  1. Given the last time, Barry proposed to Iris because he hoped to change her future death - Iris wanted him to propose because of love not crisis and it caused problems. This time, say if Identity Crisis happens and someone dies, would pushing to have a wedding sorta because of a crisis be the same thing again? Would Iris be happy with that?
  2. I think two big events could easily mean Identity Crisis or some other comic adaptation (to make comic fans happy) and wedding (to make shippers happy).
  3. If the rumored working title for the Arrow episode is "Greater Loss," possibly indicating a death. The more I think about the crossover (potentially being an Identity Crisis adaptation), I think TV Echo is right, that Lyla's life could be in danger. What happens if the introduction of Elongated Man is a red herring kinda like how people expected Chase to be the Vigilante (because of his comic book name and then it turned out that he was Prometheus). Comic fans who know the story would expect Elongated Man's significant other to be killed at some point, and then nothing happens. Then, all of a sudden Lyla gets killed - it would be shocking and horrible for everyone including the audience. The most stable couple in the DCtv-verse is broken. David mentioned something about Diggle's marriage will be a focus this year...what happens if that is the buildup before the fall. I don't like putting it out there, but it would be a way to make the crossover really emotional and shocking.
  4. Is EA a promotion in terms of salary though? I don't know the specific job title but quick google search for average salaries in the US for: EA to CEO $59,000 IT specialist $69,000 I think Felicity has multiple degrees and worked at QC in IT for awhile, so her salary might be higher than the average.
  5. I wouldn't dismiss her feelings about the promotion as banter. Felicity was clearly upset by Oliver's decision to promote her to EA when she found out. I think Felicity showed how unhappy she was about being an EA more than once - like when she refused to bring him coffee and broke the coffee maker when Blood came to QC.
  6. I am hesitant to say that learning the ropes for a few months would be adequate to become team leader. Besides planning and strategizing and utilizing intel, it also involves making the right call in life/death situations. I don't think what Sara, Lyla, Oliver, Diggle, and Felicity have learned to become leaders running mission ops are something that they picked up in a matter of months, but rather years of experience in high stress situations.
  7. I imagine a good team leader would need to be a skilled strategist/tactician to direct an entire team on a mission - a lot of foresight and experience making decisions under high stress situations - otherwise, it could get the team killed.
  8. I think at one point in comics, Black Canary lost her canary cry and learned to only depend on her fighting skills, so you wouldn't necessarily have to have two screechers on the team if they wanted to go there.
  9. Since the crossover is hinted to be more emotional and a potential wedding, an across-universe emotional comic book storyline that comes to mind is the Identity Crisis series - where someone stole the ATOM suit to kill Elongated Man's wife, causing the other superheroes to want to hold their significant others that much closer. This made the superheroes realize that they always took for granted that their loved ones could always be saved, but this time, it didn't happen - one of their own was killed. This could push a DC couple to think..let's not take things for granted...let's get married right away.
  10. I always thought that there wasn't really endgame in comics because comics never end. Their stories never really end. Relationships are always changing. Characters don't have happily ever afters. Even if they get married and have kids, things always change...one of them becomes a villain or is a clone or something is bound to happen to keep the story going or else the relationship would become stale/boring.
  11. It's crazy surreal at SDCC when you just see famous people walking around. I just did a double take when I thought I saw Chloe Bennett just walking around at the OMNI. I think I was standing in line next to Wendy Mericle and her family at the Lord Mesa table. She is very tiny in person. While waiting in line, I was standing there wondering what people from this forum would say if you guys met her in person since we spend a lot of time trying to decipher her word salad. A random funny moment I had was when I was waiting in line at the Tick activation and watching a guy who was passing out promos for the movie American Satan facing off with a religious fanatic who was trying to preach to the crowd. There's a lot of religious fanatics that come out to comic con every year condemning comic fans and scaring people into hating each other. The American Satan guy kept talking to the religious fanatic and annoyed him so much by going on about how a man of religion should be preaching about love, spreading kindness and hugging people, the religious guy left in a huff and the crowd cheered so loud. The best example of killing someone with kindness that I've ever seen.
