and Nick! Nick must have scored $$$ to be involved in that conversation!

I’m not shocked Amber at anything you might do mostly for attention! What I am truly shocked at is if you are really trying to make amends with Leah why write your silly, self serving book about yourself now??!

Exactly. The issue was reestablishing a relation ship with her daughter. Not who she dates, what cocktail she prefers or where she’s going on vacation should have been brought up during this time! The focus should be only on Leah!

I think her preference being mentioned by Amber at this time takes away from reconnecting with her child. It once again becomes all about Amber and not about Leah! Nobody gives a fig about Ambers sexual preferences!
