Green lakes are ones formed by glaciers - which explains a lot of the topography of the the northern part of the US. Also she said her Dad would turn their yard into a skating pond - so ice over grass. Again, a big part of upstate NY childhood.

I like Sarah - I enjoy her delight in the things she makes. It makes a great change from some of the negative attitudes you often see on these shows - that being there is such a burden and how dare they ask them decorate a cake! I am also from Upstate NY and love hear the accent. People really do talk like that.

I really enjoy watching this show. I like to see the different flavor combos and how creative some of the bakers are with the designs. I also have a great deal of respect for Ree Drummond and what she is doing for her little town in Oklahoma. So many small towns are dying and her family is bringing theirs back to life. YMMV.

As the youngest of four daughters - I can testify that I followed my sister's interests to be part of the the big girl group. It wasn't until we were older that my interests varied. I don't think it is that unusual.

Every time they showed the stuffed hedgehogs I thought of my dog and how she completely gutted hers. And ate treats/food out of its 'pelt' until I tossed it. Yes, those were identical to my dog's toy so someone went to PetSmart!

Was Worst Baker supposed to be in this time slot? They are burning it off on Saturday afternoons. Maybe that's why the schedule changed.

I have three thoughts that need to get out. 1. Anyone else watch RHof Melbourne?- Gina on that show is awesome (sat thru one dinner getting screamed at by the other HOs powdering her nose like they were dust under her feet). Love her but she is notorious for leaving tan stains everywhere. Wonder if Barbie watched that one and thought is was the way to go. 2. Just lost my Mom and a dog - had to FF thru Tinsley's grief. To me it is a different loss, both devastating. 3. Both Lu and Ramona want the finale episode to center around their events. Drama, drama, drama. FYI I would need a lot of alcohol to see the cabaret once, forget 5 times!

I don't understand the Subaru commercial where they leave the Grandma (who is a little girl thru most of the commercial but turns back into grown up Grandma in the car) at the bottom of her porch steps instead of walking her inside. She could wave from the porch. I don't even see rails to help her get up the stairs safely.

I thought it fit in with the rest of the dresses worn by the female dignitaries in the scene.

I watched on my DVR this morning and couldn't figure out why the editors chose to make it look like some weird drug dream. The commercials weren't messed up.