  12. I found a couple of other times that Guggenheim interviews have referred to a "lowercase r" relationship between Oliver and Felicity: January 2014 - http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/arrow-season-2-preview-olicity-671164 They're both friends, they're very different people, they're co-workers in the oddest set of circumstances but at the same time, they're drawn to each other with an obvious chemistry. Their relationship, lowercase "R," is really fraught and that's what creates the fun and the drama for us, of watching these two very different people dance around each other. February 2015 - http://ew.com/article/2015/02/10/arrow-boss-who-will-learn-olivers-secret-next/ It’s going to be some interesting times for Oliver and Felicity both as friends, former romantic interests and co-workers. It’s an opportunity to move their relationship—lowercase r—into some new territory and get some scenes between Oliver and Felicity that are different than the ones we’ve seen on the show to date.
  13. Also during the crossover (Flash 2x08) in the magnetic arrow scene, Oliver said "Felicity, honey, it's a little hard to fight with you doing that in my ear."
  14. Could "rift" between Oliver and an OTA member be a physical rift/separation?...like the explosion created a physical split in the island or it ended up trapping an OTA member in one of the island's underground caverns...making it difficult for Oliver to find them or get to them.
  15. I don't know anything about Ratajkowski specifically, but I think the article brings up a good point. People shouldn't be put into boxes or underestimated because of one thing they do. What you look like shouldn't limit what you do. Just because someone is deemed sexy doesn't mean they can't be anything more than a sex object. It's like saying a nerdy girl can't be good at sports/fighting because all she is is brains. Each person can be so much more complex than that. Just because she is rich/famous doesn't mean that she doesn't raise a good point or that her issues aren't real or important. This reminds me of when Guggenheim said something about how there are so many bigger issues (ie. politics) than what's going on in Arrow and people should focus on those instead. There's always a bigger problem, but does that mean some issues should be ignored? Should a professor/adjunct complain about the number of classes they have when another person can't get classes to teach and is unemployed? Should we say, well you are lucky because you have a job, so you shouldn't complain when someone else doesn't have one? All these issues have valid points. One issue shouldn't be belittled because there are other problems too. People can address all of them.
  16. Onomatopoeia is another potential villain that might pop up sometime.
  17. I think an heirloom ring is more than just about the person who used to wear it, but about the marriage that it symbolized. For me, Moira's ring was already tainted when Oliver gave it to Felicity in the first place. It was the wedding ring that Moira wore during a marriage that was full of cheating, and then on top of that, Oliver proposed to Felicity with it while he was lying to her. Felicity and Moira never liked each other either. I'd lean more towards fresh start with a new ring.
  18. After Oliver made Baby Sara's necklace out of arrowheads, I've always hoped that Oliver would make Felicity's ring.
  19. I think that my issue was that after knowing that Felicity needed to understand why Oliver made the choices he did, I didn't see Oliver make an effort to find the answers that Felicity needed. Yes, he was willing to talk to her, but there was no indication that he thought about what Felicity asked of him. He didn't have any answers until after 5x17, but did he even think about it up until then? I would have liked to see him do a little soul-searching...maybe a line mentioning him mulling it over about what Felicity really needs when he was skyping Diggle or have him mention it to Thea at some point. A line or two indicating that it was on his mind, he was thinking about it or that he was trying to work on it would have gone a long way for me. Instead, we got robot!Oliver...
  20. To add to the list, some DC powered/powered pairings: Hawkman & Hawkgirl Aquaman & Mera Nightwing & Batgirl/Oracle Raven & Beastboy Superboy & Wondergirl Saturn girl & Lightning Lad
  21. Was William locked in the boat cabin? I didn't watch carefully, but if he was locked in, then he wouldn't be able to get away on his own.
  22. It is very difficult to catch fighters off-guard. If Black Siren was a well-trained fighter, I think that Black Siren would be able to immediately react to sudden movement (out of the corner of her eye) with an instinct to block/cover/move back and her awareness level of someone being behind her would have kicked up a notch when Felicity said Hey Pumpkin. Felicity isn't a trained fighter, so her punches wouldn't be as quick as a normal fighter either - more easily anticipated - especially with the rustle of her coat.
  23. Wow, MG retconned their own canon again, unless Barry or LoT messed up the timeline. In Arrow:Vengeance, 2-4 bullets hit Joe directly in the heart and Slade stood over his dead body in the aftermath.
  24. If Slade takes William and raises him, maybe he changes his name to Grant Wilson (the book never mentioned Grant, but we know he exists because of LoT Star City 2046).
