  1. I could also see Slade kidnapping William and raising him as his own son after the rescue. William will probably remind him of the son he lost. (Arrow:Vengeance mentioned that after the island, Slade spent most of his time with his son, but then Joe was killed sometime before Arrow S2 in part because of Slade's obsession with Oliver, so he blamed Oliver for Joe's death).
  2. My subtitles say: Chez Marta
  3. ...maybe it's just me, but the way they played Felicity loosening Oliver's tie scene...the looks they had and the tone...the subtext really did read: “Kick everyone out of here so I can ravage you”...even though it wasn't said...
  4. ...maybe Dig/Felicity playing a big role in the finale could be something like the S2 scenario where they out-think Chase - Chase thinks that Slade would turn on TA, Slade plays into that (then we find out that Slade schemed with Felicity and Dig all along to trick Chase)...
  5. Even if E2 Felicity was still going to MIT, it's possible that E2 Felicity interned at QC (sorta like how Isabel interned at QC in E1) in the summers and met/ran off with Oliver.
  6. I think Oliver-Felicity heart-to-heart talks are at least back anyways - in the promo, I think he's talking to Felicity when he says, "Every time I try to take a step forward, it feels like the past is pulling me back..." Hopefully, a little more touching, too.
  7. This is how I understood what Barry said: In the first timeline, Felicity found out about Oliver's son. Barry implied that the timeline will find a way to correct itself - Felicity will find out somehow - best case scenario would have been from Oliver. I can see how it could be interpreted the other way, too, though. Either preserve the lie or preserve Felicity finding out. I do remember being pissed at Barry for telling Oliver that he thinks they broke up because Felicity found out about William, without really knowing what their fight was about or if they really broke up.
  8. I thought Barry told Oliver to tell Felicity the truth at the end of the episode...maybe I'm remembering wrong.
  9. Oliver said that he would be there to talk to her, but at that time, did he know why he didn't trust her? Would they have really been able to talk it out right then or accomplish anything if Felicity had been ready to talk? I get the impression that Oliver didn't understand why he didn't really trust her until maybe 5x18 when Chase tortured him, so I wouldn't think that he was actually ready for the talk to Felicity and give her the answers that she needed in the flashbacks. Up until that point, the only reasons he gave people for his actions were because Samantha gave him the ultimatum and to keep William safe. The underlying reasons turned out to be more complicated than that and had more to do with his overall mental state after everything he's been through - something that sounds like he still needs to work through now. TBH, I am still very confused about his reasons even now.
  10. Whenever Laurel interacted with the team in S3, it made me think of what Felicity said to her in 3x03: "Are we favor friends now? Are we friends?" to sum up how she just inserted herself into TA.
  11. For me, it was more dangerous to wear my hair down in hand-to-hand fights because it could get in the way, get easily caught on weapons, or become a distraction in my field of vision. It made it difficult to sense the opponent's possible movement, particularly attacks from the side or behind, because I would see movement out of the corner of my eye - I remember thinking: was it my long dark hair that moved or was it the shadow of my opponent? so I always have my hair in a bun to avoid the distraction.
  12. Oliver to Diggle in Disbanded: "Chase showed me the truth about myself. You signed on for a crusade that turned out to be an outlet. It was an excuse for me to murder people...I put on a hood, and I created a persona because, John, somewhere along the way, something in me broke. Something is sick inside of me. The crusade--all of this--the foundation of it is a lie. So I disbanded the team because I won't sit by and watch all of you participate in my murder spree. I am beyond redemption." The only thing I can find about Oliver mentioning "monster" specifically was between Oliver and Anatoly.
  13. Yeah, after they get married, Felicity has all the legal and financial responsibilities of a step-mom, whether she knows about William or not. I think it would be dishonest and sorta fraudulent of him not to tell Felicity about William after he proposed because she basically agreed to something not knowing all the terms that came with it. Also, who paid for Oliver's secret trips to visit William in Central City? I am guessing Felicity paid for it (since she was the only one with a job at the time), without knowing what it was for.
  14. I liked the addition of the chip in Felicity's paralysis storyline because it brought awareness to current breakthroughs in technology toward overcoming paralysis. It was great to see people asking: is this possible? how far is the science today? Any attention to STEM research is awesome.
  15. Was it this one?: Felicity: I'm sorry. I am. I'm really hoping that you're gonna understand after we get Chase. Oliver: Don't count on it.
  16. It's kinda funny that ARGUS sees Cayden as such a huge threat for trying to hack them. Felicity probably could do just as much damage in her sleep, looking at how she hacks into ARGUS on a daily basis to use their satellites, programs, and pull intel in minutes without leaving a single trace. If Felicity wasn't working for Team Arrow, that could have been her in the shipping container (assuming she'd ever get caught).
  17. I think they should have compromised - have ARGUS feed Cayden food/water with nanites (I doubt he would suspect anything since he needs to eat/drink sometime), let Felicity and Helix rescue him, have him track Chase for Team Arrow, then ARGUS can swoop in, EMP Helix's computer systems and recapture him. It's not like he would go on some killing rampage if released for a few hours, he just tried to hack their transponder to pull data on their undercover agents. I mean, I know that it had to go the way it did for plot, but still...
  18. For the Aussie promo...my audio was messed up...what was 20 minutes for?
  19. Wouldn't Lyla refer to him as Noah instead if he was Felicity's dad? she worked with him and Felicity to stop Rubicon before, so she would have met him as Noah.
  20. ...still can't get over Felicity's lines: "You don't have to carry that burden any longer. Let me do it"... and seeing that Oliver so shaken that he had to get a drink after seeing those words in action...I'm so glad that someone finally noticed Felicity's willingness to sacrifice herself this season.
  21. Generally, people think of heartbeats by way of sound. However, the measurement of heartbeat patterns (i.e. ECG) are examined using electrical signals that make the heart pump. Like fingerprints, each person's heartbeat pattern is unique to each person's physiology and pathology because of the size and shape of your heart and the orientation of your valves. Each person's physiology results in a unique shape of electrical impulse for their heartbeat. Even if your heart beats faster or slower, the shape of the waves in the electrical signal would remain the same (just the duration of the waves change). There have been studies of heartbeats being used a unique biometric identifier for passwords and security.
  22. Talking about tracking people based on their heartbeats, there's apparently some new tech EP sensors that have been tested that can remotely detect heartbeats from a distance and send the data over the internet: http://www.livescience.com/6693-sensor-monitors-heartbeat-distance.html These sensors can detect changes in the electric field caused by a heartbeat without contact, so it is getting closer to reality that you could track someone's heartbeat. If the Helix hackers were able to set up a wide network of these sensors or hack other devices to behave like these sensors combined with Felicity's facial recognition program, they would be able to make a database logging everyone's heartbeat data. From there, they could track people based on this data.
  23. I think the punctuation is correct in either case NA used it though. Grammar-wise, I think parentheses and dashes are interchangeable/equivalent for adding info, quick change in thought, or a means to draw attention. Choice of usage depends on the writer's style/preference. I think square brackets are generally used in direct quotes for writer's inserts for clarification.
  24. If Helix ends up hacking the Arrow elevator, I would have a problem with that because Felicity's specialty is cybersecurity - no one should be able to hack her secured elevator.
